Who wins and Why?

True shikai wins cuz he has two swords.

I would give dangai Ichigo the physical strength edge, but true shikai Ichigo seems to be more versatile and probably a better fighter in general.

Going by feats alone I would give it to dangai, statement wise true shikai could arguably win. It depends if you think Yhwach meant Ichigo's shikai power was equivalent to his dangai, or if his power in general was equivalent, for example his new shikai=dangai shikai and new bankai=dangai bankai.

id go with dangai ichigo. ichigo, zangetsu, and the quincy got stronger to another level. While with true power ichigo only ichigo got stronger and he simply unlocked his full power. If we go by feats and portrayal as well dangai ichigo is stronger.

They're = in power and stats but True Shikai Ichigo is more versatile and smarter.

True Shikai Ichigo isn't anywhere remotely near Dangai levels, people misinterpreted Yhwach's statement as the picture of Ginjo corresponding with his statement means he was saying Ichigo regained the "power that defeated Aizen" in Fullbring arc. Unless you think Fullbring Ichigo = Dangai Ichigo, that means Yhwach was referring to his shinigami powers in general. True Shikai feats and portrayal are massive shit compared to Dangai.

Honestly wats the point? This Ichigo was said to be as strong as this form then Yhwach said he was on another level when he got serious then called his previous power defenseless. TS Ichigo stomps this. The difference between them is like dangai Ichigo absorbing the soul king and mimihagi along with a few sternritters. Don't forget Ichigo was complete fodder to Yhwach in their 1st encounter and was doing pretty much the same after the SK upgrade.

True shikai Ichigo regained the power he had in his mugetsu form, not dangai. True shikai wins easily

Feats are what matters. Dangai Ichigo can blow away a moutain with a force from his swing, crush a black-hole levels torrent of power by swinging his hand, tanked a nuke-sized fragor with a minor burn and one shot and blitz a fully transformed 4-dimensional Hogyoku Aizen and is so above him in spirit energy that Aizen couldn't even register it at all.

What exactly did true shikai Ichigo do to put him anywhere CLOSE to these levels of power, speed, durability, spirit energy etc? Nothing.

Saying true shikai is stronger based on some vague statement that can mean many different things is some bullshit.

People using the sword swing argument are also forgetting his shikai fullbring ichigo could also use shockwaves with the power of an actual getsuga, yet TS couldn’t. So I guess fullbring ichigo>>>TS.

Actually, the official translation says ”the elevated power you obtained to defeat Aizen”. Ginjo is comparable in strength to Ichigo in the light novels and candidate for Soul King as well. We also have Zangetsu telling Ichigo that every time he fought prior to true dual Shikai was just a fragment of his true power.

I dunno, the gap probably isn't huge but considering how scaling works and his Royal Guard training, I really don't see his true Shikai being weaker.

True Shikai wins IMO, as he's at least as strong as Dangai Ichigo, if not stronger (OMZ mentioned how Ichigo till that point only used a small part of his total power, and Dangai also used a fake Zanpakuto, meaning he's also included in that "small part of you total power" bit).

True Shikai Ichigo > Bankai Version 3 Ichigo > Shikai Version 2 Ichigo > Bankai Version 2 Ichigo.

Shikai Ichigo got one shotted by Base Askin and fondled by a toying around Yhwach who wasn't even using The Almighty

Dangai Ichigo was fondling 3rd Form Aizen and only got hurt once

Tho, funny enough, TS Ichigo has better speed feats than Dangai (his feat of deflecting over 20 arrows centimeters away from himself puts him anywhere from MHP+ to relativistic in speeds, depending on how fast you think those arrows move -generally around lightning speed-).

True shikai ichigo Obviously and nothing in the rules prevents him to go bankai if needed
