Round 1:
Round 2:
@the_fallen_lord: Ego lolstomps. The Guardians only beat Ego due to Starlord's celestial powers.
Also inb4 "Firestorm transmutes."
R1: Definitely Ego. They don't know how to put him down. Firestorm, Atom, and Heatwave can tear the surface to pieces, but it won't do anything. They could definitely destroy a bunch of his human forms, but he'll just keep coming. Mick, Sara, and Rip get quickly wrecked. Vixen and Firestorm eventually get knocked from the skies. Atom's durability and size allows him to last a long time, but he'll eventually go down too. Citizen Steel is almost impossible for Ego to put down, so he lasts the longest, but I'd assume Nate could still be drowned. If Ego just sucks Nate from the surface, and makes the crust into that quicksand he used against Drax, Nate's strength is gonna be useless and eventually he drowns.
R2: The Legends, they're now in the same position as the Guardians essentially, but in a better position to win. Once they reach the core, they just have to do basically what the Guardians did. Citizen Steel, Mick, and Firestorm can hold off Ego's tendrils and human forms, while Ray shrinks the core from existence and destabalizes the planet. Alternatively, Citizen Steel, Mick, and Atom can hold off Ego while Firestorm transmutes the core. It's no larger than the Dominator Metabomb. If all else fails, Firestorm can sacrafise himself and go nuclear at the core, destroying Ego. This is probably last resort, but the Legends still win in the end.

Probably this.
@firestormfate1919: The GoTG had Mantis too put Ego to sleep, that's the only reason they won. How are the LOT in a better postion? Ego isn't Incapacitated and controls the entire planet.
The LOT are missing the only two reasons the GoTG stood a chance.

Ego's control of the entire planet was incredibly weak, he was only ever shown controlling very small specific areas.
I also don't think Mantis' role was that huge. Most of the time Ego was asleep they were dealing with the Soveriegn anyway, who aren't a factor here, and once he woke up it's not like they were suddenly screwed. Groot didn't even start on the core till near the end of that battle. This is basically just post-Sovereign in the movie, and that's still very winnable for the Legends.
Peter's Celestial Powers played a more diract role in holding off Ego, but I don't think that's anything the Legends couldn't replicate. Citizen Steel's a multi-thousand tonner, with absolutely insane levels of durability, meaning Ego literally can't put him down without special means (ie: suffocation, drowning, temperatures). He can fill in for Peter on the physical side, and Ego's gonna be busy throwing everything he's got at one of the best tanks out there. Then Atom or Firestorm (depending on who's destroying the core) will also be there to help. They're both incredibly hax, and can blast away at the tendrils or Ego's human form. Mick's gun has large damage output, he can certainly harm Ego with the blasts. Rip, Sara, and Vixen can deal with the tendrils. Mainly Mick, Jax/Ray, and Nate are gonna be filling in for Peter in this scenario, with Vixen, Sara, and Rip playing a much lesser role.
The other thing is, this is all gonna be over much, much faster than it was for the Guardians. They needed Groot, who had adolescant intelligence, to navigate a complex maze in order to win. This took maybe 8-10 minutes. That's how long Celestial Peter held off Ego.
The Legends won't need remotely this long. Atom can shrink the core from existence with his Dwarf Ray in less than a second, based on the Nth Meteorite feat. The Legends wouldn't even need to engage Ego, his core just pops from existence, and the planet destabalizes. If Firestorm transmutes the core, it takes maybe 10 seconds based on the Dominator Bomb feat. Nate, Ray, and Mick will have absolutely no issue holding Ego off for ten seconds before Ego realizes his brain is now jellybeans. If Firestorm just decides to go nuclear to destroy the core, likely sacrificing himself (the Legends need to leave the premises, and they'll split into unconsious human form at the center of a destabalizing planet), it'll take like a second tops. They probably don't even go down in the first place. Jax just flies right down, lands on the core, and blows it to smithereens. They arrived at the core minutes before Ego greeted them. All three of thee win scenarios are really not difficult, and Mantis' and Peter's powers are not necessary.
@firestormfate1919: As soon as Ego woke up his Core started killing Groot instantly though, The LOT wont get a chance like Groot had. Ego will be on them from start to finish.
Atom who's the only person her able to reach the core has been dealt with by way weaker foes.

You're thinking of this way too much like the actual climax, the Legends don't need to reach the core of the core that Groot did.
Atom can just pop the entire structure from existence within a second using his Dwarf Ray, he doesn't need to navigate that maze. Jax can nuke the thing in a second, or transmute it in 10 seconds. All of this could happen before Ego even started attacking. In the movie he wasn't on them right when they got to the core, it took a couple minutes even before Mantis put him to sleep.
Even if Ego does attack them immediately, which he won't based on the movie, Nate, Jax/Ray, and Mick will have no issue holding him off for a maximum of 10 seconds.
@firestormfate1919: The only reason the GoTG didn't get attacked instantly was because Peter is Ego's son, Ego doesn't know these people.
Ego will most likely start killing them before they even reach the core.

There's no reason to think Ego was holding back, that's complete speculation. Once Peter betrayed Ego, he was fully content with killing him and draining his lifeforce. If they start going to the core immediately (because they already have knowledge unlike the Guardians), Ego probably won't even notice immediately, given it took him minutes after the Guardians reached the core to even notice them, and that was against a group of people he was actively trying to kill.
If anything the Legends, who he's unaware of, are gonna reach that core much more discreetely than the Guardians, who he was fully aware of and trying to murder.
@firestormfate1919: you said Ego wont attack instantly, and why not? because he let the GoTG stay? Yea because he needed Peter..... He'll most likely attack the LoT at the start he doesn't need nor know them.
composite legends solo entire mcu via spear of destiny
I would argue about Infinity Gauntlet but it doesn't have really many feats so yeah CW Spear > MCU IG
Only hope is Firestorm but Jax never transmutated such enormous being as moon sized planet. Ego stomps
