CV High Tier Championship
Welcome to the first of hopefully many, what will be Comicvine's best debaters championship. Every 6 months will be the start of the new championship for one of the championship belts. Low to Mid Tier, and Mid to High Tier, much like other sports with a light weight, and heavy weight. Each match lasting 3 weeks, with a week for votes. 16 participants with will take place in this tourney to debate their hearts out with the characters they enjoy in a fun and competitive match up Winners will be titled the champions of that Tourney, and have their names place in a specials honor with each revival of the tourney, cemented forever as a recognized champion. So with that said, lets talk details of the match.
The Committee will oversee the Tourney, and help set up matches. Committee members will include the host who will do most of the work, and several Viners who wish to help.
Rules
You must have over 1000 posts. This is for people who should have a good idea how to debate.
You must have time for this tourney. It is time constrained, and you need to be able to select characters in a timely manner, and have at least 3 posts each for a fair chance at votes. If someone never responds to a thread over 7 days of their turn, they are DQed. You should make time for this one. This is both for fun and competitiveness.
All matches will be CaV style. The host will pick who faces who, but the players themselves have a total of 2 days total to decide on characters used, and stipulations to be used in their match. Any longer than 2 days will mean DQ.
Make sure you have a roster of mid to high tier characters to use. Being able to debate mid to high tier is a must for fair match ups. If unsure the specifics, there is no real limits. Committee can vote on questionable characters if they should fit the idea of the rules or not.
Teams of characters can be used, but no more than 3 at a time, and your competitor must agree to it.
When it comes to hax abilities, it is up to the players to understand and accept such things to be involved in the match.
Before matches are posted, the competitors must submit the characters and rules for their match to the host. The host will then post the match after looking it over with the committee. After that, the players debate in three weeks time.
Votes will only be open to people with over a 1000 posts, and they must explain why they choose whoever they chose as winner. Committee will also vote on matches to make sure things keep moving smoothly.
There is only 16 spots open, first come first serve.
Committee of this first championship will be @jacthripper and @higorm. Myself, @sirfizzwhizz will host.
