Pretty much as the title says. Does Sidious still win, if so how hard is the fight? And if the trio win, how hard is the fight for them? Which of the trio live dies etc..

It's certainly a tougher fight for Sidious, he's not gonna be casually flipping around and cackling quite so much this time. Nonetheless, I still think he can win this. He's shown the ability to ragdoll both Maul and Dooku on seperate occasions and Savage Opress, despite his monstrous raw strength, is simply out of his league here.

I imagine the fight goes something like this;

Sidious engages the trio in a flurry of rapid lightsaber strikes; crimson blades of plasma thrust and slash against eachother with forking Sith lightning crackling in the air. The first to fall is Savage, overwhelmed by the sheer speed and fecority of the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Following this, the combined might of Tyranus and an enraged Maul push Palpatine harder in a duel than we've ever seen him struggle, but ultimately falling back on his insane power in the dark side brings him the win. Maul is second to go, swept off his feet by Sidious's telekinetic grasp and pulled towards Palpatine where he's skewered on the elder Sith's sword. From here, Tyranus is helpless against his master and can only delay the inevitable.

Darth Sidious wins most times, but in a much tougher fight. 9/10 to Palpatine.

Dooku has proximity to Yoda throughout the Clone Wars, Maul can press Sidious under particular circumstances and Savage is powerful enough not to be outright handwaved by Sidious when paired with partners of Maul and Dooku's caliber and thus can help to limit Sidious's available options to a certain extent. I think the team can take this in an incredible fight. Would love to see something like this animated.

@killbilly: Yeah me too. I'm hoping they do a what if series for Star Wars, like they did for Marvel.

Sidious was worried about Dooku and Ventress. This fight is simply unfair. Team stomps.

@breakingthrones: Star Wars is one of those series that is perfect for a "What If" series.

@living162637: I doesn’t really. Sidious was worried that Ventress was growing too strong, and Dooku would use her to overthrow him. That was mid TCW series.

Take Savage out of the fight, and the team still wins.

I'd go with the team. Dooku is close to Yoda who is more or less equal to Sidious. Add in Maul and they can take it. Savage dies though, I think Sidious will take the fight a lot more seriously with Dooku around than he did in TCW, and if he does Savage likely suffers the same fate as Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin.

@living162637: It would be Count Dooku as of that fight, so CW season 5 Dooku.

Sidious still stomps with the force (he could've killed Savage and Maul instantly when the fight begun. He does that, and Dooku is left alone and he dies) but if Dooku and Maul can pin him down into a sabers, he's in trouble. They might have a chance to win. It could still go both ways.

Force only: Palps 10/10

Sabers only: Draw 5/5

All out: Palps 8/10

@comicgirl21: No way. There is a very overlooked moment where Sidious is pushed.

@lightordark: but he still initially just one shot them both, didn't he? Also, he one shot Dooku with force choke from the other side of the galaxy, and was ragdolling Yoda even. Palps is way outside of reach for these 3 force wise. If they can't quickly overwhelm him with sabers, they'll never win. All he needs is one opening andhe one shots each with the force.

Palpatine should still win but He's definitely gonna need a lot more effort to do so.

@comicgirl21:

Sidious never ragdolled Yoda lmao and feared the combo of a stronger Ventress + Dooku

Add Dooku + Maul and then Savage? Yeah he’s dead

@comicgirl21: He definitely didn’t ragdoll Yoda. Yoda threw him across the room, and Palps tried to run. Force wise, Palps is stronger, but consider the context of his “one shots.” Both happen to apprentices, not combatants who think they have the advantage.

Dooku was pissed when Palps choked him. Same situation in a room with Ventress, and Palps isn’t walking away. Maul, Savage, and Dooku—Palps wouldn’t try that.

Well, in the show, while Darth Sidious may have had a fairly decisive advantage over his apprentices individually, it wouldn't be significant. If another being with the power of a Sith Lord joined themselves to the apprentice, that right there constituted a real threat to the Emperor. Lord Tyranus believed that the assistance of Obi-Wan Kenobi or (prime) Darth Maul would have proven sufficient, and was on the threshold with his own pupil, Asajj Ventress, before Darth Sidious stepped in. Savage Opress left Count Dooku before he could receive the necessary training. Emperor Palpatine was able to handle the two Zabrak warriors because Darth Maul was past his prime, still recovering from his twelve-year ordeal, and Savage Opress lacked real training. Darth Tyranus has ample accompaniment here -- a force noticeably more powerful than Asajj Ventress alone. I don't believe that Darth Sidious could survive this.
