@estrelladeleon: @kade17:Anywho, who wins??
Shanks has the AP to win here but Yuno, and BC characters in general, is much faster than anyone in the OP verse.
Observation haki definitely closes the gap but Yuno has flight and teleportation advantages.
Not to mention Yuno is about to pop off so I may bump this for good measure in a week or 2.
Unfortunately BC characters are insanely fast. They don't stack up in terms of AP but the speed scaling is ridiculous compared to most modern shonen. Yuno's flight could pose a problem too but the thing about shanks is we have only seen glimpses of his full power.
I don't see speed as a problem, precisely Shanks is characterized by having an observation haki that literally allows him to know the future to such levels that he can know where, how, and in what way an enemy will attack. Being able to also know from where it will attack, and what consequences these attacks will have for said future.
@nicov: Knowing an attack is coming and being able to do something about it are two very different things One Piece even gives you an example of this with Kaido tagging Luffy who also uses Future Sight and Kaido is insignificant to Yuno in speed.
@wk_decaff: Kaido has future sight as well, that's why tagging Luffy is not a problem for Kaido since he knows where Luffy will go if he tries to dodge. It is something that Yuno doesn't have.
@zoken: An interesting premise sadly Kaido wasn't using Future Sight and didn't start untill much later in the fight, and Yuno has his own form of perception boost in the form of Mana Zone so the moment Shanks starts moving Yuno is tracking him add that with the fact that Yuno's speed is unsurmountable there's just no way Shanks is keeping up. Let's say Shanks reacts to the first attack using Future Sight , what about the second? Third? Forth? What stops Yuno from attacking over and over leaving Shanks in a position where he physically can't move fast enough to keep up?

From what has been handled so far, haki can be developed to higher levels, in Kaido's case he had the fruit and other abilities, instead of what has been seen of Shanks who only use haki to fight.
He could not only see an attack, but rather an overall effect. That is to say, he was not only going to know about the laser from Kid, but he was going to know where it would hit, to whom, what damage it would cause, and even what disastrous effects it would have for his future. It is a much higher degree it seems.
@nicov: None of this matters if he can't physically move fast enough to react.
Ngl, this is a very good match.
Shanks sees like 10-15 seconds into the future, speed won’t really be an issue in this case, and he likely has the AP advantage.
We’ll see this chapter how Yuno does
@mangacomics69: go sleep
@mangacomics69: go sleep
????
@ninjarizer: Yuno can now stop the flow of time so Future Sight is useless.
Not that FS was ever a decoding factor because Shanks is far too slow but now he doesn't even have the ability to see the future.
@ninjarizer: Yuno can now stop the flow of time so Future Sight is useless.
Is there spoilers I don’t have an idea about or…
@ninjarizer: Yes that's a spoiler Yuno has a spell called "Neverland" and time doesn't pass in Neverland it's how he stops Lucius' time magic.
@wk_decaff: But he can react because he can see what Yuno is going to do.
And yes, that includes spells and normal attacks.
In fact CoO haki exists exactly for that, to fight the speed of the enemies (AKA Kizaru).
@nicov: Now he can't use Future Sight at all but even then your logic is flawed.
