@Hero1: no the strength diff is to big if the centaur gets close the minotaur rips his limbs off i think centaurs usually use bow and arrows or ranged weapons in fights anyway

But the Centaurs are known to be guards on Mount Olympus. Which means it has fighting experience. And it's lower body is animal. The Minotaurs head is bull, and the rest of his body is human. Which means the Centaur's primary move is a charge. Which will be very effective. And will eventually where down the Minotaur.

i thought we were talking about a minotaur like this cause they would kill a centaur

Yeah we are. That was my description. The head of a Minotaur is bull, and the rest of his body is human. Expect were not fighting will weapons. Just bare knuckles...
Unarmed is a tough call, I think centaurs may be a bit underrated here, though. I think if they just go for a spin and kick with hind-legs manuever intelligently, they should be able to do some serious damage. The minotaur horns are a problem, but they have to get their head into danger zones to use the horns, which limits their ability for use without taking damage to eyes, face, etc. I'd give edge to centaur for speed, range attacks even unarmed.
depends, let´s say the centaur has a bow, minotaur charges at him, i say it comes down how durable the minotaur is, once the minotaur goes in close combat it´s over for the centaur
Nessus was kind of a badass. Apparently had up to two ton strength, enhanced speed, went toe to toe with Hercules back in the day. Got his butt kicked but still, that was Herc. This guy could probably give a mino some trouble.
because the one with bull legs can run on all four not as fast as the centaur of course but way longer as both bulls and humans rely heavily on stamina and is also stronger than an horse while the one with human leg is just strong human with a thick skull which means there is no chance it could beat a centaur hand to hand or in this case hand to hooves.
As for the more bull like more modern take on the minotaur, obviously it would beat a modern centaur and not only hand to hand, with a melee weapon, it would crush the centaur easily while being protected by its thick skull and horns (yeah if you want to kill a minotaur better to have access to the pectoral, abdominal and neck area, better to be small), the only chance the centaur could have would be to charge at the minotaur before it does to make it fall and then kill it with a spear while it is on the ground.. it would require a lot of skill, luck, confidence and very good ambush because for it to works the minotaur shouldn't be left any time to react..
as for a ranged weapon well I suppose the minotaur would be more likely to throw it away and charge at the armed centaur at full speed on all fours, I doubt the centaur would have time to do real damage unless if using some Divine or modern weapons..

how is the rest of the body human it has hooves .. anyway centaur can just jump up and land on the minotaur with his whole body the centaur should weigh good deal more break the minotaurs spine by jumping on him
@hoboswagginssidekick: @mjoern: imagine a bow made for minotaurs. Because of their size and strength, the draw weight could be considerably higher and the arrows would be larger. It would be basically shooting shortspears with the force of a gun, lol. Our little Bull-Boyz would have to work on their lack of Dex but it would be awesome
@hoboswagginssidekick: mmh i like my minotaurs better with bull eyes on the side of their head, bulls sees several frames at the same time, that allows them to be very good at seeing trajectories.. Also they have a very wide range of sight but dont see very well nor very far..
These eyes would completely prevent them from using ranged weapons
