Darth Maul vs. Plo Koon

Maul beats Plo handedly in all of his incantations. I like Plo infinitely more than Maul but there is just no case to be made otherwise.

Inferior dueling skill even with his form advantage, less potent use of the force, severe disadvantage in physicality, lack of feats in comparison, etc.

@georgewbush: Maul seemed to be passive. It seems he was either detracted by something or not fighting back.

@kbroskywalker: I'm interested how it's going to play out. I also wonder what Maul is doing back with the rebels crew and the green eye thing later in the season. Does that have anything to do with Kenobi? Is that before or after his fight with Kenobi? So many questions!

I think the green eyes probably has something to do with Talzin. Dooku had the same green eyes when Talzin possessed him during SoD.

There is no ''circumstantial'' reasons for cheap-shotting / ambush LMAO.

Ezra clearly cheap-shotted (or ambushed him) Maul with jumping up from no where. Similar to his TPM event. I believe the producers are trying to show that TPM Kenobi's case wasn't anything special, anyone can cheap-shot anyone.

There are numerous examples over it;

• Sidious cheap-shotted Plagueis, despite being equal to him.
• Tenebrous cheap-shotted by Plagueis, despite being equal to him.
• TPM Kenobi cheap-shotted Maul despite being vastly weaker than him.
• Barriss Offee cheap-shotted Asajj Ventress despite being weaker than her.
• Eight Brother cheap-shotted Kanan despite being equal to him.
• Padme cheap-shotted Aurra Sing and captured her.
• Hondo Ohnaka and his men captured Dooku
• Vader cheap-shotted the Emperor despite being weaker than him.
• Kenobi cheap-shotted Dooku and captured him, Anakin cheap-shotted DD Vos and captured him.

Except there is none.

Maul wins in a decent fight.

Maul. Most definitely. Much better with a lightsaber, stomps physically, and stands up to Force (Eletric Judgement would do little to no damage to Maul, who can resist Lightning, up to a point) and who has equal if not better TK feats (pulling down the ship, thrashing Obi-Wan around like a dummie, throwing back Grievous) and even pushing Sidious back in a non finished piece of the duel, although that isn't canon. Plo was beaten by Savage, who in turn was beaten by Maul. No matter, ABC logic can be stupid, but Maul can get a solid 8-9/10 majority on Plo.

Darth Maul wins.

Plo Koon would definitely win both rounds. He was the 3rd best Jedi with a lightsaber, behind Mace Windu and Yoda (Obi-Wan may have been better than him).

Yeah maul wins comfortably here, he’s physically superior to koon, the superior fighter and a lot stronger with the force.

This. Except I actually vastly prefer Maul. There really is nothing to suggest Plo Koon can win against him. Hell, one of--if not--his best accolades in dueling comes straight from Maul. Savage Opress defeated Plo Koon in a fair fight. Maul should honestly win against Plo 9/10 or more.

Plo Koon only died because his starfighter exploded. Plo was about to start spinning (because that's a good trick and you should try it) to fire upon the ARC-170s behind him but the Clone pilots had force precog and sensed this would happen so they started shooting before he could maneuver. Overall, feat wise, Plo is a tier 9 character and we already know what happened to TCW Maul when he fought Sidious.

Mismatch. Utter stomp.

What makes you contend that Plo is tier 9?

I think that Plo wins round 2, as I view him in the tier of Grievous & his ilk, while post-TPM Maul (and his peers, late-TCW Obi-Wan & Ventress) has not done well against Grievous. But round 1 should go in Maul's favour, albeit in a difficult fight(Maul himself admitted that Plo would truly challenge him in Shadow Hunter).

Round 2: Maul easily.

Maul without any significant difficulty in either rounds.

Plo wins both rounds. Why? Because Plo was one of the strongest Jedi in his time. Hell, he even beat Yoda in a duel once.

So we would take R1 comfortably and stomps at R2
