@BAUagent: As much as I prefer Apocalypse (character design and motives are better) over Darkseid, this battle is a completely one sided. Apocalypse at his best is a planetary level threat, whereas Darkseid is galaxy/universal threat. Darkseid wins.

I love Apocalypse, but ya Darkseid stomps 99% of the versions of Apocalypse. The only versions that could last a second would be Ultimate AND/OR X-men Evolution Apocalpyse and sadly enough that only makes up 1% of his MU appearance. Sucks to agree with Bane but it has to be done.

There was a point in time when Apocalypse was the most powerful being on Earth, but nowadays he's shadowed by characters like Sentry and Thor. I just wish writers would actually give him something of a story in which he could display the magnificence that is his power. Here on the Vine he doesn't get as much praise as he should be getting, too, and I think that's why a lot of people underrate him and/or put him in matches where he'd be slaughtered (e.g., such as this one).

Because you made a claim of Apcoalypse being the most powerful being on Marvel Earth at one point, and now you need to have some form of proof to back this statement up, otherwise I'm going to assume that you made it up.

Man, I must have left an impression on you for you to assume I make common facts up! Your proof is in the comics I'm surprised you haven't read. I suggest you pick up the 1986 issue of X-Factor #5 and #6 (also issues in the 20's), and how about X-Men: Apocalypse vs Dracula? Some history is mentioned in that, too, by Ozymandias if I remember correctly. I also recommend reading some early Cable comics, you might find what you want in there. =)
