@allstarsuperman: He does seem to be younger than he was pre-Flashpoint, but I'm not aware of any definitive indication that he was de-aged

Otherwise, I think Dick takes it - just barely.

Although, Shiva is appearing in an upcoming Robin issue, and is meeting Connor again. If they fight, and it's a stalemate, then I'll come back and re-evaluate this match.

Where’d you read about Shiva making an appearance? Considering the emphasis they’ve been putting on Connor’s h2h abilities, I imagine some type of fight would be likely

The artist, Melnikov, posted some previews of issue eleven. The solicit for that issue also mentions Connor facing a former enemy before he returns to his old life. Again, not sure if they'll fight or not; could just be a quick in-and-out cameo by Shiva.

But yeah, right now I think Dick takes it out. Faster, stronger, and slightly more skilled (imo). The only advantages Connor has is his durability (which is about even with Dick) and his overall better showings - which is not really enough to take it.

Like I said though, if he stalemates Shiva, and we include his healing factor (which is a pretty massive boon for him), then I think I'll start backing Connor.

If I may add some of my thoughts (not looking to debate in my own thread, just spark some discussion)

IMO, back when Connor was being actively used, he was established as above Dick in terms of h2h (the Monkey Fist storyline really cemented that). However, Dick’s definitely improved since then, but it remains to be seen if Connor will be written as being above him again (considering the Monkey Fist arc seemed to place Connor as being >= even Batman, it’s definitely possible). The Lazarus arc has hyped him up as being one of the very best, and has had him beating everyone he’s come across (including a Nightwing villain-Raptor), so I definitely expect him to be at least an even match with Nightwing.

That being said, Dick should definitely have an advantage when it comes to overall experience (in addition to speed/agility, maybe general physicals). When it comes to debates, he also has the advantage of significantly more feats, making his abilities much more well established (Connor’s gotten a lot of hype in his re-introduction, but it’s always possible that the hype won’t be consistent)

Regardless of who wins, I think it would be an excellent fight
