Toriko: Child of the Prophecy
A series that is loved by many and has not seen much light on debating boards in recent years but still relevant in power and will most likely continue to be for quite some time. A world dominated by the procurement of the world's greatest foods and drink. Naturally this will include those that choose to hunt and gather food not only to eat, but also make a living off. These sorts of warriors are known as Gourmet Hunters and standing atop the hierarchy of power among the hunters are the Four Heavenly Kings. Amongst the group is Toriko of which the series is named after and the iconic character being represented by me. A character that has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, I will hopefully be proving to all of you as to why he has Piccolo beat in all aspects of battle. Before I begin, I want to wish my opponent good luck, and without further ado, let's begin:
Setting the Stage Part 1: The World of Toriko
Toriko (the series) has many feats on panel + supporting statements that would make Toriko quite a troubling opponent but it gets even better when looking at how big the size of the Toriko planet is. In a few words, it's quite massive and I'll explain why. From the beginning of the series, we've been introduced to large landscapes and new areas that have a definitive size such as the Northern Wool continent which is the third largest continent in the human world and is still double the size of Eurasia. Area 7 which has a surface area of 840 million kilometers which is larger than the earth and is known as the second largest continent of the gourmet world.
The 3rd largest continent of the gourmet world is Area 6 which is not only inside a giant shellfish, but also noted to be larger than the entire United States. Now it should be mentioned that the world of Toriko is split into two parts: the human world and the gourmet world. Despite the human world being large enough as it is with their continents being massive, it's nothing compared to the gourmet world with it only making up 30% of the planet. Over time (time being millions of years in this context) the planet was struck by a certain mineral that absorbed the energy of the planet and over time, it grew to the point where the world itself grew exponentially.
I would like to point out that in the scans above, the material drains the energy from Coco just by touching it making the feats busting the entire planet even more noteworthy. During the time where they fought with Bambina of the 8 Kings, it was stated that the circumference of the planet was 220,000 KM which is about 5x more than our earth and larger than all the planets except Jupiter and Saturn. This chart would show the sizes of each.
Setting the Stage Part 2: The Strength of Toriko
So for the strength of Toriko, I'll be focusing mainly on his feats when entering the gourmet world (obviously) given the caliber that Piccolo is on. Specifically his feats when going up against Acacia and how he was able to not only match him in power, but also at one point overpower him easily. To really show why this is impressive, I'll be going over Neo's feats against the following characters: Don Slime, Jirou, and the 8 Kings in that order and then continue with Toriko's power. Let's begin:

Your first instinct might be to look at the fact that Toriko sent Neo Acacia flying across the planet, doing major damage to it in the process. This is an incredible feat but what's more is being able to overpower Acacia given how strong and durable he is and this pretty much the bulk of where Toriko's strength comes from. To start off, Neo before being absorbed by Neo and eating GOD was already a durability monster when facing Don Slime who is capable of casually destroying large scale asteroids by jumping off of them. Neo was able to tank a barrage of asteroid that when the attack landed, were capable of causing large scale destruction which Neo was completely unfazed by but as Don Slime puts it, he's not just tanking the attacks or avoiding them, he's just eating them outright. Even more impressive than this however is when Neo straight up ate and was unfazed by the power of a supernova. I want to reiterate again that this isn't Neo in his true form or when he merges with Acacia.

Moving on, when confronted by the Jirou who was able to unseal his power and fight at 100%, Neo was completely unfazed by Jirou's barrage of punches and attacks which include his "million knocking." The impressive part is that Jirou is casually a large planetary level character going all the way back to the cooking festival arc when he was able to stop the rotation of the planet. Even Jirou was surprised that Neo was able to take no damage from his punch that carried enough power to stop the rotation of the planet and straight up eat it.

When confronted by the 8 Kings, despite all being characters operating within the star level range of power, they couldn't do much against Neo/Acacia. Quite the opposite as he was capable of overpowering them starting with Guinness who, with a single stomp of his foot, could bend the ground around them and send vibrations covering a large part of the planet. This didn't faze Acacia, he even retaliated by eating Guinness' entire foot. After this, he takes on both the Whale Moon King and the Deer King, he was able to escape both of their haxes right after the other.

There are two things to note here:
- Whale King's stomach has been described as a black hole that sucks everything and anything within it. The only way to escape it is to surpass the speed of light also proving that LS is a tier that has not only been achieved, but surpassed.
- The Sky Deer uses space-time manipulation via the back channel and can speed up 100 million years in just a few seconds.
And after eating GOD, Neo in his evolved form was able to make quick work of the 8 Kings starting with Bambina who was obliterated within a few seconds. Right after that he was pretty much able to one-shot both the Nightmare Heracles and the Crow.

All right, now that I've shown a bit of what Acacia is capable of, let's go back to Toriko. In the final battle, after Acacia consumed Neo, Toriko was able to deal more damage than pretty much all 8 Kings combined. Toriko's jet knife was not only capable of pushing Neo back, but cut off a part of the planet with him too.

Toriko was strong enough to gain the upper hand against Acacia and deal serious damage in the process showing not only how potent his attacks are, but how much destruction they cause. His attacks were all felt on a global scale .
Lastly, Toriko has 3 appetite demons lurking within his being. I won't go over them in too much detail but I would like to talk about the most powerful of the three; the White Oni. A demon so strong that Midora himself, an incredible powerful character and easily star level, describes feeling fear for the first time when confronted by it. This White Oni was able to give Toriko the power to completely one-shot Acacia for good.

Speed & Durability
I will be keeping this section brief and straightforward. Toriko is a tank and extremely hard to put down, he was able to endure fighting a member of the 8 Kings (The Wolf Guinness) and taking a lot of damage from Neo Acacia but not being put down. A depiction of this would be when Acacia rained down a bunch of attacks that are easily large planetary given the size and damage they do. And as explained by Midora, Toriko wasn't screaming in pain, he was yelling and preparing to use Food Luck (more on that later).

And even before that, Toriko was capable of surviving a barrage of punches from Acacia that dealt quite a bit of damage, but wasn't enough to put him down completely. In fact, the recovery time was short being a couple moments later.

For speed, it requires a bit of scaling I suppose. EoS Toriko was capable of keeping up with Neo Acacia and eventually surpass him in strength and speed, even treating him like a joke when deploying an attack and then doing it again right after. This puts EoS Toriko on the highest level of speed with the likes of Midora who EoS Toriko scales to. For how fast Midora is, here is a description from a former CaV of mine with him.
And lastly, being on the level of Neo Acacia would put one far above any of the 8 Kings which includes Bambina. I bring this up because during the Heavenly Kings stint with the Monkey King, the latter was capable of dodging multiple of coco's poison spears all of which move at the speed of light. Even though online it say's "nearly that speed," it's actually a mistranslation of the real thing.
All in all, Toriko is easily FTL+ at the very least and has a great argument for even higher which should be able to keep up with Piccolo in this fight.
Food Luck
Arguably the most potent hax in the series, it's going to be a major X-factor in this fight. Food Luck in a nutshell is a type of probability manipulation that grants the user good fortune with the "ingredients." One who wields food luck is able to repel attacks and make them miss. Toriko used it to avoid the barrage of planet crushing attacks used by Acacia as shown before.

Midora is also a user of food luck and also used it against Acacia to make his Gourmet Spank (a large planetary level attack) miss easily.
Conclusion
That should be a good way of introducing Toriko's skills and abilities with the rest of it being added in my later posts. The way I see it:
- Toriko should be just as fast as Piccolo, if not faster eliminating any chance for a blitz attack right out of the gate.
- Toriko's strength and durability is easily in the star level range at they very least and much higher with his White Oni making this a tough battle for Piccolo physically.
- As far as I know, Piccolo has no counter to Food Luck which will make Piccolo struggle to even land an attack properly.
