Scotty has this one. He can open his eyes faster than Canary can scream.

His eyes are already open. He has to reach up and touch the side of his visor or lift it completely before she screams. Depending on the size of the blast, she may be able to dodge thee initial attack. Black Canary is pretty agile and Cyclops doesn't usually unload on the first shot. I think a decent case could be made for both.

Pretty sure the visor has a mental command. Could be a good fight depending on what Cyke does first.

Wow, this would be one hell of a match...

Ultimately, I think Scott would end up taking it. Mostly due to the fact that he can shoot optic blasts faster thn she can warm up her vocal cords ...

I'd actually like to see more of the fighting rather than who could use their energy blasts.

Cyclops isn't using the visor anymore in Astonishing X-men 23. He can just blast away like he did to Kruun.

What if Canary screamed her loudest and ducked.

And then started rolling around the place up and down he couldn't hit her.

She wouldn't move fast enough....he just needs to see you...and you're blasted.....he always keeps his EYE opened...if you know what I mean....

You mean hand-to-hand? Well, Cyke's not a bad fighter but, aparrantly, Canary is one of the top seven fighters in DC.

If she could somehow get in close, she could take the fight, but she's not, so she won't.
