Daken:
Vs
@laflux: Fair enough but I was replying to the other guy xD. As your here went to share your reasoning?
if I remember correctly, Kaine is extremely strong and way faster than Daken, so I think I'll give him that. Daken doesn't have his father's indestructible skeleton, and Kaine could probably break every single bone in his body just by punching him around.
Kaine he is faster and stronger than Daken is. but to give Daken credit he is more skilled. nonetheless Kaine 7/10
@Strider92: Sure.
Spider-Man in Dark Reign had advangtades which proved key to his victory against Daken. First and most important was his Spider-Sense. Daken's stealth trick of randomly appearing and disappearing aided him in nearly cutting Peter's head off- it was only Peter's Spider-Sense which saved him. Second was Webbing. Spider-Man was able to use that to help K.O Daken via use of the environment by electrocuting him- and could be logically used to Incap him . Third is experience. Spider-Man had fought with and against Logan multiple times by then, who shares many similarities with Daken and hence the insults from Spider-Man comparing Daken unfavorably to his Pa =D
Kaine has none of these Advantages. Instead Kaine has potentially greater Stats due to the influence of the other, though that hasn't really been displayed i.e Spider-Man gave a Vulked Out Venom a better fight than Kaine IMO, Stingers, Mark of Kaine, and probably somewhat greater healing (impaled by Carnage i.e) and pain tolerance. Daken's Healing and good Pain Tolerance mitigates the Stingers and acid burn somewhat. As for Kaine's stat advantage, in terms of strength, Kaine can K.O Daken. I don't doubt that. But he won't be one shotting him IMO, seeing as Kaine has taken sucker punches from Skaar, and a rampaging Thing. As for Speed and Agility, Kaine tends to Tank damage alot more than Spider-Man due to his lack of Spider-Sense and mentality, and Daken has kept up with the likes of Wolverine and X-23- even Spider-Man stated that he was as fast as his dad. All in all, I think it comes down in this case to who can put out the most damage up close, and Daken naturally leads in that with his claws.
@laflux: Interesting. Seems a fair assessment however I would argue 2 points:
I think this is pretty close imo whoever wins isn't taking a big majority.

- Spider-man fought Wolverine back in 1987 (Spider-man Versus Wolverine 1-shot) and the clone saga occurred in 1994 and ran until 1996. Kaine was cloned after that fight occurred thus he most likely remembers fighting Wolverine.
- I wouldn't say Daken could put out more damage up close. He's a better fighter which means he will most likely be more efficient but we've seen Kaine take a hell of a lot of punishment from Carnage and not fall. Kaine is capable of matching whatever Daken can dish out.

Ah that would make sense. He would also had knowledge of the Secret Wars encounter with him and the rest of the X-Men Though he would still lack memories from Astonishing Wolverine and Spider-Man, The training fight that happened during the Other etc
When I meant more Damage, I meant due to strategic placement of strikes, rather than raw damage. Kaine is alot Stronger than Daken, and has Claws as well, but due to his lack of formal training compared to Daken, might not be as effective.
I do however agree that it would be a close fight. I just said that Daken wins even without M.Claws, since all that does is negate Healing factors, and since neither Kaine (nor Spider-Man) show mid battle healing feats, it doesn't really make a difference.
@laflux: Seems as good a argument as any.
On another note I wonder how Kaine is going to recover from getting eaten lol. In the solicits for SS 14 it says he's dead and mentions the "Other".......I think i see where this is going!
@Strider92: Nerd Rage- Wrote a long paragraph explaining my feeling- then it got deleted!!!!!
Damm you ComicVine
Anyway Long story short. Great. I hated OMD/BND because they all but retconned for me, the best arc of Spider-Man's Modern history- The Other. Joe however, did say that the Other wasn't forgotten, and its nice to see it live on in Kaine.
I would like Kaine though to embrace himself as a hero. And if him making contact with the Other can do this, then awesome- and I'd prefer that, over a power amp like Peter got. I would say that Morlun could possibly rustle his way out of this, but I think his stint in Black Panther makes him way too strong to be a realistic villain for Kaine.
