Two of anime's most popular old-timers go at it. Both characters will have composite anime and manga feats. For Roshi this includes only feats from Dragon Ball and this does include "filler" however it does not include the infamous moon feat. Whoever I went up against with Roshi I wanted that feat excluded because it's a horrendous outlier. The fight will take place on Cell's Cell Games arena and to win one fighter will have to kill, KO, or force the other to submit. They will be willing to use whatever means necessary to win.

I'm excited for this debate and I'll let my opponent go first.

@ig-88: Can you also say composite Genkai in the OP

@ig-88: Well I meant composite within the Yu Yu Hakusho story. Anime and manga feats is fine, but can you also specify composite Genkai just so people aren't confused.

GENKAI

STRENGTH

Genkai is a master of Reiki, the ability to shroud one's body in spiritual energy and manipulate said energy to gain several abilities. Genkai applies her Reiki in several different ways, one of which is to boost her physical striking strength.

While Genkai usually starts fight off with her Reiki in use, for scaling purposes, I will provide strength feats for Genkai when she does not have her Reiki activated first.

WITHOUT REIKI

Without Reiki, Genkai is quite literally capable of delivering bone shattering attacks.

GIF 1: Genkai kicks her opponent a great distance into the air before shattering his spine with one punch.

GIF 2: Genkai kicks her opponent so hard that he is sent spinning backward before clocking him in the face so hard his metal mask shatters.

Even without her Reiki, Genkai is an opponent not to be underestimated by Roshi.

WITH REIKI

Now, with Reiki, Genkai is a striking strength monster, but in order to get this sentiment across, there are a few things we must establish. For one, Genkai is a more powerful Reiki user than Yusuke for a majority of the Dark Tournament Arc. This is proven by the fact that Genkai's Spirit Gun, where one channels all of their Reiki into their finger and releases it, is more powerful than Yusuke's. It is also heavily implied throughout the Dark Tournament Arc that Genkai is stronger than Yusuke (bare in mind this is all prior to Genkai transferring her power to Yusuke). Now Reiki boost the physical stats of the user, so since Genkai has a stronger Reiki than Yusuke, their physical stats, up to the point where Genkai transfers her power to Yusuke, are comparable.

With that out of the way, prior to gaining Genkai's power boost, Yusuke could strike hard enough to break through armor harder than diamond.

Thus, through scaling, Genkai should be capable of doing the same.

To my knowledge, this feat far outclasses any striking strength feat Roshi has displayed in the Dragon Ball series.

SPEED

One of Genkai's biggest assets in this fight is her speed.

Genkai's best speed feat is when she held her own against Toguro. Toguro was at 80 percent of his power at the time, and Genkai was able to dodge an attack from him.

This is impressive because 60 percent Toguro was casually moving at fully body FTE speeds to Yusuke (pre training with Genkai).

Keep in mind, Yusuke can react to two bolts of lightning at BoS.

This puts Genkai at MHS + in terms of combat speed as she is clearly significantly faster than Yusuke.

What further proves that Genkai is faster than Yusuke is the fact that she has more Reiki. Again Reiki increases one's physical stats, such as speed. Since Genkai has more Reiki than Yusuke, she definitely has better speed.

DURABILITY

As already established, since Genkai has more Reiki than Yusuke, Genkai also has better physical stats, such as durability. I mean Reiki literally shrouds one's body in aura, so this is the most obvious category that Genkai excels in.

I will leave this section short as I don't see Roshi being able to tag Genkai too many times, but on the off chance he does, it shouldn't really make too much of a difference.

Yusuke can tank a blow from Toguro.

At a lower percentage of power, Toguro can literally poke off people's heads.

Until further notice, I think it is safe to conclude that Genkai can tank anything Roshi dishes out.

CONCLUSION

Now I know I haven't covered the full extent of Genkai's abilities, but until I see Master Roshi even has the physicals to match Genkai, I won't bring up Genkai's martial art prowess and energy projection. Overall, Genkai is just too fast and strong for Roshi, even without these factors. She is easily MHS + with strength that can break through harder than diamond substances. That is insane speed and striking power, and when you combine the two, I just don't see Roshi being able to holds his own.

The Immortal Master

Roshi has lived over 300 years whereas Genkai lived a fairly typical human lifespan. In those centuries of living he's become so ludicrously skilled that he's known as the god of martial arts and the invincible master. Even the skills of a 30th level black belt (in the real world 10th level is usually the highest level reserved for grand masters) were absolutely nothing to him. That black belt also happened to be a werewolf who trained by punching trees down, something Roshi actually hasn't shown the striking strength to do. Genkai's physical advantages won't help her against a skill gap this huge.

Should Roshi's fists fail him he has other unorthodox ways of winning a fight. He has the iconic and simple kamehameha for when he needs unstoppable power. When this move was first shown it accidentally blew away a whole mountain at max power. Roshi has been able to catch and redirect a kamehameha from Tien with his bare hands before which shows that he can block a lot of power.

The Bankoku Bikkuri-Shou which I'm only going to type once is an electric attack that holds an opponent in the air while causing them excruciating pain. Goku escaped it only by transforming into a great ape and even in his oozaru form the attack held him for a while and continued causing him pain. It was clearly a last resort and Roshi wasn't entirely sure that it wouldn't kill Goku. Although this attack is devastating it also prevents Roshi from doing anything for the duration of the attack.

Roshi is fine with using dirty tricks to win, and his dirtiest trick of all is hypnosis. He was able to put Goku to sleep with this technique and was also able to trick a werewolf into thinking Krillin's head was the moon. I don't know of any way Genkai could counter this.

I'm sure you think speed is Genkai's greatest advantage over Roshi, and it certainly seems that way at first glance. I'm sure you've seen the scan or scene in which Roshi and Krillin have a complicated exchange which is over before anyone can register that the fight has started. If not it goes something like this:

They come at one another, Roshi throws a kick, Krillin ducks under it and throws a punch at Roshi's groin, Roshi spits at him and makes him pull back, Roshi goes for a jab but Krillin snorts at him and makes him back off as well, they both actually stop and rub their chins while they think about what to do next, they agree on a game of rock paper scissors, Roshi wins and distracts Krillin by telling him to look at something off to the side, Krillin looks and gets kicked in the head by Roshi as he leaps into the air, Roshi does a superhero landing and Krillin flips through the air before landing on one foot and regaining his balance for a moment.

I don't really need to explain why that's so damn impressive. The conclusion of all this is that Roshi is too fast, too skilled, and probably won't even need his more unorthodox moves to win. He'll just make Genkai look like an amateur.

(@gearsecond659 I'm planning to add scans to this and maybe some more feats that I missed, but I figured I've made you wait long enough so here's the ugly rough draft. Once I've put the finishing touching on it tomorrow feel free to reply whenever!)
