Iron Man
Defenders
- Random encounter
- Basic knowledge
- Purely a H2H fight, no weapons or flight
- Chi allowed
- Takes place where Cap, Widow and Falcon fought Corvus and Proxima
- Morals off
- Win by KO or Death
Luke is comparable if not greater in durability,
Danny (with the fist) is comparable if not greater in strength, also much more skilled
Jessica is comparable in strength
Matt is much more skilled
They compliment each other very well and should be able to do what Cap did.
Matt and Danny can dance around him while Luke, Jessica and Danny (with the fist) beat him up.

I can’t post videos or GIFs so bear with me. I may go back and edit this post after this problem is fixed.
Anyway, Tony can definitely hurt any of the defenders here, and I feel like he could beat all of them at the same time even with F.R.I.D.A.Y.
First, he is able to knock down and stun Giant Man with a punch. This is impressive because Giant Man isn’t moved or phased by Warmachines artillery. His artillery in the same movie is capable of shredding apart a steel jet bridge in seconds.
Scott also was still standing from a full body hit from Vision. Vision could split a bus in half while standing still.
Technically, Tony didn’t knock down Scott alone, since he had help from Warmachine and Spider-Mans webs, but Warmachine was barely able to affect Scott by hitting him directly in the back of the knee while Scott’s legs were webbed up, while he used a heavy metal object to hit him.
Warmachine also wasn’t able to move Cap while he was blocking with his shield, while using a melee weapon. Tony on the other hand was able to send Cap flying several feet back while Cap was blocking with the shield.
This is clear proof that both Warmachine and Peters webs wouldn’t have added much to help knock down Giant Man. Tony would’ve needed to do most of the work. He can clearly KO Luke, and probably one shot everyone else.
Tony in this suit is also durable enough to tank repeated shield throws and bashes from both Bucky and Cap. Cap was able to casually pierce the body of a quinjet with single shield tosses and bashes. These quinjets can no sell AA rounds, chituari blasts, and Ultron bot blasts. Mind you, Caps fight with Tony was the closest we would get to a bloodlusted Cap, and Cap could only get past the armor after several shield blows. Remember, Cap could only got through the armor due to the sharp edges of the shield. No one on the Defenders has a sharp object, so they aren’t getting through that armor, and the blunt force of the attacks wouldn’t harm Tony in any significant way.
Tony taking damage from a falling car was an obvious outlier, since both Cap and Bucky can hit much harder than a speeding car, never mind a falling one. He’s clearly durable enough to take damage from the Defenders.
Tony is also fast enough to avoid hits from them, as he was able to casualty dodge and react to arrows that were shot by Hawkeye, who almost never misses. In the MK 3 (an inferior suit) he could casually side step a tank shell. So, due to these reasons, Tony would win.
Under these conditions, with these restrictions on Iron Man, I don’t see why the defenders can’t win comfortably

Iron man gets rid of Danny, Matt, and Jessica quick. It comes down to Luke vs Tony, and all Tony has to do is analyze his fight pattern, and he wins.
Tony stomps harder than Cap would. Make it Mark 42 Iron Man or a challenge to see if Defenders can survive x amount of time, and they might have a shot here.
@xverify___: not just beat, he stomps.
@xverify___: How are either of them tagging him?
Danny is just as fast as Cap in combat and more skilled, but it will take Luke awhile to tag him. Cap would think Danny is just a normal human so he will hold back, Danny will keep his distance and not use his chi at the start he will try to get cap to throw the shield, He's fast and agile to dodge the shield or he can use his chi to catch it, When cap loses the shield he will have no defense against Danny's chi
@xverify___: how is Danny as fast as him? Danny's slower than Cap, and Luke only landed hits on him because he could no sell his regular hits, won't work against Cap.
@kryptonianking88: Cap consistently gets tagged by fodder, so Danny can tag him and Luke no sold Danny's Chi so he can tank caps hits for a while.
@kryptonianking88: Cap consistently gets tagged by fodder,
Like when?
so Danny can tag him and Luke no sold Danny's Chi so he can tank caps hits for a while.
Cap's striking > Danny's Chi

Cap's striking > Danny's Chi
1.He got tagged by Batroc, Crossbones, random Hydra agents and Chitauri, He even got tagged by a random shield agent in Avengers 1

Batroc's peak human, got the jump on Cap, and Cap was holding back. Same goes for Crossbones.
idk when the Hydra agents happen
Chitauri are superhuman + Cap was fighting multiple at once.
gonna need a link on the last one
Only 2 of these are actually valid as anti feats, Cap more consistently keeps up with superhumans than gets tagged by fodder.
It looks cool and all, but Cap strikes harder than War Machine, and War Machine hits harder than this.

1. He was holding back at first against batroc but at the end of fight he got serious.
2. He gets tagged by Hydra agents in TWS
3. Iron fist also consistently keeps up with super humans and blitzes fodder
4. How does war machine hit harder? and how does cap hit harder than him?
Danny Almost KO'd Luke Cage while holding back, and you say Cap hits harder, so can Cap nearly KO Luke Cage with 1 punch?
if you wanna stupidly claim the Cap can send Luke flying with a punch and level rooms than go ahead
He was still able to trade blows with cap
He got the jump on Cap and got him off balance and still only landed 2-3 blows. Once Cap gets his footing, he pretty easily handles him.
It Happens in TWS elevator scene
It's a cramped elevator. Unless you're a speedster, you're getting tagged in there.
Thats not consistent Batroc, Crossbones, and even hydra agents tanked his hits
He's holding back against them. Speaking of consistency, you didn't address how Cap more often keeps up with superhumans than humans.
Let's stop now, we're derailing the thread.
It's still OT, Cap directly scales to CW IM. If team can beat him (they can't), they have a shot against Tony.

Hes fought in combat at blur speeds before.
He's definitely fast enough to keep up
