The bolded and underlined part is wrong. America has some extremely accurate rockets that nukes can be attached to. The U.S. has missiles that a nuclear warhead can be attached to that are accurate to within inches, they have missiles that a nuke can be attached to that can fly through a bedroom window and hit the target. They have missiles that can be programmed to fly around a target over and over until they see a door open and fly through the door. They still aren't fast enough if he wants to dodge them, but they are accurate enough.

When I say nuke I'm thinking of an ICBM since those are the ones used for first strike and are the only ones that can reach a target very far, very quickly.

Perhaps I'm wrong. From what I can tell though they aren't that accurate. I'm pretty sure the US hasn't made any recent ICBM's. According to Wikipedia The Trident 2 missile has a CEP( Circular error probability) of 90-120 meters. Source(see 33). It doesn't say how accurate the Minuteman II only the Minuteman I(200 meters)is but I doubt it's more accurate than the Trident II.

Technically they could mount a nuke on a different missile but that would likely take a lot of time and none of the other missiles are nearly as fast as a ICBM or have anywhere near its range. On top of that I don't think there are any missiles that have the capacity to carry warheads like an ICBM. If they used a smaller one it would likely be a low yield nuke which is something I think Superman could deal with.

Nuclear warheads can be attached to many missiles, not just ICBM's. You can attach a 200 kiloton nuclear warhead to a cruise missile and a 200-400 kiloton warhead(for comparison the nuke that hit Doomsday and Superman was between 300 kiloton and 1.2 megatons) to a tomahawk missile. They would definitely be slower, but any missile we have would be too slow if Superman wanted to dodge it. The point is that they are extremely accurate.

nuclear exlosion from point blank range has pretty much no difference depending on how much yield it has. At the epicentre energy yield is the least destructive thing. Plasma heat and neutron collision + atomspheric preasure created by the explosion is waaaaay more destuctive. If we go by the logic It would make much difference if supes and dd were hit by 10 megaton nuke. Thats speaking realistiacally. ofc in comic feats there is always that myth about larger nukes beeing more destructive somehow when they are hit directly but not in reality.

Ofc if you talk about the range of the explosion then sure. Larger nuke will absolutely destroy much larger area. However at the epicentre the difference in size is very minimal.

In reality nuclear chain reaction produces around same level of plasma heat independent of the size of the bomb.

@supermanforever: The epicenter is also larger too depending on the yield of the bomb. For example, the fireball radius of the Little Boy atomic bomb pales in comparison to the Tsar Bomba's fireball radius.

Not arguuing about that. But w87 warhead would create enough large fireball to hit them. But regardless i dont see nukes tagging him anyway. Not only are nukes not faster enough, but also they have not good capabilities for maneouvering and so on,

In the world engine feat, both the world engine and the Kryptonian mother ship are synchronized to each other. Superman destroys the world engine and then the mothership stops its gravity beam simultaneously. After the beam is disabled, Louis and team are ready to drop Kal-El's ship into the mother ship to create the singularity. Superman is still weakened and doesn't fly then. He waits to gain energy from the sun and then the next moment we see him reach Metropolis from the Indian Ocean in seconds to save Louis and the C-17 from being destroyed by Zod. There he is clearly cloaked at more than Mach 900. He and Zod both can also reach Wayne's Satellite at GTO in just 3 seconds. That again is a super high hypersonic showing. There is nothing here.

What are we going to do? Nuke him? He only got hit by the nuke to begin with because he thought it would kill him and DD. He was clearly wrong and underestimated the Kryptonian physiology.

He'd take a nuke we use on him and toss it back at us.

Does he have high hypersonic speed feats in BvS. The only one that I can remember is the one where he flies from Metropolis to somewhere in Mexico in like a second to rescue that girl. I don't know how fast that's supposed to be but it's definitely high hypersonic.

We can't exaactly hit him with nukes because he will outfly and out maneuver any projectile, whether in a ballistic trajectory or otherwise. If we use nukes, we'll only end up destroying the area where the nuke will eventually land. Besides he has heat vision and freeze breathe as ranged attacks to destroy anything from a distance. He could just fly to military bases, use Xray vision to scan them and destroy the nukes in the silos itself.

No metal on earth is strong enough to stop him. The guy effortlessly plows through metal native to his home planet that's been shown to be stronger than what we have.

I think it'll take him a long while to decimate the whole planet if he doesn't eventually cause disasters like earthquakes, but either way we're screwed.

Between his speed and power, yeah, he kills us all.

We do have bombs that could probably kill him, given what a more standard hydrogen bomb did to him, but he's gonna be too fast for us to pin down, especially because he doesn't tire. While he can't outrun the explosion, he can certainly outrun the launch of the bomb. He can kill entire government facilities and military bases in seconds, cripple communication and infrastructure, and leave the world in ruins.

There is a major different in the two scenes. They both have cutaways and editing, however, in the Atctic to the African Savannahs there is absolutely no way to accurately judge how long it actually took him to get there. In the World Engine scene we do have a way to at least get an educated guess because of the Helicopter in the scene traveling at the same time.
