CAV OF THE MONTH!! (nominations)

We have already the battle of the week. I propose something similar but between two debaters and it will be finished within a month. There'll be a voting thread where viners nominate themselves for the CotM. It's like a CAV but the nominated viners, that are most (First and second highest voting percentage) voted for, are going to debate. Everybody can nominate himself if he isn't busy and has time to finish a CAV within a month. I'll even create the thread and put the names of those who want to debate on a voting list and so other viners can vote within a period of time (maybe a week).

Rules:

1. CotM will be finished in a month, if there were some delays, the deadline will be eventually extended.
2. As a nominee, you may just have to mention the characters you can use in a CAV and the more characters the better. (For example “I’d like to debate with Batman”)
3. If one of those two debaters doesn't have a character suitable (because he thinks the other debater's character is less/more powerful), the third most voted debater can take his place.
4. You should have time to debate otherwise don’t comment, please!
5. This month’s tier will be mid-street level i.e. Batman, Daredevil or Deadpool. So you only choose characters from this power-level/category.
6. Only comic characters are allowed.

No, you say ''I want to participate, debate bla bla etc..'' So I know that you want to be put on the voting list and you also list the mid-street levlers (doesn't matter if you used them or not before) you could debate with and I'll see if they match the power-level of a mid-street level character, it's fine, if they didn't, I'll inform you till you have one (or several) character to debate with.

Sorry, man. Bat beyond, Blood Shot and Old Man Logan aren't allowed, they all can beat the characters I mentioned as examples (Batman etc.). They're also a bit higher on the food chain > high-street. It wouldn't be fair for the other debaters but Gambit, Deadpool and Black Canary are qualified.

I have a few mid street people I could rep, but I haven't begun building scan libraries for either of them yet. Currently reading through a third, but that's gonna be a while before I can rep him

exactly... its not a game breaking thing, and its not at all unfair. OML would be pushing it (and recently hes gotten some pretty legit feats) as i recall he recently took attacks from Magma (i think i need to go back and reread it)

but i mean everyone has that one character they overwank (i used to overwank Gambit pretty hard until i did some research. took a few beatings from God_Spawn to realize it though) it eventually passes with more knowledge and time

thats actually why i support this monthly CaV thing. It provides perfect examples for people to pick characters they want to learn more about and see them in debate. If this is done properly (by both sides and it keeps the momentum) this could be beneficial for all of the vine

MLJ Black Hood (archie comics Punisher style character) and Jackaroo.

I figued it was unlikely the CAV would be a gun battle (which Hood would beat most especially with his weapons ans his deadly attitude) and while Jackaroo is a bloody cool character he accomplishes what he does thru sheer unrelenting nature and damage soak (he literally wears down apponents beating on him by taking it then finishing them off)

@beatboks1: You're right and Gambit once hurt Moonstone... but you gotta look at consistency levels.

Danny consistently operates at a much higher level than the others you mentioned (i dont know too much about Justice though)

i would personally like to see you use Cheshire im probably gonna nominate you just because there needs to be a CaV done with her

@beatboks1: Well that's where the x/10 comes from I guess. When a certain character can score a minority over another character of slightly higher tier.

@warlockmage: justice os a decent h2h combatant who produces an enegy "sword/blast" from one hand and a shield from the other. He draws on his chi to do so. In Marvel NU he never faced more than fodder. He did in Ultimates and the New Universal mini etc but was also massively upgraded then to more like low mid meta.

Yeah cheshire is a damn underused and fun character. Shes been crapped on since JLA. Once upon a time she was a team buster who could take on the likes of upper level powers courtesy of prep/preparedness. She literally prepped for the Teen Titans only because she took a contract in NY. Also prepped for Arrow and Canary in Star city and for Booster in Metropolis (she had underlings create a threat on the other side of the planet that "was a job for Superman" so he was out of the pic)
