Nothing the team can do can hurt Cap, for instance. At the end of the movie, he survived a serious punch from Thanos (his power was a 5/6). A minute later, a 6/6 Thanos wiped out half the life in the universe with a snap (he put less effort into it than the punch). Therefore, Cap survived 5/12th of a universal attack. Unless Superman is thought robot or prime one million and Darkseid is Soulfire, they cannot even hope to make Cap flinch.

He was honestly quite weak. Surviving a punch from Thanos means nothing. Peter survived a slam from Thanos, does this mean he can beat Superman as well.

About your second point, the infinity stones allowed him to kill half the universe. When cap was hit, Thanos was not using the stones. Those two instances are not relatable at all
