@mejames255: Vegeta got curbed stomped by Boo once Boo got mad and stopped playing with him it ended extremely fast he probably wouldnt have even gotten a final explosion off if it wasnt for Trunks. Seeing as hes with Goku in this fight that move is off the table unless he wants to kill them both and Boo walks away easy. Fat Boo wins this easily in a stomp since Goku is limited to SS2.

Both of them at full power probably take it in a really tough fight. I kinda doubt Buu is surviving a full force spirit bomb again and Vegeta can easily keep Buu busy long enough by being a punching bag again for Goku to get one off.

Buu most likely takes it due to regen but if they last the 5 mins, Goku curbs in SSJ3.

@protoman2000: Then probably just combo kamehameha and galick gun. Knock buu back and while buu dances his way up they fully charge. Still, a VERY tough fight. Super close. If they don't vaporize the ashes then Buu just comes back and finishes them.

@wabubub:Spirit Bomb isn't feasible at that point in the story. It was the idea of a Vegeta different from the version fighting Buu in this scenario, and they won't have humanity's or Gohan's ki. Kamehameha/Galick Gun combo won't work either, as neither men back then are the persons they are know to pull off that kind of teamwork, and if Vegeta blowing himself up couldn't do squat then any normal ki attack isn't going to cut it either.

well no, only reason goku didn't solo buu is because he was depowered

It all looks well for a little while. It looks like the saiyans are actually going to win... But Buu gets serious and mops the floor with them.

Buu, numbers hardly matter in DB if power gap is this massive plus Candy Beam is a one shot.

If they actually work together and go all out to beat Buu they can likely manage to beat him around then Vegeta puts up a fight while SSJ3 Goku comes in to finish the job.... but Buu might also still manage to regenerate and out last them but I think Goku can do it.

Wrong, Goku was depowered, plus he just has to vaporize Buu completely and he wins.

So Goku gets back and Buu puts himself back together. Then Goku has to trick Buu into just staying put and allowing SSJ3's lengthy transformation like in the original story, otherwise Buu stomps his ass before he pulls it off. Assuming he does pull it off, we've already seen this fight before and Goku couldn't put Buu away before his time on Earth depleted too much.

The plan would literally be to have Vegeta distract while Goku charges into SSJ3, Goku won't take any chances, and once he's in SSJ3 he stomps Buu. And Goku simply has to vaporize Buu with a ki attack and it's GG. Piccolo and Goku even CONFIRMED Goku wasn't going all out to save time spent on earth, he could've killed Buu had he went all out.

You is wrong on so many levels. It's not a team work thing outside basic logic. Vegeta's attack DID work. It just didn't vaporize the bits that were left. Which is something they'd learn pretty quickly. Even Piccolo admitted he could've finished Buu if he would've thought to do it when he went and checked for remains.

As I've said, Goku has no reason to expect that Vegeta failed anymore than Piccolo did, so he's not returning with a form he doesn't use until he has to. If he does use SSJ3 it'll be after Buu has already pulled himself together. And he has already shown he can't take down Buu while conserving his time on Earth.

@wabubub: "Basic logic" dictates that just because they decided to work together doesn't mean they'll miraculously develop impeccable teamwork, much less on par with what they've showed in DBS. Vegeta's plan didn't work, otherwise Buu wouldn't have been able to regenerate. If Vegeta killing himself didn't work, and a SSJ3 Kamehameha only resulted in a hole that got easily fixed, then a combined attack from two SSJ2s is going to fail as well.

Buu was able to regen from vapor in his fight with Gotenks, so killing him is not that easy.

If Goku is restricted to SS2 they don't have enough power to do it.

The detonation velocity refers to the speed at which the signal to explode moves through a material, and has relation with the initial expansion of the material.

This is most easily observed in super slow motion of detonating cord, in which plastic explosives line the cord and explode along it.

As you can clearly see, the fire and shockwaves expanding off of the exploding cord don’t move nearly as fast as the explosions moving through the cord, past even a minuscule distance.

The speed of a blast wave is determined by the pressure, and as the wave expands, that pressure is dispersed and thus the wave slows down until it simply becomes sound. It’s not like explosions have an “on” and “off” speed switches.

People who don’t know anything about explosions just go to google and type “how fast are explosions” and then think they know what the fuck is happening despite it being a subject people devote their entire lives to.

250g of PE-4 (essentially C4 but with a different plasticizing agent) had a shockwave averaging ~625m/s between 2 to 2.5 meters from the epicenter of the explosion.

The detonation velocity is 8.1km/s. If you had said you needed to go over 8.1 km/s to escape the shockwave, you’d be horribly, horribly wrong, and yet that’s what people do constantly in versus discussions.

Low explosives don't detonate, they deflagrate. There's no shockwave attached because again, they're subsonic explosions, at the higher end they look similar to detonations but are still subsonic.

Also, hypersonic isn't the minimum for detonation speed, anything supersonic fits the bill for detonation.

People are also forgetting that Goku wont go SS3 in this fight right infront of Vegeta at this point in the story Vegeta doesn't know about SS3 and Goku wants to keep it that way he doesn't wanna destroy Vegeta's pride anymore than he already has.

Buu. Five minutes is a long time tbh and Fat Buu was far beyond anything SSJ2 could handle.
