I really wanted to rep these guys sometime and frankly, what's a better way to do so than taking on an Avatar? I mean, imo Aang is the most powerful bender we've seen in the series but not even he should be able to replicate this. People are seriously underestimating the numbers advantage in bending battles as well as the power elite benders have in teams. Anyway, let's get to it:

Kya

No Caption Provided

Daughter of Katara and sister to Tenzin / Bumi, Kya lived in the South Pole for most of her life. There, she's been training in the art of waterbending and healing with the renowned waterbender since childhood. She grew up to become one of the most well-known healers the world's ever seen. Throughout the years of Republic City's Crisis, when the Red Lotus escaped and when Unalaq was threatening to take over the planet, Kya faught alongside her family as a supportive member and a well-trained bender taking on some of the most powerful people in the world, including master waterbender Ming Hua and prodigious airbender Zaheer.

Waterbending

Trained by Katara heerself, Kya is a powerful waterbender showcasing massive skill and solid power in the art. Her style is also quite similar to that of Katara. Just like with her teammates, below, I'm going to cover Kya's sheer power as well as diversity inwaterbending.

Raw Power

Being a masterful waterbender, Kya demonstrated soldi amounts of scale and great amounts of potency with her waterbending. Below, we see that she can bend very large amounts of water:

Here, she essentially bends half a lake to create a water whip.
Here, she essentially bends half a lake to create a water whip.

The scene even tremples for an effect lol Anyway, to show you just how large this amount of water is, here's how pathetic the White Lotus guards Zaheer threw inside the lake look in comparison to the wave Kya bent:

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3
The wave is at least 20 times as big as one of their bodies.

Lastly, as far as power goes, Kya has great feats:

She can lanch away Dark Spirits with a single water pouch.

Sorry if it's not quite clear but here we see Kya stonewalling Ghazan's boulder. Notice that she doesn't just block it, but the boulder even shatters in conduct with her ice wall. This should be enough to assume that Aang's boulders cannot break through Kya's biggest ice walls without huge effort.

And this time, she sends Zhao flying and one shot KOes him. Guy might be a joke, but he's still a named character so I guess it's notable.

Saved the best one for last:

No Caption Provided

This is the clearest fight of raw power vs raw power in a waterbending battle we've seen in the series and it's quite clear that Kya got overpwoered, however, she still held off Ming Hua quite well and for several seconds, something other benders have also failed to do so. Particularly, the powerful firebender Mako got destroyed everytime he tried to fight Ming Hua head on:

Turns his fire into smoke.
Turns his fire into smoke.
Ignores his fire.
Ignores his fire.

Ming Hua has also done things only Katara has replicated before, like destroying steel chains with sheer waterbending force:

No Caption Provided

But more importantly, she has replicated stuff like drilling several feet through the freaking ground:

THE GROUND.
THE GROUND.

Honestly, as fasr as power goes in waterbending, only feat that can match/exceed this is Katara's ship feat in the Awakenning. At last, this is the person Kya managed to phase with her own raw power so that's pretty impressive overall.

Versatality

Kya demonstrated a wide variety of abilities in her skillset, using plenty of high level techniques with great showings of control particularly in her confortation with Zaheer in Air Temple Island.

Kya ca use ice spikes too. Yes, Zaheer blocked and dodged most of those with his staff something Aang can certainly replicate, but let's not forget that Kya has 2/3 other people (depending on how you count the twins) to help her here.

Kya was proficient in the use of water arms capable of forming them on the spot, using them to climb out of a window, grab Zaheer and slam him on the ground. Also a good agility showing as a someassult.

She specialised in the use of water rings if you haven't noticed already. This offers both great defence and offence at the same time. She used a hydro-canon here to take down Zaheer. Sure she failed, but it was the only potion she currently had, otherwise he would have escaped. And this ia a damn big attack either way. Aang might get hit by this in the process of trying to defend against 3 sides. It's certainly gonna hurt.

Apart from all that though, Kya has shown more than fine control over the element of water in general:

She was the first and only person capable of actually breaking Ming Hua's control in her own water arms and bending them on her own. She also incorporates the elemental philosofy of redirection here.

Speed, Agility & Durability

Kya does have good physical stats, good speed, great durability and above average agility.

Speed
While Kya is not exceptionally fast, she isn't slow either.
No Caption Provided

She was capable of holding her own, dodging and trading blows with Zaheer and Ming Hua, both incredibly fast benders and fighters, almost as fast as Aang.

No Caption Provided

She was also capable of dealing with Dark Spirits that for the record are just as fast as Aang:

No Caption Provided

Conclusively, Kya should be fast enough to handle Aang. It's also worth noting that she managed to tag Ming Hua, who is almost if not just as agile and acrobatic as Aang.

Agility

Again, she is not Ty Lee but she is something. She was capable of evading plenty of attacks from Ming Hua, whose both rate of fire and attack speed is great:

No Caption Provided

Most of the feats she has were already posted in either the speed or the bending section. Other than that, she can use waterbending to propel herself like she did against Zaheer, which is soemthing.

Durability

Kya was a suprisingly durable person. She took plenty of hits from Ming Hua, and I believe I made Ming Hua's power quite clear already:

Eats an ice projectile right in the face and quickly recovers.

Gtes sent flying through a balcony, through a room, and on the other side of the building to quikcly get back up.

And after all of those absurd hits:

Desna & Eska

No Caption Provided

Desna and Eska are the cousins of Avatar Korra and the twin chiefs of the North Pole inheriting the throne after their father, Unalaq's, death. After Korra threatened to fight the North under Tonraq's leadership during the Civil War of the Water Tribes, the twins were sent after her for assasination. Desna and Eska participated in the battle against the Dark Spirits in the Spirit World during Harmonic Convergeance alongside Tenzin's family, Mako and Bolin. Just a year later, they tried to prevent the Red Lotus from breaking the Combustionbender P'Li out of her prison but where quickly defeated by psychic bender Ming Hua. Despite that, they demonstrated master-level waterbending on multiple occasions.

Waterbending

Desna and Eska are a force to be reckoned with individually, but together, they possess great power enough to phase and match even the most powerful benders in the bending world. In this section, I'm going to cover their power and skill in the art.

Raw Power

The twins specialise in the use of immense and powerful icebending as well as huge scaled tidal waves. Their raw power is enough to at least phase Aang alone while their scale will work like a charm against his high speed mobility.

Perhaps their best raw power feat.
Perhaps their best raw power feat.

Above, we see Desna and Eska bending an insanely huge ice spikes field against Ming Hua. This scale is something you shouldn't laugh at. It's plain huge as we can clearly see here:

About 100 ft. long and more than 20 ft. tall.
About 100 ft. long and more than 20 ft. tall.

However, Desna and Eska are not just about scale as the force behind their attacks is quite damn big as well being able to effortlessly send people like Korra, Mako and Bolin flying:

No Caption Provided

And they've replicated such showings consistently. A single one of their attacks was enough to launch Tonraq back more than once::

Unalaq trusted them to open the Spirit Portal using waterbending so that should tell you as much about their power.

Lastly, their water whips were capable of demolishing Dark Spirits.
Lastly, their water whips were capable of demolishing Dark Spirits.

Versatality

The twins were capable of high-level waterbending as well as deadly projectile spam. Their skillset involves some good amounts of mobility as well as solid diversity:

Here, we see 2 attacks performed from different sides of the forest. One of them was performed by Unalaq, the other one by the twins. Either way, this is solid spammability that shouldn't be discounted against a fighter like Aang, who while a better earthbender than Bolin, should still struggle to keep up with such an amount of ice spikes that can destroy steel.

Again, don't let me start with the power behind even a single one of these ice projectiles. Porbably the most important part here though, similar to the move above, is the attack and draw speed behind this move. They throw more than 15 tiny ice projectiles in less than a second.

Lastly, while kind of irrelevant with combat (at least in this location), Eska was to a deegree a psychic waterbender too being able to create/melt and generally control ice without the slightest of motion:

Speed & Agility

This section is to cover the physical abilities the twins possess, particularly their reaction/combat speed as well as their acrobatic abilities. While they are not as good as Aang, they are certainly good enough to keep up and win along with 2 other capable fighters as teammates.

Speed

No Caption Provided

Desna and Eska are quite fast, being able to evenly trade blows with Korra for a period of time. Overall combat speed-wise, Korra might not be as fast as Aang but as fasr as reaction speed goes, she has reacted to explosions and spirit lasers consistently and they were even capable of landing a hit on her while on a water spout.

Also worth noting that like Kya, they could keep up with the isnanely fast Dark Spirits.

Agility

Desna and Eska were quite nible and acrobatic in combat and whatsnot. They are great in evading both large and small scale attacks. For most of the part, Aang will struggle to keep up with 3/4 different people like that:

Jump 10 ft. up in the air to dodge Korra's water whips.

Evade Tonraq's ice wall attack perfectly in-sync.

Quickly recover from Bolin's earth pillars by catwheeling away. This is helpful against Aang's environmental earthbending.

Hama

No Caption Provided

Hama was born in the South Pole during the Hundred Year War with the Fire Nation, growing up to become a trained waterbender and defend her tribe from the Fire Nation's attacks alongside her brothers and sisters. After everyone else failed, Hama was the last one standing but was eventually captured as well. During her time in prison, Hama was helpless as a waterbender without water until one time, under the Full Moon, she felt the power flow inside her veins and thought about how all living organisms are just skins filled with liquids. There was water somewhere. Inside the bodies of humans, animals and plants. Under every Full Moon, she was perfecting the technique controling the bodies of rats using a technique she invented herself, bloodbending. That is how she escaped prison and went on to live in a small village in the Fire Nation as a simple Inn-keeper, having however as an aim of her life to avenge everyone there for the crimes against her tribe. Hama grew up to become an old waterbending master, teaching Katara the secrets of bloodbending, plantbending and recoursefulness.

Waterbending

Hama suffers extremely much from lack of showings, but the oens she has are certainly great. In theory, Hama could very easily be a top tier waterbender, we've never really seen her going all out with a proper water source. For the sake of this fight, she has Full Moon feats too though.

Raw Power

Hama's raw power was fairly solid both scale and power-wise. Let's take a look at a feat below:

No Caption Provided

This hydro pump is impressive for several reasons:

  • It was performed very quickly
  • It had insanely huge scale, more than
About 25-30 ft. tall and roughly more than 50 ft. wide.
About 25-30 ft. tall and roughly more than 50 ft. wide.
  • Hama being surprised that a waterbending master like Katara was capable of deflecting the attack should tell you as much about its power.

Other than that, Hama was also capable of other great raw power feats:

Along with the help of some fodder, a more inexperienced young Hama was capable of lifting an entire Southern Raiders ship and encasing it on ice.

Here, Hama creates a water shield that blocks one of Katara's water blasts head on.

I'd like to remind everyone that Katara has the single best raw pwoer feat in the verse as far as waterbending goes, slapping an entire warship more than 1000 ft. away:

No Caption Provided

Hama defended against this kind of potency in waterbending.

Versatality

Hama has more than raw power though. One of her best assets is her recoursefullness, leading to great versatlity. She has mastered many styles of waterbending and later taught Katara about them. She can draw water from plants or even the air itself:

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2
Creating ice claws that can pierce wood.

But she can go even further and create ice spikes that can slice natural rock:

This is more impressive than many things we've seen as natural rock formation are actually much stronger and more durable than say, earthbending. This is well established in encounters with Combustion Benders where the Gaang or the Beifongs hid behind cliffs or rocks that pre-existed there in order to defend against CM and P'Li. Similarly, Aang used the pre-xisting pillars in his fight with Ozai to defend against comet amped lightning.

This can also be used as a great AoE attack. Hama can spread the water she draws from a source into multiple different directions. Add in Hama's teammates, and Aang will be hard-pressed to keep up and not get frozen any minute.

Lastly, as the inventor of bloodbending, Hama demands respect:

She could bloodbend multiple people at once too.
She could bloodbend multiple people at once too.

Speed

Honestly, not too much to say here. Hama is bolderline featless compared to Aang, but I'm just preventing a notion that Aang can blitz her. She is perfectly capable of keeping up:

Even when past her physical prime, Hama was trading blows with Katara just fine.
Even when past her physical prime, Hama was trading blows with Katara just fine.

And Katara is more than comparable to Aang in speed. She can match the likes of Zuko, Azula and Toph in speed and on every account.

That's also a good reaction feat, she slices the net thrown right above her head.
That's also a good reaction feat, she slices the net thrown right above her head.

I know that Hama failed to react to Katara's encironmental attack in their fight but I think it was made clear that she failed to do so because she was worried, scared and surprised atm.

Conclusion

Aang is capable of taking down any member of my team without huge trouble 1 on 1, but all together? Aang is going to die in their hands. The Avatar is going to struggle to keep up with the spammability and fire rate my team posseses. All of the waterbenders here are more than capable of holding their own against Aang in a mini-confortation so even bloodlusted, Aang cannot take out any of them fast enough to beat the others. Hama and the twisn have huge scale, Kya offers great diversity and has good mobility while everyone in my team can match or exceed all of Aang's elements bar airbending as fasr as power goes. Kya also has experience fighting bloodlusted airbenders so that helps. Needless to say, my team won't underestimate Aang. They'll go all out. Eventually he will get either beat up or flash frozen and the elite waterbenders will be victorious.

Avatar Aang
Avatar Aang

Sorry for the short opener (I did not gather as much scans as I made this before you logged in again and did not want to waste time getting scans in case you never came back , I will cover in-depth counters and show scans in my next post.)

Bio:

Aang is a 113 year old boy, master of all four elements. He along with his small group of friends changed the face of the fire nation war and ended it within a year, he prefers peace and is the founding father of Rebublic City but he is not afraid of a fight and in this fight will do anything even kill to win (morals off).

Powers & Abilities:

  • Waterbending.
  • Earthbening.
  • Seismic sense.
  • Airbending.
  • Firebending.
  • Energybending.
  • Staff fighting.
  • Gliding.
  • H2H combat.
  • Superhuman stats (with the ability to amp himself further with earth and air).

Advatages:

Speed. While your scans are inpressive the pale in comparison to Aang as individuals. Kya while quick, is only showing reaction feats in your scans and can only react to him, you also claim people like Zaheer and Ming Hua are as quick as Aang, yet I see no evidence of that.

Skill. Aang has trained with the greatest waterbenders in the Avatar universe (shown), both Paku and Katara are as skilled and in the case of Katara even more skilled than anyone in your team of benders, Aang not only has trained with them but is shown to be able to keep up with their skill. He also trained under the most skilled earthbender (for her age) and kept up with the most powerful (Bumi) at a young age, trained under dragons and Fird Lord Zuko, is the greatest airbender in the show and using only h2h combat can stomp with fire nation bullies.

Versatility. Aang can use all four elements and is faster than anybody here, which means using his seismic sense plus hyper sensitivity he can dodge, counter psuedo predict any attack coming his way. For example, using earth he can ensnare his opponents in close range and create armor for himslef, using water he can counter and manipulate any attack thrown at him, using fire he can negate AoE water waves and ice shards plus push the offensive which Hama has not shown to be able to counter and with his aor he can create air scooters to dodge attacks, amp himself, glide and knock his enemies back aith the force of a catapult. Not to mention he can take away your bending once he catches you.

No need for allies. As you said Aang can (easily) beat anyone here 1v1 but you claim together they kill Aang, however these girls (and guy) have no experience fighting as a team and will all act on inctinct, as I will show this gives Aang the perfect opportunity to use his glider and speed to pick off his enemies and take away their bending one at a time (you say Aang is not that quick but in the next post I will show how Aang is holding back against people most of the time and can dispatch low mid tier benders in seconds 1v1, I mean we only see him bloodlusted out of the AS when he want to ends fights fast, like when he one shot Zuko in the island).

Bloodlust. Like I mentioned above Aang's feats are usually him holding back but with bloodlust there is none of that and I have access to all of his feats from the show and I can use any tactic that will grant him victory, whereas Hama has no moals, the twins aphave very little and Kya was never shown to be morals off.
