Son Goku, or Kakarot as his Saiyan name, is the son of Bardock and Gine (because apparently that piece of shit Minus is canon now). Goku was sent to Earth as one of the last of the Saiyans, saving him from the destruction of Planet Vegeta from the tyrant Freeza. However, while on Earth, Goku lost his memory, and thus losing his violent temper. He would then go on to become one of Earth's greatest protectors, guarding it from the likes of Freeza, Cell, and Majin Buu.
Until he endangered the universe in Super lol
To start off, I'll cover just the regular Super Saiyan
Goku's famous Super Saiyan form grants him a 50 x multiplier to all of his stats, as shown by the official Dragon Ball Daizenshuu.
Thus, that includes stuff such as his strength and speed.
With this ability at his side, Goku can easily erase beings from existence entirely, meaning that the other Things can easily get destroyed.
Goku's most powerful form, without a doubt. When pushed far enough, Goku pushes past his barriers and awakens Ultra Instinct! In this form, he has a massive boost to his powers, along with the power to attack and dodge without even thinking.
