Did he not have the gauntlet did he not have weapons and armor when he fought for grandmaster? do people say base thor to not include his hammer...or do people just say thor doesnt get his hammer in the described battle?
@nightgate: they dont say he almost died they say he almost had him there but thanos dodging turns the tide of the fight back and he wins, they do seem to believe Cap could win if he kept the pressure up.

It's good AOE, but the concentrated damage itself wouldn't be enough to take Thanos down in one hit. He can soak it. It'll hurt but he'll still be in fighting condition.
Why the hell are the Russo brothers still saying stuff that contradicts the things that happen in their films? Like they had complete control of some aspect of their films and instead of just shooting it so something would happen they just add it in an interview later.

Thor can't hurt Thanos without Stormbreaker. Lightning and punches are gonna be nearly no-sold and his punches/Mjolnir can't daze or make Thanos bleed.
