Not familiar with a lot of characters on this tier, but I don't see him passing IG Thanos at the very least

If this is Genis Vell when he went insane during the Mad God Saga where he actually let lose then he clears this gauntlet with heavy-difficulty. If it’s in his redemption-controlled Photon period then he stops around 5. He pulled too many punches and actually cared about casualties. Something that no one 6-10 would worry about.

Shouldn't cyttorak be higher than he is; seeing as how eternity couldn't do anything to juggs (if I remember correctly) ?

What? Eternity >>> Cyttorak. It’s not close so if this actually did happen then it’s heavily plot involved or just plain bad writing

@supermanwithatan01: that's why I said I think. I'm not entirely sure but I think it was eternity?

I'll see if I can find it in the meantime...

Oh I gotcha. Thanks let me know if you find anything.

@supermanwithatan01: He confused Oblivion with Eternity. Also btw Juggernaut with some of Cyttorak's magic was able to stalemate Nightmare in his own dimension who had the powers of Eternity(at least some of it). And Oblivion later bargained those magics from Juggernat. Take this as you will.

Nightmare had a fraction of Eternity’s power because he convinced him to sleep. While that’s impressive, Eternity would solo everyone of the characters you just mentioned combined.

So Shuma is going to withstand a kill shot that worked on a being that’s much more powerful?

My personal opinion:

  1. Odin (Destroyer Armor) - Genis 1-shots
  2. Imperiex - Genis 1-shots
  3. Galactus (Well Fed) - Genis 1-shots
  4. Cyttorak - Genis 1-shots
  5. Adult Franklin Richards - Genis wins (also should be above Shuma Gorath)
  6. Shuma-Gorath - Genis 1-shots
  7. Nabu - Genis wins
  8. Thanos w/ IG - Genis wins
  9. Mad Jim Jaspers - Genis wins
  10. Hecate - Genis can win, but it’s basically a 50/50

Which being? Shuma is not the most consistent, so you might be right.

Shuma is a beast but Genis Vell bound and “crushed” Eternity. It is noted that he had help from Entropy to bind Eternity; and he did surmise that Eternity wanted to die. However, providing sufficient force (under his own power) to kill a being that is consistently shown as the number 2 in marvel’s cosmic hierarchy should clearly illustrate that he could kill any character on this gauntlet.

Wait since when is Eternity the number 2 in all of Marvel? And i definitively don't see Genis making it past Hecate.

Actually, pretty consistently shown as being 2nd to the Living Tribunal:

Also, in general being shown as a an equal or a peer:

And i definitively don't see Genis making it past Hecate.

That's pretty fair. Hecate actually does not have many "battle feats" to work in her favor. I've gone over how its basically 50/50 in this thread: The Mad God (Insane) Genis Vell vs Hecate (DC).

At the very least, I believe they're on equal footing in terms of defeating each other. Hecate is probably the more powerful character, even if only slightly, but Genis has the better feats and has also killed a being (Eternity) that is easily in or above her weight class. He could just as easily kill her as she could him. Hence the 50/50 for me.

I think Thanos’ best chance is the soul gem and playing on Vell’s insanity. Otherwise, they have nearly the same feats on the same level of power.

What has Hecate herself done that leads you to believe he’d “hard-stop” at her while getting bodied? I could see arguments for her winning but nothing that seems like she’s stomping him. Not by a long shot.

@supermanwithatan01: With Thanos, hes 2nd only to LT while at original levels, being able to lolstomp Eternity, whereas Genis required help to kill Eternity.

With Hecate, its mostly hype. IMO, Destroying the Sphere of Gods (To include the Silver City) is more impressive than anything Genis has done.

Genis didn’t require any help to kill Eternity. Idk where that nonsense started but it’s been dispelled many times. I can provide evidence if needed.

The sphere of the gods is just a place that links to the DC multiverse. It houses gods from different pantheons but it’s more of a realm. Genis killed a being that encompasses literally all of creation. I’d say the latter is more impressive personally, but to each his/her own.

Merged, or composite, Genis-Vell clears.

At one point he decided to merge with his future self and stated that ”infinite power is a mere stepping stone” for him now, and later that there is literally nothing he’s unable to do and no enemy could stop to him. Given his cosmic awareness, he would know better than anyone. Eventually he realizes this merging makes him too OP’d and that his future self has vengeance in his heart, so he simply kills him at a cellular level. The point being that without his morals (Rick) keeping him in check, he’s damn near unstoppable for everyone on this gauntlet.

Could stop at 6. Definitely stops at 8 unless this isn't Starlin's gauntlet where only one exists in the multiverse. If this is Starlin's IG, 8 should be above 9. He beats MJJ imo.
