"How beautiful. Nights like this make me want a bite to drink. Yes... I couldn't imagine a more... perfect evening."

Bio

Alucard, originally named Vlad "The Impaler" Tepes, was a ruler of Wallachia (present day Romania) during the 15th century. A religious Christian and ruthless leader, known for impaling his victims and letting them die slowly, he fought many battles against the invading Ottomans before being captured and sentenced to death. At his execution, being bitter and full of disdain, he swore off god and became the original vampire, cursed with immortality. The following centuries of his life are shrouded in mystery until his run-in with Dr Abraham Van Hellsing in the 1890's, which was described in the classic Bram Stoker book 'Dracula'. Van Hellsing defeated Alucard and made him his servant, and Alucard has sworn allegiance to the Hellsing organisation since that day. Over the next century, this organisation improved Alucard with the sole purpose to make him a monster-slaying supervampire. Alucard is loyal but also has his own goals, to fight a human worthy to die to. Because, as he sees it, to die to anyone other than a worthy human is unacceptable.

Stats and abilities

Here I will outline Alucard's stats and abilities. I will keep it simple at first and elaborate further.

Strength

Vampires in the Hellsing verse are easily superhuman, bending steel beams with ease and being in the 10 - 20 ton range. Alucard does not have a great deal of pure strength feats to his name, but is certainly superhuman.

* Punches clean through a vampire, whose skin is tough as steel.

* Cut through Tubelcains cards with his bare hands, cards which cut uranium tank shells clean in half

* Throws several swat members dozens of meters and lets them land of spikes.

Loading Video...

Whether this was done with pure strength or TK is not shown but:

* His tk is strong enough to move a multi thousand ton aircraft carrier

Speed and reaction

All vampires in Hellsing are casual bullets timers. Seras as fledgling, during her one of her first combat assignment, was making bullets look like thrown toys

Loading Video...

Even the nazi vampires, who are fodders to the top tiers like Alucard and Anderson, evade machine gun fire from multiple opponents while charging at them even in a narrow hallways.

Loading Video...

And like I said, these vampires are slow to Alucard and Anderson, who fought equally with each other.

* Alucard is shown to react and move just as fast as Luke Valentine in response to his attack.

Loading Video...

That same Luke could do this.

Loading Video...

* Alucard moves his arm and blocks a bullet which was going to hit Integra

* Shot Anderson's bayonets out of the air, which broke through the sound barrier.

Rip's bullet feat

Now, there is a lot of talk about his Rip bullet catching feat, but it most of it lowballing tbh. While the jets the bullet tagged are supersonic (mach 3 and above to be precise), the bullet itself is a lot faster. In the anime the scene is somewhat hard to follow due to the way it was drawn, but the manga shows the bullet literally dancing around the jet and easily tagging it multiple times despite its speed.

A calc can be found here. It puts the bullet in the mach 30range as a low end calc.

Alucard caught this bullet with his teeth.

No Caption Provided

So yeah, easily hypersonic.

Durability and regeneration

While Alucard's base durability does not seem like much, his strength lies in his ability to pretty much no sell any damage he takes. In case he takes too much damage, Alucard has a regeneration factor that tops almost anything in fiction. He is shown healing from a small puddle of blood, being shot full of holes by hundreds of bullets, having his arm cut clean in half. being stabbed in the heart and decapitated, and many many more things.

No Caption Provided

Shot to a bloody pulp but reforms as a misty shadow

Loading Video...

insta regen, yoh

No Caption Provided

Being kicked in half? All in a day's work

All these things he can do without the slightest need to recover, and there are pretty much no limits to his regen as long as he has souls. And he has thousands of them. He stands in the middle of a blazing kerosine inferno and smiles while doing it. It does not mean a thing to him.

Loading Video...

Basically, killing Alucard means stabbing his heart. Over and over. Until all his thousands of souls are gone.

Weapons

Alucard has two guns, the Cassul and the Jackal. The former is his "regular" pistol, which possesses special tips designed to take out vampires and other freaks and which he uses to great effect.

Loading Video...

Alucard's other weapons, the Jackal, can best be described as a handcanon. Too heavy for regular humans, Alucard dualwields it with his other pistol.

Loading Video...

This weapon shot Anderson's arm nearly of with one shot, and Anderson no sold machine gun fire from nazi vampires and Alucard's regular bullets.

Loading Video...

Familiars

Alucard has powerful souls named familiars which he can summon by releasing his restriction levels. He can do this himself, as he only needs his master's permission to release his level 0. While level 0 is when he releases all souls he has inside of him, he has been shown to use others during level 1, so it is incorrect to assume he needs to go level 0 to summon his most powerful allies:

* Alucard has a hell dog, the Baskerville hound, which can eat opponents whole and was shown to be impervious to bullets that damaged Alucard

Loading Video...

* Alucard can summon shadow familiars such as multiple pairs of hands, which rip vampires apart like wet tissue paper

Loading Video...

* Tubelcaine: A vampire Alucard consumed in OVA III. This vampire is shown to possess magic playing cards which stop regeneration and cut through reinforced uranium shells.

* Rip van Winkle. Brandishes the aforementioned magic bullet which cuts through fighter jets as if they were made out of cardboard.

Other abilities

* Agility: Alucard can run stand and run straight up walls

* Combat experience: Alucard has been a vampire for over 500 years, and has been killing freaks specifically for decades

* Precog: full vampires have a form of precognition, giving them some foresight of their enemies' actions

* Third-eye: Alucard can hit target without looking at them, even from great distances

* Phasing: Alucard has shown to be able through solid objects. He never used this in combat however.

* Gliding: While Alucard cannot straight up fly, he has been shown to glide distances of up to several kilometers at a speed of several 100's of km/h

* Shapeshifting: Alucard can transform (part of) himself in bats, insects and several other forms. He can change his 'human appearance' at will, saying it literally means nothing to him.

* Mind control: Alucard can mind control regular humans to do his bidding.

* Illusions: He made fellow vampires believe to see things that were not true, such as Tubelcain and Vampire Walter.

* Blood control: Alucard has telekinetic powers over blood. He wrote to Seras using his own blood and drew the blood of several million people towards him.

Lack of vampiric weaknesses

While the original Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel set the tone for the classic weaknesses of most vampires, Alucard does not share most of these. Religious symbols merely annoy him, garlic and silver are useless and getting a stake through the heart will just take one of his many, many lives. He prefers the night but is not hurt by sunlight and he can go years without drinking blood. The only weakness he has in common with the original Dracula is his inability to cross large bodies of water, something which is irrelevant in this scenario.

Opening thoughts

* Alucard trumps Mercer in... pretty much anything, besides brute strength.

* Alucard is a casual bullet timer and has hypersonic reaction feats. This will make him near impossible to tag for Mercer.

* Both can take a lot of damage, but Alucard has far superior regen. He will not die unless his heart is pierced.

* While both have their absorbing qualities, Alucard's hell dog might as well be an instant win.

* Alucard can regenerate without the need to drink extra blood. Mercer has shown that he needs biomass to regenerate from excessive damage.

* Even if Mercer manages to "kill" Alucard a few times, he lacks the stamina to down him thousands upon thousands of times

@dygoboy, your turn

@cpt_nice:Sorry it took me a it longer than I thought. My Computer wen a bit hay-wire I was finishing my first response. So I'm rewriting everything all over again.

Let's do this

No Caption Provided

Alexander "Alex" J. Mercer, also known as The Prototype or by his codename Zeus, was the former head researcher of the Blacklightproject at Gentek. After learning that those affiliated with the project were being systematically murdered, Mercer attempted to flee the city with a sample of his research contained in a vial. Cornered at Penn Station, Mercer smashed the vial and unleashed the deadly virus into the surroundings. This triggered a viral outbreak that eventually covered all ofManhattan Island.

After awaking at a Gentek facility with no recollection of his past, Alex Mercer escaped the building, and soon discovered his new powers and abilities, granted by the virus he unleashed. He begins to utilize his powers to learn more of his fragmented past, as he scoured all of New York for those responsible.

PHYSICAL POWERS.

  • Shapeshifting: Mercer's Blacklight infection has granted him the ability to both shapeshift and fashion his body into weapons. An example this would be his Blade resembling a giant sharp blade and his viral flesh possessing a yellow/reddish hue. His Whipfist has small razor-like blades across its spine-like form. Alex's evolved Hammerfists allow him to perform area attacks. He possesses consumption/assimilation abilities inherent in all infected creatures that allow him to take on the form and memories of any creature he consumes.
  • Superhuman Strength: His incredible strength allows him to lift cars, trucks, tanks, APCs,Tanks and helicopters and throw them great distances. He is far stronger than any normal human or most basic Infected, able to kill a regular human with a single, effortless punch and manhandle the infectious residents of Manhattan. Mercer is capable of punching holes through almost anything if necessary, including a two foot steel doors.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: His "mind" Processes images faster than your average peak human. Making him capable of dodging bullets and other form of projectile weapons. And can take this a step further by increasing his perception of time to target more effectively and escape Super Sonic Schockwaves.
  • Superhuman Speed: Mercer's speed is likewise enhanced. He can achieve running speeds surpassing any vehicles. Even reaching Mach 1, causing a Sonic boom.
  • Superhuman Agility: He can perform amazing parkour feats such as flips and rolls and maneuvers over and around vehicles and debris with little trouble. His leg strength allows him to leap nearly ten stories into the air. Mercer can run up sheer vertical surfaces and cling to walls for an indefinite period of time. Mercer is also capable of gliding, by ejecting small amounts of mass for further propulsion.
  • Superhuman Endurance: Mercer's endurance far exceeds that of a human's by leaps and bounds. His body no longer possesses weak bones or vital organs, rendering him immune to otherwise debilitating injury. This biological change allows him to survive falls from any height completely unharmed. Bullets of any caliber will pass through his body,or will stop at impact causing very little to no damage that heals instantly. He can withstand direct hits from rockets, hellfire missiles and tank shells, which cause only small amounts of damage. The super humanly strong blows of the various type of Hunters and super soldiers cause the most damage of any type of attack. His superhuman stamina allows him to be physically active at all times without tire.
  • Healing Factor: Mercer's body has vast powers of self-regeneration. So long as he is properly nourished, Mercer can restore his biomass and heal any wounds within mere seconds. He can from minor injuries without consuming any creature. Examples include regenerating bullet wounds instantly after being shot, regenerating a massive hole in his face after being shot point-blank by General Randall, and slowly reconstructing his entire physical form from non-decript piles of biomass, he then regenerated within moments after a crow had landed next to him, and he proceeded to consume it.He regenerate all of his biomass within moments of being blown apart by a nuclear explosion. Mercer also seems to have a robust immune system. Though unable to counter a parasite which had been introduced into his body without outside help, he gained a growing immunity to bloodtox with repeat exposure.
  • Superhuman Senses: Mercer's vision and hearing is enhanced, allowing him to see beyond the visible spectrum and hear across great distances even with physical insulation. He has thermal vision which allows him to locate heat signatures,Hunting a viral sonar pulse that can allow Mercer to sense and feel everything within an entire city radius. Even if the targets are on top of buildings and in mid air and infected visionwhich can detect large concentrations of the virus and tap into the hive mind itself.
  • Adaptability: The Blacklight Virus is capable of adapting itself to certain elements after a continuous exposure to said element. For example in the comic book, after being inhibited and slowed down by more than 10Gs of gravitational force he then walked away from it as if the force never even existed.

Alucards Abilities In Comparison to Alex's

While Alucard does have some exotic abilities that will help him greatly in the course of this battle but his physical disadvantage will be his undoing.

Alucards strength pales in comparison to Mercer.

No Caption Provided
  • Mercer is capable of effortlessly punching through Soldiers wearing synthetic suits and body armor like Kevlar Cerramic and Rhino Plate
No Caption Provided
  • Effortlessly tosses a full grown Human across a few city blocks to another building.
No Caption Provided

He effortlessly throws a 35 ton Bradley APC a couple of blocks away from him. With only one arm all the way to the cloud district.

Loading Video...

Mercer's bullet dive destroys buildings reinforced with Biomass. This shows a lot more destructive potential with a bit of Alex's casual moves. What's really impressive about this is that Hives are a lot more durable than reinforced buildings. And the fact that they can regenerate makes it way more impressive. The Game doesn't give the Player or Alex the kind credit they deserve.

  • Now the TK feat is the one that gets my gear grinding. Even tough Alucard regularly doesn't even use TK he somehow manages to push that ship. This needs a bit more thinking power. And I cannot invest my focus on this feat alone since Alucard barely uses his in an offensive way TK to begin with.

These small feats shows that Alucard's strength caliber is way below Alex's. Alex's is a confirmed 100+ tonner.

Speed and reaction

All vampires in Hellsing are casual bullets timers. Seras as fledgling, during her one of her first combat assignment, was making bullets look like thrown toys

While I do agree that Alucard is faster than Alex in terms of reaction. But in running speed,he is easily dwarfed. Alex is well above Sub-Sonic in running speed.

Loading Video...
  • You will see Alex here easily maneuvering through the environment a straight line and easily react, flip over, recover in mid air and defy the laws of inertia and physics from time to time, and while still keep himself in momentum. This is just P1 Alex Mercer. While Prototype 2 Alex is very well Superior to Heller in all terms of speed.

Now in terms of movement speed it can be argued. But Alex isn't that far.

No Caption Provided

Dodges a barrage of helicopter bullets on snow. And just in case you should know, due to Mercer's weight his speed would have been massively hindered, but yet he still dodges the bullets and even while jumping towards the shooter.

Loading Video...
  • 0:31-Even before he redesigned and boosted Alex was already dodging and reacting to missiles. You have to look closely and focus since everything goes pretty darn fast.
Loading Video...
  • 1:15-You can even see Alex dodge a Javeline Missile Launcher. In which it's Missile are Anti Tank Missile

So Alex is a confirmed Super Sonic+ In reaction and can be argued to be Hyper Sonic. But I won't get into that right now. Right now i'm trying to prove that Alucard's speed won't be of much help against Alex. But like you said. Post things first. Elaborate them later.

Rip's bullet feat

Now, there is a lot of talk about his Rip bullet catching feat, but it most of it lowballing tbh. While the jets the bullet tagged are supersonic (mach 3 and above to be precise), the bullet itself is a lot faster. Alucard caught this bullet with his teeth.

No Caption Provided

So yeah, easily hypersonic.

Now this is is extremely impressive. And i can solidly agree that Alucard is faster than Alex in reaction. But again. Alex isn't that far off.

Alex regularly dodges and tanks Tank rounds most of the time at point blank range. Varying of many types-

M829

The M829 has a ballistic nose and five tail fins made of aluminum. It is carried in the gun tube by a four-piece aluminum sabot, which separates into four "petals" soon after the round leaves the gun tube. The propulsion system uses an obturating case base with a semi-combustible cartridge wall. It has a total weight of 41.1 lb (18.6 kg) and utilizes a 627 mm (24.7 in) DU penetrator with a 27 mm rod diameter, which will reach a muzzle velocity of 1,670 metres per second (5,500 ft/s) because of 8.1 kg (18 lb) of JA-2 propellant. Maximum effective range is 3,000 m (3,300 yd). According to Jane's, the M829 is capable of penetrating 540 mm (21 in) of RHA Steel armor at up to a 2,000 m (2,200 yd) range.

M829A1

The M829A1 proved itself in 1991 against IraqiT-55 and T-72 tanks during Operation Desert Storm. However, its effectiveness has been reduced by modern explosive reactive armor (ERA) such as the Russian Kontakt-5, which led to the rapid development of the M829A2 and later the M829A3 round (those in turn led to the development of the newest Russian Relikit ERA). The M829A1 round weighs 20.9 kg (46 lb) and has an overall length of 984 mm (38.7 in). The 7.9 kg (17 lb) of JA-19 propellant creates a chamber pressure of 5,600 bars, which results in a muzzle velocity of 1,575 m/s (5,170 ft/s). The 684 mm (26.9 in)-long penetrator together with its sabot weighs 9 kg (20 lb). The mass of the penetrator alone is 4.6 kg (10 lb). The effective target range is 3,000 m (3,300 yd). Point-blank the M829A1 is estimated to penetrate 670 mm (26 in) of steel armor, which decreases to 620 mm (24 in) at 1,000 m (1,100 yd), and to 570 mm (22 in) at 2,000 m (2,200 yd). At 4,000 m (4,400 yd), it is believed to still be able to penetrate 460 mm (18 in) of steel armor.

M829A2

The M829A2 APFSDS is a third-generation anti-tank round based on the M829 penetrator and designed for the 120-mm M256 main gun in the M1A1 (or later) Abrams main battle tank. The M829A2 was rapidly developed to have the capability to destroy tanks equipped with Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armor (ERA). The M829A2 featured several improvements over the M829A1, including: a longer depleted uranium penetrating rod, giving it increased penetration over previous types of anti-tank rounds; better manufacturing processes for the penetrator; and a special manufacturing process that partially cut the propellant charge to allow it to behave ballistically like a granular propellant bed, while loading like a stick charge.[The M829A2 was also the first APFSDS round to use a carbon fiber-reinforced composite sabot, reducing the weight of the overall round and allowing for the larger penetrator. Combined, these features boosted the muzzle velocity of the M829A2 to approximately 100 m/s greater than the M829A1 to 1,680 m/s (5,500 ft/s), while operating at a slightly lower gun-chamber pressure. .

M829A3

The M829A3 is a 120-mm APFSDS round developed from the M829A2 round. It completed type classification standard in March 2003 and is currently in full rate production for the US Army.

Very little is known about the round, though it is believed to be the first anti-armor tank round to use a segmented penetrator. The M829A3 uses a more efficien tpropellant, RPD-380, boosting its muzzle velocity. The M829A3 round has a total mass of 22.3 kg (49 lb) and length of 892 mm (35.1 in). It uses 8.1 kg (18 lb) of RPD-380 stick propellant, accelerating a 10 kg (22 lb) depleted uranium rod penetrator, estimated from cutaway mock-ups to be 800 mm (31 in) long, to a muzzle velocity of 1,555 m/s (5,100 ft/s).The sabot is of composite material.

"An anti-tank missile (ATM), anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), anti-tank guided weapon (ATGW) or anti-armor guided weapon, is a guidedmissile primarily designed to hit and destroy heavily armoredmilitary vehicles.

The missile moves at hypersonic speeds (up to 25 times the speed of sound) in solid material and therefore erodes exclusively in the contact area of jet and armor material. The correct detonation point of the warhead and spacing is critical for optimum penetration, for two reasons:

With the effectiveness of gun-fired single charge HEAT rounds being lessened, or even negated by increasingly sophisticated armoring techniques, a class of HEAT rounds termed high-explosive anti-tank multi-purpose, or HEAT-MP, has become more popular. These are HEAT rounds that are effective against older tanks and lighter armored vehicles, but have improved fragmentation, blast and fuzing. This gives the projectiles an overall reasonable light armor and anti-personnel/materiel effect so that they can be used in place of conventional high-explosive rounds against infantry and other battlefield targets. This reduces the total number of rounds that need to be carried for different roles, which is particularly important for modern tanks like the M1 Abrams, due to the size of their 120 millimetres (4.7 in) rounds"

Seeing as he reacts to Anti-Tank Missiles and deflects them and sends them right back to the sender makes his reaction roughly in league with Alucard's. Mach 25.

For as impressive as you might think those guns will be against Mercer. They will be useless. And the Jackal will be a minor nuisance to Alex.

Loading Video...
  • 2:13-You can easily see Alex simply pop out of nowhere and surprised the well alerted Blackwatch Soldiers
  • 2:20-From here on forward you can clearly see Alex getting shot by high caliber assault riffles. Not a single one manages to even put a hole on him. He's bullet proof.

So again his weapons will be a minor nuisance to Alex at best.

Now we're getting into the interesting part. Let me get on to the hound first.

I'm well aware that it can easily swallow Vampires hole but that isn't different on what Alex's overall infected can do. Not to mention himself as well. At it can easily get taken down.

The Arms

Not as impressive as it is. I mean Alucard can tear a vampire to shreds on his own don't get me wrong that's op. But that still isn't quite impressive as you might think.

Seeing as Alex's body can easily take slashes from a Hunter with barely any showing of damage and a Armor piercing combat knife, I don't see him possibly getting put down by this. And this is is just Alex at base without amping himself in any sort of way.

The Dandyman

Now these are the more compent opponents. It can be well argued that Dandyman's cards wont work on Alex since 1:

  • He isn't made up with magic.
  • His body isn't naturally organic
  • He doesn't have a soul
  • He's not alive to begin with.
  • The Parasite din't stop Alex's healing factor.

The Parasite

"Did you ever consider how the parasite felt? An intelligent cancer ripped from its host?"
Alex Mercer: "Yeah, I did. Once... Right before I killed it."
―? questioning Mercer.

The Parasite was a pathogen developed by synthesizing the viral strands and Alex Mercer's own DNA. It was intended to be a parasitic organism and develop a cure to the Blacklight virus.

"The Parasite he's created could be worse than Mercer himself! You can't just...go play god and hope it'll all work out!"―Mark Katsaounis, a Gentek scientist expressing his concern about the Parasite.

The Parasite was initially created by Gentek with the help of Karen Parker, who had convinced Mercer to gather the required genetic material. Presuming she was developing a cure for the Blacklight virus, Mercer agreed to help in its development, without the knowledge of Karen's true intentions.

DEPLOYMENT

No Caption Provided

After its successful development,Gentek tested the sample on multiple variations of the Infected. Most of which died after a couple of seconds of the presence of the pathogen.

Blackwatch later used it as a weapon against Mercer. Captain Robert Cross succeeded in injecting the parasite into Mercer after a skirmish inside a hive. The virus manifested within Alex, hindering his shapeshifting abilities and spread through his body like a cancer, feeding off him, causing immense pain, reducing his overall power. However, the parasite was unable to affect Alex's strength, speed, regenerative abilities, or disguise power.

After being cured from this parasite by "cutting off its food supply" with the help of Dr. Bradley Ragland, (who had the antigens of samples from the parasite extracted and injected into a genetically compatible hunter, where then it developed an immunity to the parasite so that mercer could consume it and absorb the antibodies to treat himself) Mercer used it as a weapon againstElizabeth Greene. Mercer hoped that this would cure her of the infection or cause similar effects to her body that he had experienced. However, Greene's biology rejected this pathogen and a new form of hunter was created from the biomass.

Even with the parasite weakening him,and slowly killing him,the very thing that was supposed to put Alex down to the ground and cancel out all of Alex's abilities pretty much didn't affect Alex core set of powers. His speed, his strength, durability and importantly his healing factor. It only stopped him from manipulating his biomass to perform shape shift his body into biological weapons and some special visions.

Rip van Winkle

  • The only use she will have on the field is to annoy Mercer. it pierced the fighter Jet. Cool but when you look at the jet's alloy and compare it to Mercer it's not that impressive.

Fighter Jets are normally made up metals like Reinforced Steel and Titanium. But It's more likely to be Steel. Since you know "Government expenses.". And they are a lot cheaper and easier to fabricate than Titanium.

While Impressive Alex easily one-shots Tanks made up of Tungsten steel, depleted Uranium and reinforced Titanium and Chobham armor.

He at least has to be a lot tougher than graphene.

In simple terms, graphene, is a thin layer of pure carbon; it is a single, tightly packed layer of carbon atoms that are bonded together in a hexagonal honeycomb lattice. In more complex terms, it is an allotrope of carbon in the structure of a plane of sp2 bonded atoms with a molecule bond length of 0.142 nanometres. Layers of graphene stacked on top of each other form graphite, with an interplanar spacing of 0.335 nanometres.

Graphene, the wonder material that should rejuvenate almost every sphere of science and technology in the next decade or so, can add another application to its already exceedingly long list: bulletproof armor. US researchers have found that, by stacking sheets of graphene on top of each other, it has between eight and 10 times the stopping power of steel.

I know, I know — at this point, it’s hardly surprising that graphene would make the ideal material for thin and light bulletproof armor. It’s still pretty awesome, however, that all ofgraphene’s properties — from being the most electrically conductive material in the world, to being super-strong, to allowing for transparent brain implants — all derive from a one-atom-thick layer of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb structure.

This is what perfect graphene looks like: A monolayer of carbon atoms. Turns out, it’s super-strong, along with being mega-conductive among other things.

This new research, carried out by Rice University and the University of Massachusetts, is notable for being one of first examples of actually testing graphene out. Usually, a lot of graphene research is simulated or theoretical or extrapolated. In this case, the US researchers actually fired tiny gold bullets at sheets of graphene, and then measured the results.

This is what perfect graphene looks like: A monolayer of carbon atoms. Turns out, it’s super-strong, along with being mega-conductive among other things.

The researchers tested between 10 and 100 layers of graphene — between 10 nanometers and 100 nanometers thick, respectively. They focused a laser on a gold filament, vaporizing it into a projectile bullet that traveled at 3,000 meters per second — or more than twice the muzzle velocity of a high-powered rifle. As the tiny (micrometer-sized) bullets slammed into the graphene armor, it showed around twice the stopping power of Kevlar, or about 10 times the stopping power of steel plate. [Research paper: DOI: 10.1126/science.1258544]

An illustration of graphene deforming, as it’s struck by a bullet
An illustration of graphene deforming, as it’s struck by a bullet

As expected, the impact of the bullets caused the graphene to deform into a cone shape — and then cracking radially. These cracks are somewhat problematic, but they could be easily solved with a composite structure (a ceramic plate, perhaps), or just by using more graphene. Remember, graphene is so thin and light that you can basically keep stacking layers of it indefinitely without incurring any significant bulkiness or mass; a million layers of graphene would be on the order of 1 million nanometers… or 1 millimeter thick.

It's very well possible for Mercer to be tougher than Graphene. Seeing as his body easily slashes through Earth's strongest metals and compounds it can be easily assumed.

No Caption Provided

To strengthen this Alex's cells are not human,or like anything biology has ever seen.

Not to mention that Mercer somehow consumes Metal. What how? Well the fact that he consumes Soldiers along with their synthetic and technological suit and body armor completely.

No Caption Provided

And he can perfectly replicate it. Not to mention it's tech, look, sound, compounds everything. But it's still just mass. How is that even possible?

Because Alex gives logic the finer. Alex is indeed tougher than graphene. His overall power set and cells being capable of decomposing metals and add it to it's own without having any sort of magnetic properties is amazing. Ah Logic. Some people simply don't like like to follow your rule and sometimes defy you.

So yes. Van Winkle's Bullets will be an annoyance to Alex at best. If the bullet will get stuck if it manages to penetrate Alex.

Not to mention, releasing his familiars is a liability for Alucard,it will give Alex a chance to consume them and gain more mass and make him stronger.

Since you showed a bit of Alucard's minions. I will show Alex's.

Pustules Hives

No Caption Provided

Infected Pustules are bulbous globules that spawn Brawler Hunters and Juggernauts.

Alex is capable of taking a small piece of his biomass and put under the earth and let the pustules grow. Even though their growth time takes about from 3-7 minutes, their production time makes it worth the waiting.

Capable of producing Brawlers and Juggernauts in 39.6 seconds. Alex can put this anywhere within the environment and he can easily get his own army while Fighting Alucard.

Not to mention he has different ways of getting his army in a quicker rate,Ill get to that later.

While Alucard's base durability does not seem like much, his strength lies in his ability to pretty much no sells any damage he takes. In case he takes too much damage, Alucard has a regeneration factor that tops almost anything in fiction. He is shown healing from a small puddle of blood, being shot full of holes by hundreds of bullets, having his arm cut clean in half. being stabbed in the heart and decapitated, and many many more things.

Now this were they will both fight by the end of eternity.Well technically Alucard's does have a limit. He might be capable of regenerating from a puddle of blood. But that of course costs him a soul.

Alex's healing factor, the only thing it shows that it has limit for is his speed. Which depends on biomass that his body has stored in. Alex's body produces Biomass on it's own but it inferior in comparison to what he gets from consuming. Alex has been proven to regenerate right down to the cellular level.

Even though things like cuts and holes on his body don't use up his biomass. But of things like decapitation and dismemberment to make him need to use biomass unless he wants to wait for his body to regenerate it on it's own. But that takes a while.

Other abilities

* Agility: Alucard can run stand and run straight up walls

Wall Running

No Caption Provided

Wall Running is one of the advanced movement abilities that the Prototypes are capable of performing, due to their evolved leg musculature.

Wall Climb
Wall Climb

In order to wall run, Alex and shifts his biomass to his limbs to grant him greatly augmented strength, speed, and agility, an effect giving them the ability to run along nearly any surface. His speed and agility increased greatly while his movement abilities evolved. He is also capable of using his biomass-enhanced strength to perform a much slower, more controlled wall climb, which is useful for precision, accuracy and stealth when scaling buildings.

* Combat experience: Alucard has been a vampire for over 500 years, and has been killing freaks specifically for decades

The combat experience can be well argued. But both have faced very exotic enemies of unusual nature but I think it slightly goes to Alucard.

* Precog: full vampires have a form of precognition, giving them some foresight of their enemies' actions

Now this needs a bit of elaboration.

* Third-eye: Alucard can hit target without looking at them, even from great distances

Cool.Mercer can also do the same via Hunting.

* Phasing: Alucard has shown to be able through solid objects. He never used this in combat however.

Cool.

* Gliding: While Alucard cannot straight up fly, he has been shown to glide distances of up to several kilometers at a speed of several 100's of km/h

Alex can also glide.

Airdash

No Caption Provided

Airdash is one of the movement abilities, that allow the Prototypesto avoid projectiles or increase the speed and distance of their Glide.

AIRDASH BOOST

Airdash boost further increases the effectiveness of Airdash. This upgrade to the core Airdash, increases the speed and distance.

AIRDASH DOUBLE

No Caption Provided

Add a second Airdash for each and every jump. Use Airdash Double to double dodge, or alternately avoid an attack - then dash toward your foe for a retaliation! It also eliminates the need to land after each airdash, meaning that he can maintain a glide more effectively.

* Shapeshifting: Alucard can transform (part of) himself in bats, insects and several other forms. He can change his 'human appearance' at will, saying it literally means nothing to him.

Impressive. Mercer can do the same.

* Mind control: Alucard can mind control regular humans to do his bidding.

Now before you get the idea of Alucard will even get to control Alex's mind.

  • Mercer has resisted Mind Control from Elizabeth Greene.
  • Alucard won't be mind controloling someone who deals with millions of fractured and psychotic minds inside him on a daily basis.

* Illusions: He made fellow vampires believe to see things that were not true, such as Tubelcain and Vampire Walter.

Interesting..But still not really helpfull

* Blood control: Alucard has telekinetic powers over blood. He wrote to Seras using his own blood and drew the blood of several million people towards him.

Cool But useless.

Opening thoughts

* Alucard trumps Mercer in... pretty much anything, besides brute strength.

No. Alex doesn't only beat Alucard in Brute strength, but also durability, destructive capacity, invulnerability and regeneration can be argued

* Alucard is a casual bullet timer and has hypersonic reaction feats. This will make him near impossible to tag for Mercer.

I've shown that Alex is also a casual bullet timer and a high level hyper sonic. Being capable of dodging an anti-tank missile.

* Both can take a lot of damage, but Alucard has far superior regen. He will not die unless his heart is pierced.

This is debatable. Isn't Alucard getting turned to paste cost him 1 soul? Because I think it does. Plues what's stopping Alex from consuming him? Not to mention that Alex can simply lay bits of masses of him around the environment, just in case his current mass gets wiped out.

* While both have their absorbing qualities, Alucard's hell dog might as well be an instant win.

No. His hell dog can get easily one-shot by Alex. And Alex's infected from Hunter to above can pretty beat it was well.

* Alucard can regenerate without the need to drink extra blood. Mercer has shown that he needs biomass to regenerate from excessive damage.

Common misconception and PIS. If a crow in Prototype 1 was enough to for Mercer to regenerate from a puddle to his fully powered self in moments, then his Biomass reserves should be more than capable of allowing Alex to heal thousands of times over without having plot tamper to hinder them. I mean if him getting a crow was enough to put him back at peak capacity him consuming his 7 Evolved should have easily made him impossible to even take out. But then again..The power of plot was too much.

* Even if Mercer manages to "kill" Alucard a few times, he lacks the stamina to down him thousands upon thousands of times

He lacks the Stamina?.........

No Caption Provided

I think that you forgot that Alex has unlimited Stamina/Endurance. He never gets tired. He doesn't need to sleep, eat, breathe ect..

So yeah. If Mercer knows that he has to kill Alucard those many times,he will do it anyways. No matter how long the battle might last. For Weeks. To Months. To even years.

But again. What's stooping him from consuming Alucard?

To my conclusion

  • Alex is easily stronger than Alucard
  • Alex is easily a lot more durable than Alucard.
  • Alucard can't mind control Alex
  • Alex's overall speed and reaction is enough to tag and keep up with Alucard
  • Alucards Familiars are a liability to Alucard and will only give Mercer more power.
  • Alex can make an entire army.
  • Alex's punches can easily go through Alucard.
  • Alucard's guns won't do anything to Mercer.
  • Mercer will regenerate from anything Alucard can throw at him.
  • Both are on a stand off on skill.
  • Alex will kill Alucard thousands of times over without tiring
  • Alucard litearly has no way to permanently put down Alex
  • Alucard will toy with Alex since they're both morals on. While Alex will simply charge at Alucard and attempt to quickly consume or eviscerate Alucard.

"That was a very good try. However... I cannot be killed by dogs. It takes a man in order to kill a monster!"

Counters

While Alucard does have some exotic abilities that will help him greatly in the course of this battle but his physical disadvantage will be his undoing.

As is very often the case in VS threads, a mere stat advantage is not gonna give a combatant the win.

These small feats shows that Alucard's strength caliber is way below Alex's. Alex's is a confirmed 100+ tonner.

I was honestly expecting you to bring up this argument so I am not surprised. Yup, Alucard is outclassed in the strength department. The thing with Alucard is though, unless you're gonna punch him to the surface of the sun or atomize him with sheer strength, brute force won't accomplish anything. As shown above and as I will elaborate, Alucard cannot die from anything other than a legit piercing of the heart. Mercer can hammer away at him until he weighs an ounce. It won't do much.

Now the TK feat is the one that gets my gear grinding. Even tough Alucard regularly doesn't even use TK he somehow manages to push that ship. This needs a bit more thinking power. And I cannot invest my focus on this feat alone since Alucard barely uses his in an offensive way TK to begin with.

I am sorry, but just because you "don't like" a feat, does not make it any less real. Alucard only appeared on screen for a couple of hours and in a handful of battle, maybe if he had more battles he would have used tk on one of his opponents. I am not gonna use "he uses TK to smash Mercer" as a legit statement, especially since Alucard has a plethora of weighs to win, but as my opener was listing his abilities, it would be a shame to ignore such a good one. Moving on:

Alucard's speed

Here I wil proof Alucard's speed is superior to Mercer's.

Movement

You will see Alex here easily maneuvering through the environment a straight line and easily react, flip over, recover in mid air and defy the laws of inertia and physics from time to time, and while still keep himself in momentum.

While this is not bad in the speed department, Mercer is outclassed, simple as that. Even in optimal conditions, running down a street in a straight line, he barely outpaces moving cars. This is confirmed in your own parkour vid, where at 0.42 he slowly passes a bunch of cars that are accelerating.

Realistically his top speed should be in the 100 - 150 km/h range.

* Remember the scan I posted of Alucard gliding? This is how the anime shows it.

Loading Video...

CALC TIME!

Alucard propels himself from the carrier at great speed, standing still I might add, and reaches the knights and nazi vampires who are in a stand off after about 21 seconds. They are standing at Trafalgar Square, as we can later see Nelson's column in the background. The distance between tower bridge (which is where Alucard "parked the carrier", as you can see earlier in the vid) and said square is 3,6 km, as the crow flies.

Covering 3,6 km in 21 seconds puts Alucard at 617 km/hour or 171,42 meters/second.

And, might I add, this is a very low end calc. At 12.06 you can see that he basically covered most of the distance already and is gliding almost vertically down. If he covered the distance in +- 7 seconds, that would put him at over 500 meters/second, so basically supersonic in terms of movement speed.

Far above Mercer's feats. Granted, he can do parkour pretty well, but that is not gonna help him much in a fight.

* Even running up a wall he goes so fast he appears as a blur (top right pannel)

No Caption Provided

* In these pages he moves fast enough backwards to stay out of Anderson's reach, the same Anderson who blitzed Nazi vampires.

These nazi vampires, again, easily evade machine gun fire while running directly at their opponents.

Dodges a barrage of helicopter bullets on snow.

This is actually not such a great feat as a minigun operated by a human, especially on a helicopter, is not known for its accuracy.

Now, the javeline feats are pretty decent, and I am not gonna argue Mercer is not a super sonic dodger. Then again, Hellsing fodder has shown casual super sonic dodging feats, fodder who Alucard and Anderson have for breakfast. Alucard himself has shown to be hypersonic.

And i can solidly agree that Alucard is faster than Alex in reaction. But again. Alex isn't that far off.

Actually he is. Alex dodges bullets, javelines and helicopter missiles (most likely Hellfire). All of that is in the mach 1.2 - 2.5 range. Even Hellsing fodder matches that, and arguably trumps it. Alucard is 15 to 20 times above that, as a low end calc.

Alex regularly dodges and tanks Tank rounds most of the time at point blank range. Varying of many types-

Oh boy, this made me chuckle

First off, If you are trying to intimidate me with walls of text, try again. I read through the whole list of armor types and the fastest speed I saw was a muscle velocity of 1680 m/s. That is roughty mach 5,1 and not mach 25.

Also, can you show me Alex reacting to (and maybe sending back) a round from such a tank?

Now, about those heat missiles. You got that hypersonic quote from Wikipedia. Not really wrong per se, except you quoted it wrong, changing the word 'stream' to missile. The original quote is as follows:

The stream moves at hypersonic speeds (up to 25 times the speed of sound) in solid material and therefore erodes exclusively in the contact area of jet and armor material.

A heat missile is designed to deliver a certain charge at a high speed on impact with heavy armor. This stream of energy moves at hypersonic speeds, not the missile itself. Did you do this on purpose, or were you just sloppy?

So yeah, conclusion:

* Alex's movement speed is several orders of magnitudes below Alucard.

* His reactions are supersonic, mach 1 - 2, maybe 5 if you manage to prove so. Alucard's are 6 times higher at least.

The guns

You can clearly see Alex getting shot by high caliber assault riffles. Not a single one manages to even put a hole on him. He's bullet proof.

Do you remember how the Jackal almost shot off Anderson's arm off with one hit? That same Anderson happily tanks machine gun fire from half a dozen opponents.

Loading Video...

That's how powerful it is. If Alucard puts it to his Mercer's head, he can kiss it goodbye.

Not as impressive as it is. I mean Alucard can tear a vampire to shreds on his own

Of course he can. But the arms give him ridiculous range, seeing as how he attacked vampires from dozens of feet away, which gives him a range advantage over Mercer .

Seeing as Alex's body can easily take slashes from a Hunter with barely any showing of damage and a Armor piercing combat knife, I don't see him possibly getting put down by this.

What have hunters and a knife done that puts them above Alucard's arms?

Now these are the more compent opponents. It can be well argued that Dandyman's cards wont work on Alex

Now all those reasons are only related to the healing stop factor, which indeed might not work because of the difference in their healing factor. But then again, that is hardly the worst of Alex's problems. He is gonna get cut to ribbons by them.

While Impressive Alex easily one-shots Tanks made up of Tungsten steel, depleted Uranium and reinforced Titanium and Chobham armor.

There are a few things wrong with this statement:

* Where is your proof the tanks are made up out of the materials you listed?

* Being able to cut up something of said material, does not make you are durable as said material. Otherwise glass cannons would not exist. Lots of superheroes can bend steel with their bare hands, but would die from a wooden baseball bat to the skull. Thus, even if Alex can cut up said material, it does not necessarily make him as durable.

Alex is indeed tougher than graphene.

This is not proven in the slightest, since this is ABC logic.

His overall power set and cells being capable of decomposing metals and add it to it's own without having any sort of magnetic properties is amazing.

It is indeed interesting somehow he can absorb a soldier's clothing and make it his own, when he takes someone's identity. This is however:

* clearly done for gameplay purposes

* largely irrelevant in this combat scenario, especially due to the lack of people

* does not prove anything in the way of durability

Not to mention, releasing his familiars is a liability for Alucard,it will give Alex a chance to consume them and gain more mass and make him stronger.

Extremely unlikely for a number of reasons.

* Alucard's familiars are under full control of him and basically a part of his soul count. What convincing argument can you make for Alex being able to absorb them? Alucard does not consume his victims entire bodies, he consumes a part of their blood ("blood is the currency of the soul") and then later calls upon said soul in battle. They reside in and on his body, and are arguably not even mass.

* Mercer has to damage high level enemies to consume them. Not very likely given their stats

* Especially since they have speed comparable to Alucard, who is faster than Mercer.

Alex is capable of taking a small piece of his biomass and put under the earth and let the pustules grow.

That is a cool ability but irrelevant since he does not have prep.

Now this were they will both fight by the end of eternity.

You'd think so, but one of them has a limit to his regen. And it's not Alucard.

Well technically Alucard's does have a limit. He might be capable of regenerating from a puddle of blood. But that of course costs him a soul.

This is where you are wrong. Unfortunately for Mercer, Alucard losing a soul happens only under very specific stipulations. He needs to be stabbed in the heart. Anything else does not make him lose a soul. He will regenerate from it.

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570511-02.png

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570510-01.png

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570512-03.png

This is confirmed by Walter, who knows how Alucard's regeneration works. Even though Alucard has no souls left in his body at this point, he is not dead yet despite losing all his limbs and litres of blood.

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570513-10+%281%29.png

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570514-10+%282%29.png

The whole plan of Millenium hinged on getting Alucard to release all souls from his castle/coffin. Then, when he had no more souls at his disposal, they would stab him in the heart.

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3351627-.alucard+healing+thanks+to+millions+of+free+lives+vol+10+%282%29.png

Ergo, Mercer has to stab Alucard in the heart, thousands upon thousands of times, to kill him. An impossible task, especially given the fact Mercer does not even have this piece of information. Not that he could do it if he knows about Alucard's weakness, because he is not gonna last long enough to even kill him twice.

Alex's healing factor, the only thing it shows that it has limit for is his speed. Which depends on biomass that his body has stored in.

How fast can Alex regen without consuming biomass from other healing organisms? Because I think it has been shown he cannot regain a lot of health without a pretty constant supply of body mass. Can you show me an example of becoming a bloody stain and regeneration in a matter of seconds, like Alucard can do with ease?

But of things like decapitation and dismemberment to make him need to use biomass unless he wants to wait for his body to regenerate it on it's own. But that takes a while.

Time which he will not have when Alucard is breathing down his neck.

I am not gonna comment on Alex other abilities or your responses to Alucard's, since it is just outlining what they can do. The only exceptions are:

Now this needs a bit of elaboration.

No Caption Provided

Now before you get the idea of Alucard will even get to control Alex's mind.

I was not gonna argue that, since he never used it in combat.

No. Alex doesn't only beat Alucard in Brute strength, but also durability, destructive capacity, invulnerability and regeneration can be argued

Invulnerability is pointless, since they can both hurt the other, it will come down to regen. In which Alucard is ridiculously better. Also, his speed advantage make him near untouchable for Mercer.

I've shown that Alex is also a casual bullet timer and a high level hyper sonic. Being capable of dodging an anti-tank missile.

Was addressed, casual bullet timing is something Hellsing verse fodders do while sipping coffee and reading the morning news paper. The hypersonic feat was a mistake on your part.

Isn't Alucard getting turned to paste cost him 1 soul? Because I think it does.

Was addressed, it does not. Anything that isn't a heart stab, which is needed to kill vampires, is something he can just regenerate from at no cost.

Plues what's stopping Alex from consuming him?

You want a list?

* Alucard being a part magical being, something which Alex has not shown to be able to consume

* Alucard being faster

* Alex needing to severely damage beings stronger than regular humans and infected if he wants to consume them

* A combination of those things

Not to mention that Alex can simply lay bits of masses of him around the environment, just in case his current mass gets wiped out.

Given Alucard's senses, both natural and supernatural, that is not going to work. He tracks down every single part of Alex and just consumes it, or keep him down indefinitely. That would be a victory via incap, if Alex is unable to regenerate.

His hell dog can get easily one-shot by Alex.

How?

And Alex's infected from Hunter to above can pretty beat it was well.

How?

Common misconception and PIS. If a crow in Prototype 1 was enough to for Mercer to regenerate from a puddle to his fully powered self in moments, then his Biomass reserves should be more than capable of allowing Alex to heal thousands of times over without having plot tamper to hinder them. I mean if him getting a crow was enough to put him back at peak capacity him consuming his 7 Evolved should have easily made him impossible to even take out. But then again..The power of plot was too much.

Claiming PIS is not always without reason, but a bit lame in this case. The crow case shows Alex's regeneration is not limitless, unlike Alucard's. Mercer has shown both ingame and in story he can regenerate from minor damage (bullet holes, losing limbs) on his own reserves, but being turned to bloody mush requires him to get biomass, even if it is a little. Sure, he might have reserves, but having reserves =/= unlimited regen.

So yeah. If Mercer knows that he has to kill Alucard those many times

How would he know this?

No matter how long the battle might last. For Weeks. To Months. To even years.

He is not gonna last that long against Alucard, trust me ;)

Not gonna comment on all your conclusion since most has been disproven in my own comment.

Alucard will toy with Alex since they're both morals on. While Alex will simply charge at Alucard and attempt to quickly consume or eviscerate Alucard.

Alucard loves a good fight, but he also dislikes freaks and has resorted to blitzing or finishing fights rather quickly. Also, since his speed is > Mercer's and consumption is very unlikely, this is not a strategy Mercer can result to.

Conclusions

* Mercer has no knowledge on Alucard and thus he is fighting a losing battle, since he does not know his only technique for killing Alucard is heart stab

* His regen, while good, is not limitless. Alucard's is.

* Mercer cannot tag Alucard, let alone make an attempt at consuming him

* Alucard's familiars are not biological mass, and thus cannot be consumed by Mercer. They are gonna give him hell

* Alucard weapons, and those of his familiars, can definitely hurt him

* Attempts to regen from anything smaller than subatomic level will immediately be crushed by Alucard. Or he can just wear him down to level of stain on the sidewalk and then let his dog turn him into shit.

So yeah, Mercer winning?

It's totally Ok. There's no need to apologize. I'm the one that should be sorry. I thought that you finished it. And I was a bit anxious. So I'm to blame.

I know this is a CAV and good luck to you both but...

"Faster than Alucard."

Oh my sides.

Well to elaborate I didn't say that Mercer is completely faster than Alucard. He has the edge on a certain category.

My turn to counter.

Work in progress

Alright, time for a first round of counters

"That was a very good try. However... I cannot be killed by dogs. It takes a man in order to kill a monster!"

Counters

While Alucard does have some exotic abilities that will help him greatly in the course of this battle but his physical disadvantage will be his undoing.

As is very often the case in VS threads, a mere stat advantage is not gonna give a combatant the win.

In this case it does. Alucard has literately no way of doing any sort of serious damage to Alex. Unlike Alucard's body Mercer doesn't get eviscerated by bullets or gets kicked in half.

Brute strength still helps. Like you said. Getting impaled on the heart or decapitation are the only ways to kill/take out one of Alucard's lives. No Problem for Alex!

No Caption Provided

Alex has the sufficient force packed behind his easy base punches to go through Alucard like tissue paper. You cannot deny this. Mercer with his bare hands can decapitate, eviscerate, impale Alucard.

And plus getting turned into paste also costs him a live. So yes. Alucard will loose a good portion of his souls with Mercer's base form alone.

Moving on:

What are you even talking about? I never any said about "not liking" that certain feat. It will be more likely that Alucard won't even use the TK during this battle since he never used it offensively in the first place. But I agree. Let's move on.

Again. Like I said before. That was Alex Mercer in Prototype 1 during Gameplay sprinting. While Lore and Cutscene verse Alex easily surpasses that. 100-150 Km/h range? No. It's way above that. The fact that you're trying to calculate only a small video representation in which I've shown you about Prototype 1 Alex's agility makes me chuckle. I haven't put any sort of conclusion, compared Alex's speed to Heller's,calculations.

Loading Video...

6:55-Even though with physical insulation and Dana not even being able to hear it herself. Alex can hear the Leader Hunter coming while it was a few blocks away from them.

7:25-From here Alex keeps up on a chase with the Leader Hunter, who easily outruns cars and Helicopters.

14:10-Mercer gets hit by a barrage of hellfire missiles and only wears him down and gives the Leader Hunter a chance to get away. Not even Blackwatch with their Apache Helicopters can't keep up with it.

Not to mention, the actual description on Alex's speed says that he is Hyper Sonic on reaction. And minimally Sub-Sonic. In which he is easily above.

Alex's speed is at least Subsonic+, possibly Supersonic+ (casually outran UH-60 Blackhawk by the end of the story accelerating and seems to create small sonic booms just at the beginning of the game), Hypersonic+reactions/attack speed (easily blocks M-60 Grenade Launcher and dodges tank shells)

I will repeat myself again.

Alucard has the edge on reaction. But in running speed he is easily dwarfed.

Yes it will. That shows agility. And Agility combined with speed, can get you to a lot of places. And it will help a lot.

Impressive.Moving as a blurr. Something Mercer can easily do.

This is actually not such a great feat as a minigun operated by a human, especially on a helicopter, is not known for its accuracy.

Now, the javeline feats are pretty decent, and I am not gonna argue Mercer is not a super sonic dodger. Then again, Hellsing fodder is has shown casual super sonic dodging feats, fodder who Alucard and Anderson have for breakfast. Alucard himself has shown to be hypersonic.

The Prototype Verse easily depicts Blackwatch personnel as excelling Marksmen. So there is no way that you can't say that they aren't good on their unit. Blackwatch is pretty strict and brutal on their rankings and assignments. And to even be a part of Blackwatch people had to go through some serious tests.

Not to mention that Alex's kill streak easily surpasses Alucard in Prototype 1.

It is specifically stated in the news in Prototype 2 that Alex has killed more than 3 millions people in less than a 21 days during the first outbreak alone. Lol 21 days. The Humor on Radical Entertainment.

3,000,000 divided by 21= 142,857 people a day.

Divide that by 24 hours

5,952 people an hour

divide that by 60 minutes

And it's roughly a 100 people a minute

That is fast, Crazy fast. This strengthens my Faster than sound speed argument.

Alex blocked an M-60 Grenade Launcher at close range. But of course the M-60 doesn't exactly exist. And it was based off the M79 Grenade Launcher. So I will use that as base data here.

Muzzle velocity76 m/s (247 ft/s)

76 m/s= 170.007158 miles per hour

He reacted to a explosive round and blocked it at a close range. And his body wasn't even fazed by it.

Mercer's body is pretty darn strong to fend off the explosion without getting a single scratch or damage.Something that Alucards body would suffer great injury.

Alex is very well above Alucard's fodder. They can keep up and catch cars. That's cool. But they never outran Helicopters. Never. And they never reacted to something at Mach 2. In Which Mercer easily reacts to.

-Since we're using Prototype 2 Mercer this is sort of irrelevant. Especially since Alex demonstrated that he is superior to Heller in speed on a few occasions.

-When Alex starts sprinting the sheer force of him sprinting causes a small schockwave and shatters concrete behind him as he launches. This could be him going with enough force to try and break the sound berrier.

-But the interesting thing is when Heller starts sprinting. You can see him leave a massive ring behind him every time he sprints. This cannot be argued to be a effect. This could be Heller breaking the sound beerier. It might not look like it due to gameplay limitations in terms of speed.

Low Level Alex Mercer Speed Calculation

On the OBD, they provided a link explaining how fast Alex can go. He is invisible to the human-eye at top-speed:

it has to do more with the refresh rate of your eyes and the angular velocity of the object in reference to your eyes. the human eye can detect a flicker at around 60 Hz, that means the human eye can detect something moving in front of it in as little as 16 milliseconds. so if an object crosses your field of vision in less than 16 millisecondsyou probably wont see it. Now why does angular velocity have anything to do with it? because angular velocity is related to the distance from your eyes. if something is 1ft away from your eyes, you have about a 3 foot field of vision, and the object only needs to cover 3 feet in 16 milliseconds. thats about 275 MPH. if the object is 100 miles away though, the object has to travel a few hundred miles in that same 16milliseconds. that's why you can see shooting stars and things in space travelling at thousands of miles an hour, but you cannot see a bullet.

Here is the quote taken from that link:

Actually, do you have any idea what the dimensions of the map are? I actually time how long it takes Mercer to run the entire length of the single longest piece of road in the game, which is basically the entire length of the map. Even getting bodychecked by a Hunter, and the streets littered with traffic and car wrecks and endless crowds of screaming civillians, I made the run in three minutes, ten seconds.

Given that the map in Prototype 1 is supposed to be a recreation of Manhattan, it should be 13.4 miles long and 2.3 miles wide.

That's rather impressive for a flat run.

4.6 Miles per minute, which is then multiplied by 60 = 276 MPH

The fact that the person was getting stalled and beaten by hunters along the way makes this calculation inaccurate. And it's a minimum of Alex's speed. But it does prove how Alex can easily speed blitz Humans on a daily baisis without them even noticing it. But still innacuarte. So I tried it myself.

I repeated this more than 8 times to fully confirm my result.

I couldn't even get a clear run without a single Hunter slowing me down and rocket launchers blowing me back. But my fastest run was made it in2 minutes 22 seconds.

13,40 divided by 2.2= 6.0 miles per minute

6 miles per minute, multiplied by 60= 360 Mph. Now this is more accurate. Especially since Alex outruns Apache and Blackhawk Helicopters.

Apache Top Speed=293 km/h

UH-60 Blackhawk Top Speed= 294 km/h

So Prototype 1 Alex's true speed has to be at least above 360 Mph.

Prototype 2 Alex Mercer:

360 Mph x 2= 720 Mph. Near as fast as the speed of sound. Even though realistically Mercer is 'well above what I just calculated I'm going to keep it like this until I put in more speed feats.

RegimeMachknotsmphkm/hm/sGeneral plane characteristics
Subsonic<0.8<530<609<980<273Most often propeller-driven and commercialturbofan aircraft with high aspect-ratio (slender) wings, and rounded features like the nose and leading edges.
Transonic0.8-1.2530-794609-914980-1,470273-409Transonic aircraft nearly always have swept wings, causing the delay of drag-divergence, and often feature a design that adheres to the principles of the Whitcomb Area rule.

So for now. Mercer is a confirmed Minimal Transonic+ in running and movement speed. Faster than Alucard.

And if we take The Video I posted above in terms of Alex's speed in comparison to Heller. Mercer is easily above 820 Mph in movement speed. Super Sonic+ to be more exact.

But let's keep it sub sonic for now.

I can't show Alex isn't concretely doing it. Because:

  1. It's Heller that does this feat. And since Alex is Superior to Heller in all manner of speed so I can use that as a example.
  2. Super Soldiers are capable of deflecting or catching missiles from Javeline missile launchers using just their arms at any range. And can send it back at Mercer. This method makes the rocket launchers prove useless in dealing damage to super soldiers.
Loading Video...

5:50-You can see Heller redirect a missile back at it's sender.

I will keep these as Mercer's current speed feat for now. Even though there is more impressive ones to be showed.

Diffenetly sloppy lol. I apologize.

So yeah, conclusion:

* Alex's movement speed is several orders of magnitudes below Alucard.

Yeah...No....Again. You have shown me nothing in running speed that beats Alex's speed other than reaction.

* His reactions are supersonic, mach 1 - 2, maybe 5 if you manage to prove so. Alucard's are 6 times higher at least.

I can agree that Alucard is Superior to Mercer on reaction but on movement speed he is trumped.

I think you're vastly underestimating Mercer's durability especially regen. Not to mention that Body armor can easily withstand bullets to a certain threshold. And Mercer takes tank shells. Which are a 20x way more tougher and destructive than Alucard's Jackal.

Mercer getting shot in a cutscene while in disguise.
Mercer getting shot in a cutscene while in disguise.

He get's shot to the head here. Pretends to die. Then later instantly regens at will from said hole to the face. And also.

Loading Video...

4:51-You can clearly see Alex getting shot rapidly in the head, to no avail. He ain't got no Brains!

And what gives you the idea that the Jackal will even pierce something tougher than Graphene? Something that can easily harden itself to the point where it wouldn't even feel a single blow from Alucard?

Speed can only get you so far...So far you haven't shown me on how Alucard will remotely even hurt Mercer other than annoy him. And I didn't even use Alex's amps and other shape shifting abilities. Barely even used his high tier feats. Speed is the only place where Alucard can feel comfortable. But almost anywhere else, Mercer has him beaten down to the ground.

Alucard gets impaled Vlade the Impaler style thousands of times over till he gives Mercer the right to his technique or simply dies.
Alucard gets impaled Vlade the Impaler style thousands of times over till he gives Mercer the right to his technique or simply dies.

Of course he can. But the arms give him ridiculous range, seeing as how he attacked vampires from dozens of feet away, which gives him a range advantage over Mercer .

Not Really. His Whipfist still gives him an edge.

What have hunters and a knife done that puts them above Alucard's arms?

Uhm...I don´t know. Eviscerated Tanks. Bust through Helicopters just by Jumping through it. Taking Tank Shells. Yeah I'm pretty that puts them easily above Alucard's arms.

Now all those reasons are only related to the healing stop factor, which indeed might not work because of the difference in their healing factor. But then again, that is hardly the worst of Alex's problems. He is gonna get cut to ribbons by them.

Cut to Ribbons by something that can cut through a tank shell? While Alex deflects tank shells and easily takes almost no damage from them.

  • The actual tank Variations. In Prototype Alex faces during the franchise. Since their based off the actual Abram Tanks

The Standard M1 Abrams Tanks you find and face within the games

M1, M1A1: Burlington composite armor

M1A2: depleted uranium mesh-reinforced composite armor

M4 Sherman Tanks

Prototype 2: Composite Armor and modified M1 Abrams Tanks

Thermobarric Tanks.

Bradley APCs and a lot more.

Being able to cut said material with your body alone does make you as durable with said metal. Not to mention that Alex is many tons way more durable than a tank. He isn't using any other object or anything to assist him in doing so. He is using his own strength and pure body strength and durability to do so. Or else if he tried to cut his has would probably break or his blade would shatter.

But yet again,Alex takes out multiple Tanks at once with no problem. Takes a good variation of those Tanks shells with barely any damage. So yes, It is confirmed and implied by the game and develeper's itself that Mercer's durability>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Tank's durability.

This is not proven in the slightest, since this is ABC logic.

It's not ABC logic. It's facts. I have stated things that backs this up. Mercer's durability,Alex's body strength. His cell, his material breakdown. All of it that proves that Alex is truly tougher than Graphene.

It is indeed interesting somehow he can absorb a soldier's clothing and make it his own, when he takes someone's identity. This is however:

* clearly done for gameplay purposes

* largely irrelevant in this combat scenario, especially due to the lack of people

* does not prove anything in the way of durability

  • Gameplay purposes? I feel like you're scraping the bottom of the barrel here. There are many cutscenes of the Game and even the Comic that Alex absorbs Tech along with it's victim. You know that. And he can perfectly replicate them. Heck. Even the Supreme Hunter Consumed Cross. A guy with way better tech and better armor than any Human soldier on Blackwatch. And he perfectly replicates them as well. The Helmet. Radio. Alex consumes a Blackwatch soldier and replicates the exact sound that comes off the suit. Perfectly replicates the function of a radio. The light of the visors ect..
  • I wasn't using this as how it will help on the battle. All I'm saying that Alex can consume more than just Organic. Non living organics and tech play a good part on his consumption.
  • Yes it does. You're trying to fling this away. You haven't shown me that anything on Alucard's Asenal that will remotely even hurt Alex. All you've been focusing on his speed. Because that's the only are where you know that Alucard can beat.

  • They have blood? So that means that they still have cells. Because they simply don't have the color red as random liquid every time it comes out after a wound. And they still have mass. They're still organic and are still originating from Alucard's fully organic body.
  • Their stats pale in comparison to a Hunter. Very Much less a Juggernaut. In which both Alex and Heller easily tear apart.
No Caption Provided
  • In which Alex one-shots easily. And the thing that Alex needs to beat a person within an inch of their life to consume is also a lie.
Mercer can consume a man with a mere touch from his finger in less than a second
Mercer can consume a man with a mere touch from his finger in less than a second

*Due to their "Stats" this is what will most likely happen to them. The fact that Mercer can easily punch through Alucard. It will take no effort to do the same to his Familiars. Not to mention that those Familiars aren't as durable as Alucard. Both will be one-shot by Alex's infected and himself will easily leave Alucard for a world of pain.

  • This still remains to be proven. So far you haven't shown me anything that those vampires are faster than Alex other than reaction. And Alucard is the only one with those feats that you showed and like the actual Helsing Universe goes. Alucard beats every vampire there on every stat. You have barely given me any feat for reaction or durability on Van Winkle. And The Dandyman easily got his arm slashed in half by Alucard when he augmented his strength on Level 1. Reacting to point blank bullets and an anti tank riffle is impressive. But still Mercer still does better. You are relying on the speed too much and barely giving any sort of thought on the actual speed of their movement other than reaction.

That is a cool ability but irrelevant since he does not have prep.

This does not need prep-time. This has happened to Alex multiple times on the Comic. Every time he traveled around the world Mercer laid a bit of his mass on each country just in case he wanted to "Respawn". He does not need prep to do it. He simply does it when he feels like it.

You want a list?

* Alucard being a part magical being, something which Alex has not shown to be able to consume

* Alucard being faster

* Alex needing to severely damage beings stronger than regular humans and infected if he wants to consume them

* A combination of those things

  • He hasn't shown to be able? Now you're making stuff up. There is nothing shown that Alex can't consume Alucard. Alucard still has organs. He still has nerves in his body. And he still has blood. So yeah. Still partially organic. More than enough for Mercer to easily consume.
  • Alucard has never shown any resistance to having his body eviscerated and consumed.
  • Reaction yes. Movement and Running no. Please show me feats of him being faster on movement and running.
  • Stronger than regular humans? You mean like Walkers? In which Alex instantly consumes with a touch.Yeah no. He also one-shots Hunters. And can instantly consume them. Even Alex was capable of instantly absorbing 7 Super Human Evolved all at once, without wearing them down or hurting them in any sort of way. He simply consumed them instantly.

Well..

No Caption Provided

The Supreme hunter easily regenerated a hand in few seconds from a mere puddle and Alex consumed the Supreme Hunter so.....Yeah. it is confirmed..Mercer can regenerate from a puddle on his own.

Given Alucard's senses, both natural and supernatural, that is not going to work. He tracks down every single part of Alex and just consumes it, or keep him down indefinitely. That would be a victory via incap, if Alex is unable to regenerate.

Hold on there. It's believable that this will happen but will be highly unlikely due to Alex always attacking Alucard,he will be too worried on how to take Mercer out than considering to scan the environment.

How?

Uhm..I don't know...Walter easily cut it in half. Killed it.

And Alex's infected from Hunter to above can pretty beat it was well.

How?

I don't know. Punching them. Slashing their face open. Eating them alive. Your pick. They aren't durable enough to even withstand a hail of bullets. While Mercer's infected easily are.

It does not show. It proves that Mercer's regen is not limitless But Mercer's actual healing speed is. That is something that I have adressed multiple times. The fact that Mercer was a pile of goo is impressive since he wasn't dead. it shows that even when you reduce Mercer to a bloody scrape of mass. It still shows that Alex is more than capable of still living. And regenerating on his own. And it was PIS. You can see that Mercer with just a crow regenerated to full power. But still a bit of dismemberment was enough to take wear him down? When you look at facts it doesn't make any sense. We are judging these characters at their prime here and I will not let some convoluted PIS Boss Battle cloud your judgment. I have barely gone deep into Alex's abilities and I'm playing your healing and speed game here. And you're loosing on the speed.

This is where you are wrong. Unfortunately for Mercer, Alucard losing a soul happens only under very specific stipulations. He needs to be stabbed in the heart. Anything else does not make him lose a soul. He will regenerate from it.

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570512-03.png

This is confirmed by Walter, who knows how Alucard's regeneration works. Even though Alucard has no souls left in his body at this point, he is not dead yet despite losing all his limbs and litres of blood.

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570513-10+%281%29.png

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3570514-10+%282%29.png

The whole plan of Millenium hinged on getting Alucard to release all souls from his castle/coffin. Then, when he had no more souls at his disposal, they would stab him in the heart.

http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111131174/3351627-.alucard+healing+thanks+to+millions+of+free+lives+vol+10+%282%29.png

Ergo, Mercer has to stab Alucard in the heart, thousands upon thousands of times, to kill him. An impossible task, especially given the fact Mercer does not even have this piece of information. Not that he could do it if he knows about Alucard's weakness, because he is not gonna last long enough to even kill him twice.

Mercer will have this sort of information soon enough. Trust me.

How would he know this?

Consuming. Or as the Battle progresses. Mercer isn't considered the smartest in his Universe for nothing.

He is not gonna last that long against Alucard, trust me ;)

Is there anything you'd like to show me on Mercer will even get hurt by Alucard. Because so far you have been using the Jackal as trump card for Mercer's durability and that still isn't enough.Or even close.

Not gonna comment on all your conclusion since most has been disproven in my own comment.

Not they haven't. You keep insisting on you're point. That Alex will get hurt by the Jackal just because of one instance that it almost shot off Anderson's arms. Which is enough to take Assault riffles and SMG Bullets. Not to mention that Alucard's Cassul. His regular pistol easily penetrated Anderson's head. But he regenerated that's why he survived. Then later those arms block those same bullets. This shows that Anderson merely has great resistance on his arms. And a Jackal was a small pick me up. Impressive for someone on Alucard's Universe but seriously unimpressive within the Prototype Universe. Heck, Cross's body armor is a lot better than Anderson's arm. Since he litearly took a punch from Alex and survived. Took hits from a Runner and Walkers.

Mercer's body is strong enough to take explosions. 120 mm tank rounds and tank shells with no visible damage. You keep insisting on the Jackal hurting him without even comparing it to a Tank. Shell. What is it suppose to do? Is it tougher than a Tank shell? No! There is no instance within the Helsing Universe that it was stated to be a strong as one or even stronger. Please stop insisting that it will hurt Alex since it barely has the necessary power to do so. Not to mention that Walter said it himself. That the Jackal was made to beat Anderson while he was fighting Alucard. Not to mention that the Jackal's bullets were easily getting cut off by Walter's wires.

Alucard loves a good fight, but he also dislikes freaks and has resorted to blitzing or finishing fights rather quickly. Also, since his speed is > Mercer's and consumption is very unlikely, this is not a strategy Mercer can result to.

Please stop insisting on this. In Reaction Alucard beats Mercer. I know that. I admit that. You've proven that. But I will repeat myself. You haven't shown not even the slightest in how Alucard's actual running speed is even comparable to Alex's. You have shown me nothing that will even make a speed blitz possible for Alex. Alex is the one who has the Superior Running and movement speed. Unless you have something that put's Alucard's actual movement speed feat above Mach 5 there is no chance in Hell that Alucard can even hope to speed blitz Alex. I have been playing defensive. Holding back a lot of Alex's feats. Seeing on what Alucard can offer. And I'm not impressed. Not by the slightest. And Morals on Alucard will easily play around with Alex thinking that he is just another regular vampire or super human. And Alex will think that he is just some random weirdo on the street and go for a speed blitz, and consumes Alucard.

Conclusions

* Mercer has no knowledge on Alucard and thus he is fighting a losing battle, since he does not know his only technique for killing Alucard is heart stab

He will know via consumption or as the battle goes on. Since he literately has no way of hurting him,

* His regen, while good, is not limitless. Alucard's is.

As long as he has souls. In which he will be loosing fast. Or simply gets consumed.

* Mercer cannot tag Alucard, let alone make an attempt at consuming him

Until you prove that he is faster than Mercer on every category other than reaction please stop saying this.

* Alucard's familiars are not biological mass, and thus cannot be consumed by Mercer. They are gonna give him hell

Oh yes they will be consumed. They still bleed. They are still organic. Not to mention that Walter cut the Hound in half and bit bled. And used it as a puppet to fight Alucard. Along with Luke Valentine that he was still alive inside him. Still living mass inside Alucard. And the fact that they come from Alucard's organic body strengthens this.

* Alucard weapons, and those of his familiars, can definitely hurt him

No. You haven't shown anything that will even hurt Alex in any form. Prove this or you're literally making assumption without having any sort of feat to back it up.

* Attempts to regen from anything smaller than subatomic level will immediately be crushed by Alucard. Or he can just wear him down to level of stain on the sidewalk and then let his dog turn him into shit.

I didn't get the first part. Uhm.. Luke Valentine was still Alive even after the Dog ate him. So Alex consumes him if that even happens. Which is impossible given Alucard's extremely low ways of harming Alex.

To my conclusion:

  • You haven't shown that the Jackal how even Alucard himself or his Familiars have the sufficient force to even put a scratch on Mercer
  • Mercer's healing factor at it's peak will allow for him to heal from anything thousands of times over.
  • Alucard's thing that only trumps Alex is reaction. Other than that he is beaten everywhere else.
  • Alucard's familiars are still a massive liability.
  • Alucard's Familiars will be easily one-shot.
  • Effortless punches from Alex will tear apart Alucard.
  • Mercer will consume Alucard.
  • Alucard is incapable of speed blitzing Alex
  • Alex's movement speed still trumps Alucard.

You are relying on Alucard's speed too much. As if that will give you the win. You're ignoring the facts I've stated on Alex's durability and speed and strength. You're assuming that he won't get tagged. That a blow from Alucard will tear Alex apart. That the Jackal will actually do something, that he will speed blitz Alex without providing any sort feat or context or even taking what I showed you into consideration.

None of that will happen. You haven't proven anything here. I have barely showed 26% of Alex's capabilities and I feel like you're grasping straws to keep up. That just makes me sad.

Every single feat I have posted. Had context to back it up,the game's lore, feats and characters. Even my assumption of Alex being stronger than Graphene had great amount of proof. Please try harder my friend. Because I feel that you're holding back on me.

Alucard gets consumed. He is seriously overrated.

"Yes...excellent! I haven't had this much fun in ages!"

In this case it does. Alucard has literately no way of doing any sort of serious damage to Alex. Unlike Alucard's body Mercer doesn't get eviscerated by bullets

Mercer is not totally impervious to bullets. It is clearly shown in gameplay he takes a small amount of damage from them. You can unload mags into him with little effect, sure, but he is not totally bullet proof.

Same can be said for Alucard.

Loading Video...

Gets filled with hundreds upon hundreds of bullets with little effect.

gets kicked in half.

Yeah, by the Captain, who uses multi-ton missiles for soccer practice.

getting impaled on the heart or decapitation are the only ways to kill/take out one of Alucard's lives. No Problem for Alex!

Yes problem for Alex. First off, decapitation will not work. Heart stab only. Literal "drive a stake or your arm right through his heart" heart stab. Stupidly specific, sure, but that's how vampirism works. And without said knowledge, Mercer will not even put a dent into Alucard's thousands of lives, that is if he can catch him in the first place.

You cannot deny this. Mercer with his bare hands can decapitate, eviscerate, impale Alucard.

Of course he can. Except that won't do anything unless he punches him in the left upper corner of his chest. 300.000 times.

And plus getting turned into paste also costs him a live.

This is, again, wrong. It's like you do not even read.

The fact that you're trying to calculate only a small video representation in which I've shown you about Prototype 1 Alex's agility makes me chuckle.

I chuckle at the notion of you failing to post accurate feats and then trying to mock me if I try to use actual calcs, which you have yet to do. Posting a list of armor or shell types is not a calc or a feat.

7:25-From here Alex keeps up on a chase with the Leader Hunter, who easily outruns cars and Helicopters.

Except that hunter barely runs faster than said cars going at roughly 100 - 150 km/hour if we are being VERY generous. I find it unlikely a car driving through a busy Manhattan street will be going faster than that.

14:10-Mercer gets hit by a barrage of hellfire missiles and only wears him down and gives the Leader Hunter a chance to get away. Not even Blackwatch with their Apache Helicopters can't keep up with it.

We do not see what happens after Alex gets hit by said missiles, so this is conjecture.

But in running speed he is easily dwarfed.

Using what calc you posted exactly? Right.

Impressive.Moving as a blurr. Something Mercer can easily do.

Ok, show me a feat of Alex Mercer moving fte while running vertically up wall

The Prototype Verse easily depicts Blackwatch personnel as excelling Marksmen. So there is no way that you can't say that they aren't good on their unit. Blackwatch is pretty strict and brutal on their rankings and assignments. And to even be a part of Blackwatch people had to go through some serious tests.

How is this an answer to my statement that Hellsing fodder are casual bullet dodgers? It isn't. And if you insist, The Wild Geese are an elite group of mercenaries, with world wide fame. And Hellsing fodder dodges their automatic gunfire, not out in the open like Mercer, but in a small hallway. So yeah, in terms of dodging/reaction, Alex Mercer = Hellsing verse fodder like Nazi vampires and unblooded Seras Victoria.

Oh jeez, where to start with this one. This calc is too absurd for words.

* I do not remember that news bulletin at all, so you can look it up for me. The only quote I remember is Alex Mercer saying "One Virus, three weeks, millions dead...and I was there. My name is Alex Mercer, and my work is almost done."

* Even if such a bulletin exists, Alex would be indirectly responsible for the dead of all those people, with him releasing the virus and all. 3 million people have died in total, by being infected by the virus, directly slain by hunters, etc.

* Since Manhattan is only home to about 1,6 million people, I find this whole number an asspull, even keeping in mind all the people who died due to hunters, infected and what not.

* Even if (hahaha) that calc would be trustworthy, it is not as impressive. Drop me in a busy place with Alex and with the Claws, and I hack multiple people to pieces every second.

Alex blocked an M-60 Grenade Launcher at close range.

Oh, so we are back to reaction feats now without you proving Alex is faster than 150 km/h in running speed?

76 m/s= 170.007158 miles per hour

Which is so much more below Rip's mach 30 bullet I wonder why you even brought it up.

Mercer's body is pretty darn strong to fend off the explosion without getting a single scratch or damage.Something that Alucards body would suffer great injury.

Good thing he has unlimited regen. And it would depend on the explosion honestly, Alucard has tanked grenades exploding in his face with a smile.

And they never reacted to something at Mach 2.

Now I know you are being sloppy

Loading Video...

Dodges assault rifle fire (mach 2 - 2.5) from 4 trained mercenaries in a narrow corridor while sprinting towards said opponents

Let's do another one for funsies.

Loading Video...

Despite not knowing said mercenary was there, they jumped in front of Zorin AFTER the mercenary opened fire and easily blocked the bullets meant for her.

This could be him going with enough force to try and break the sound berrier.

Shoulda woulda coulda. I want to see actual calculations like I did for Alucard, calcs which you did not comment on at all so I will just assume you have no answer to them. Alex has to top 170 m/s at least, or he is slower in movement speed, no matter how much you whine about it being untrue.

I am gonna go straight to your speed conclusion.

I couldn't even get a clear run without a single Hunter slowing me down and rocket launchers blowing me back. But my fastest run was made it in2 minutes 22 seconds.

13,40 divided by 2.2= 6.0 miles per minute

Now this is totally meaningless unless you show me the footage. You can write just about anything here.

6 miles per minute, multiplied by 60= 360 Mph. Now this is more accurate. Especially since Alex outruns Apache and Blackhawk Helicopters.

And what is to say said black hawks can fly at top speed while navigating Manhattan? Can you show me an actual feat of a Blackhawk flying at its maximum speed and Alex outpacing it?

Apache Top Speed=293 km/h

UH-60 Blackhawk Top Speed= 294 km/h

So Prototype 1 Alex's true speed has to be at least above 360 Mph.

Hardly, it means that IF you can prove Alex runs faster than a Blackhawk, he is at least above 294 km/h. And hate to break it to you, but 294 km/h (not miles, since I feel like you are confusing the two) is 83,33 meters per second. Alucard's LOW calc is 170+ m/sec, over double as fast.

Prototype 2 Alex Mercer:

360 Mph x 2= 720 Mph.

And if we take The Video I posted above in terms of Alex's speed in comparison to Heller. Mercer is easily above 820 Mph in movement speed. Super Sonic+ to be more exact.

And why did his speed suddenly double for no reason?

Using said comparison to compare Heller and Alex is full with faulty logic. The paths are very different, they are filled with different obstacles, It does not account for the player murking up. Unless you show me a fight/race or something between Alex and James where Alex shows superior speed, I am not inclined to believe he is faster.

Your title "Low end speed calculation" should be "highest possible speed I can give to Mercer using faulty comparisons". And even with wank turned up to 11, he barely passes a mid end calc for Alcuard. I calculated his top speed at 500+ meters/ second, way faster than Mercer's 367 m/sec. So even if we are going to take all your fan fiction as truth, it is still not enough.

It's Heller that does this feat.

Then it is irrelevant since the comparison between Mercer and Heller is weak.

Super Soldiers are capable of deflecting or catching missiles from Javeline missile launchers using just their arms at any range. And can send it back at Mercer. This method makes the rocket launchers prove useless in dealing damage to super soldiers.

How is this relevant? Javelines move in the mach 2 range, we established Alucard has mach 30+ reaction feats.

I will keep these as Mercer's current speed feat for now.

Now you are acting like this is a movement speed feat, which it is not

Let's just list a comparison between Alucard and Alex mercer to keep track

Speeds

SpeedsAlucardAlex Mercer
Movement speed

Low end: 172 m/sec. High end: at least 500 m/sec

Blitzes opponents easily dodging mach 2 - 2.5 fire

Faster than a moving car on a busy street, presumably 100 - 150 km/h (no real calculation provided), roughly 40 m/s

High end estimate, mostly conjecture: 367 m/s

Blitzes humans

Reacted to

Low end: mach 30, High end: Mach 109

(note that he also caught said bullet, so he moved his body fast enough to catch it in his teeth while it made a pass)

Mach 2.5 (proven) - mach 5 (unproven) projectiles

So yeah, for all your so called calcs, you are back where you started

Yeah...No....Again. You have shown me nothing in running speed that beats Alex's speed other than reaction.

Yeah... No... I beg to differ.

And Mercer takes tank shells.

Show me him tanking a tank shell with no damage.

Which are a 20x way more tougher and destructive than Alucard's Jackal.

And you are basing that specific number on what? I really am beginning to feel you have a liking for making up numbers.

He get's shot to the head here. Pretends to die. Then later instantly regens at will from said hole to the face.

How is this impressive? Alucard instantly regens from getting his head chopped off and while he is doing it and can't even see, he shoots back.

Loading Video...

Speed can only get you so far...So far you haven't shown me on how Alucard will remotely even hurt Mercer other than annoy him.

* Shoot him with the Jackall

* Pepper him with regular bullets (since Mercer also takes damage from soldier AR's)

* Use Rip's bullet

* Use Dandy cards

* Use his arms of doom

* Eat him with Baskerville hound

^ Pick your poison.

and I didn't even use Alex's amps and other shape shifting abilities. Barely even used his high tier feats.

Then it is time you start using those, because we are halfway through the debate and I am majorly unimpressed.

Speed is the only place where Alucard can feel comfortable. But almost anywhere else, Mercer has him beaten down to the ground.

I am glad we agree Alucard is faster.

Alucard gets impaled Vlade the Impaler style thousands of times over till he gives Mercer the right to his technique or simply dies.

Oh no, that thing that pierced a slow moving APC is obviously too fast for Alucard to dodge. And it's not like Alucard can take on a shadow form and just regenerate around it. I guess that is checkmate.

Not Really. His Whipfist still gives him an edge.

Alucard has way more ranged options

* Both guns

* Arms

* Rip's bullet

* Cards

* Hellhound

Mercer has his slow moving whip, which Alucard can just dodge.

Uhm...I don´t know. Eviscerated Tanks. Bust through Helicopters just by Jumping through it. Taking Tank Shells. Yeah I'm pretty that puts them easily above Alucard's arms.

Not entirely sure about that. Making guys who tank AR fire look like wet tissue paper is not that bad.

While Alex deflects tank shells and easily takes almost no damage from them.

I have yet to see a legit feat of him deflecting a tank shell, and not you saying he can. And Alex takes enough damage from tank shells that it can take up a good portion of his health, as well as throw him to the floor.

Being able to cut said material with your body alone does make you as durable with said metal.

This is simply not true. Martial artists can break whole number of things by using special techniques with their hands. Their hands are not more durable than bricks. A small objects in space at the proper speed can tear right through a satellite. Durability is not a simple X vs Y calculation.

Furthermore, Alex does not one-shot tanks by his own body, he uses his specialised weapons. And even then the only move that can one-shot a tank is a elbow drop with the hammer thingy, iirc. His blade and claws need multiple moves to destroy a tank.

I wonder why he takes damage from AR fire then. Grenade launchers and javelines take a good chunk of his damage as well.

All of it that proves that Alex is truly tougher than Graphene.

Nope, you have proved jack shit.

* Mercer takes small chunks of damage from punches from infected and AR fire

* He takes chunks of damage from grenade launchers and Javelines. He tanked a grenade launcher in your clip by reacting to it and using his blade to block. If it hits him square in the face though, he takes damage.

* He takes a fair amount of damage from tank shells, which are less durable than Dandy cards might I add. Tank shells have uranium tips, Dandy cards cut through that like cardboard.

So yeah, you are vastly overestimating his durability.

Gameplay purposes?

I am not scraping the bottom of the barrel though, since lots of gamers have commented on this inconsistency. Alex's own "clothes" are altered biomass according to the developers, so if he consumes someone it is not weird to think he can replicate their clothes.

Of course you could argue that since the he absorbs tech he can absorb inorganic matter too. But then why does he have to consume living beings to regain health? Why not consume corpses? Cars? Bricks? Illogical. Developers stated Alex needs to consume LIVING biomass to regain health.

I say the choice to let Alex just use the tech he gets off absorbed soldiers is for gameplay purposes. It goes against the surrounding lore and his own abilities, and the way they explain how biomass works.

Also, we can either be somewhat critical of gameplay related choices or we can't be. And if we aren't critical, Mercer can basically be killed by regular human infected and a few guys with AR's.

They have blood? So that means that they still have cells.

So? That doesn't mean anything though. Alucard's familiars are manifested souls which are under his control, not organic beings. They are part of his shadow.

No Caption Provided

Their stats pale in comparison to a Hunter. Very Much less a Juggernaut. In which both Alex and Heller easily tear apart.

Mercer cannot one-shot them, he has to damage them. Showing a photo of not-Mercer next to a bloody mess proves nothing.

Mercer can consume a man with a mere touch from his finger in less than a second

A regular human who was not even moving or aware of his presence. Amazing comparison (y)

Both will be one-shot by Alex's infected and himself will easily leave Alucard for a world of pain.

What infected are those exactly? How does Mercer bring anyone else to this fight?

This does not need prep-time. This has happened to Alex multiple times on the Comic. Every time he traveled around the world Mercer laid a bit of his mass on each country just in case he wanted to "Respawn".

How is he travelling around here? This is a random encounter with no prep and they start 100 meters away from each other. If Mercer wants to drop mass around, he will have to do so during the battle. And there is no way Alucard won't notice such an obvious trick with his senses.

He hasn't shown to be able? Now you're making stuff up. There is nothing shown that Alex can't consume Alucard. Alucard still has organs. He still has nerves in his body. And he still has blood. So yeah. Still partially organic. More than enough for Mercer to easily consume.

He is also a magic being who can literally become an inorganic shadow and hasn't lived for over 500 years. There is hardly a leap in logic here.

Alucard has never shown any resistance to having his body eviscerated and consumed.

First Mercer has to eviscerate him, since Mercer has never shown the ability to just consume beings other than regular people.

Reaction yes. Movement and Running no. Please show me feats of him being faster on movement and running.

Did that ages ago.

Stronger than regular humans? You mean like Walkers?

Which are basically infected humans. Hunters, super soldiers and anything else he needs to fight first.

Even Alex was capable of instantly absorbing 7 Super Human Evolved all at once, without wearing them down or hurting them in any sort of way. He simply consumed them instantly.

Show me.

The Supreme hunter easily regenerated a hand in few seconds from a mere puddle and Alex consumed the Supreme Hunter so.....Yeah. it is confirmed..Mercer can regenerate from a puddle on his own.

Conjecture, and also this is before he gets pulverized by that nuke. Then why did he need to absorb that crow at the end of the game?

Hold on there. It's believable that this will happen but will be highly unlikely due to Alex always attacking Alucard,he will be too worried on how to take Mercer out than considering to scan the environment.

Why is it unlikely? Mercer has no biomass to consume due to lack of people around, he is gonna be constantly peppered by Alucard's attacks, and he will be blasted to pieces. Even if he can regenerate slowly without biomass, once he is at the point that he is nothing more than a puddle, Alucard can just eat him with Baskerville hound. People are not just soul essence inside of Alucard, as Luke only materialized after Walter killed Alucard's hound. Mercer will be essentially trapped.

Uhm..I don't know...Walter easily cut it in half. Killed it.

Walter also cut through multiple skyscrapers just to give himself a cool entrance.

Loading Video...

Tell me how Mercer will replicate this feat.

I don't know. Punching them. Slashing their face open. Eating them alive. Your pick. They aren't durable enough to even withstand a hail of bullets.

Yet I showed you nazi vampires easily tanking AR bullets.

While Mercer's infected easily are.

You still have to explain where these infected are coming from.

It does not actually.

* His only showing of regenerating from a puddle showed him absorbing a crow. You cannot conclude from that he could regenerate from a puddle without consuming any biomass

* Mercer in gameplay does not fully regenerate unless he consumes biomass.

* He has no feats of fully regenerating from significant damage without consuming biomass, so you claiming he can is conjecture.

* Being reduced to a puddle is more than enough for Alucard to dispose of him permanently

And this is not impressive at all since Alucard can regenerate from a puddle without any restrictions or penalty

You can see that Mercer with just a crow regenerated to full power.

IIRC you see him consuming the crow to reform himself, we do not know if he was at full power. For all we know he started slowly consuming humans afterwards.

And it is irrelevant anyway, he had to consume biomass to regenerate properly. With no access to biomass, he is going down, fast.

Mercer will have this sort of information soon enough. Trust me.

Right, because you say so, amirite?

Consuming. Or as the Battle progresses.

How? Mercer has to fully consume someone to gain there knowledge, so just smashing Alucard is not gonna give him any knowledge. And even if he can somehow consume a familiar of Alucard (lol), they do not have that knowledge either. There is simply no way he can know that. He is gonna start smashing and pounding and stabbing, and none of it will get him any closer to killing Alucard.

Is there anything you'd like to show me on Mercer will even get hurt by Alucard.

There is plenty, as I previously stated and will continue to state.

Because so far you have been using the Jackal as trump card for Mercer's durability and that still isn't enough.

Hardly, the Jackall is just the thing he will use as a basic weapon to slowly chip away at him. Alucard has way more power attacks at his disposal.

Lol, either you are lying through your teeth or you need to go back and watch that clip. Anderson literally bathed in smg and AR fire from half a dozen opponents and it did not even penetrate his skin. That puts him above Alex in terms of durability, who is not totally impervious to that kind of fire. The Cassul penetrated Anderson's skin but the bullets were pushed back out, so obviously they did not even go through his skin. Also, Alucard took that shot from literally point blank range.

Mercer's body is strong enough to take explosions. 120 mm tank rounds and tank shells with no visible damage.

Ingame he takes a fair amount of damage from all those things. Show me an in-game cut scene of him tanking such damage without any damage at all or get out. You post too little feats and claim too much.

Not to mention that Walter said it himself. That the Jackal was made to beat Anderson while he was fighting Alucard. Not to mention that the Jackal's bullets were easily getting cut off by Walter's wires.

Its bullets do not work specifically on Anderson only, so what sense does that make? It was designed to deal with a very durably regenerator. If anything, Alex fits that bill perfectly.

And Walter blocked said bullets, he did not cut them. Those wires easily cut through reinforced concrete btw, so I hardly see this as an issue even if it were the case.

But I will repeat myself. You haven't shown not even the slightest in how Alucard's actual running speed is even comparable to Alex's.

You can't read if that is the case, cause I did previous post.

I have been playing defensive. Holding back a lot of Alex's feats. Seeing on what Alucard can offer. And I'm not impressed. Not by the slightest.

You have hardly posted any feats tbh, so maybe you should start breaking out the good stuff.

I am gonna skip some of your next stuff because you are sounding like a broken record. I will address most of it in my conclusions.

You are relying on Alucard's speed too much.

This is especially ironic since you devoted 1/3 of your post to proving Mercer is faster than Alucard to reach a top speed which is still below Alucard and which relies on tons of leaps in logic

Mercer has been shown to take damage from regular bullets, tank shells explosions, hunter slashes etc. All within Alucard's ballpark in terms of damage output

* The Jackall blew away Anderson, who tanked regular bullets with nada/zero visible damage (already shown)

* Rip's bullet went through several missiles AND three different fighter jets without even losing speed

Loading Video...

* Dandy's cards, which he can spam to his heart's content, cut through uranium reinforced tank shells

Loading Video...

All of this can hurt Mercer to varying degrees. Hell, he can not even do anything against Rip's bullet or Dandy's cards. Will it down him immediately? No, but it is not like they are on a time clock. Alucard is faster, so he can take his time and just keep hurting Mercer over. and over. And with no biomass to consume due to lack off people, Mercer will go down.

I have barely showed 26% of Alex's capabilities

Oh nice, another made up number.

Every single feat I have posted. Had context to back it up,the game's lore, feats and characters.

No Caption Provided

The difference between us I show actual feats from the anime and manga, you use comparisons with real life and "based on" in-game armor, statements by you and which are not proven, and silly lore without giving the actual quotes. Right. Moving on.

I guess I will just go on to my conclusions.

You positI say
Alucard can't blitz Mercer, who has superior speedYou base this on a speed run you did and not even posted and an arbitrary comparison between Mercer and Heller. Makes no sense and is inherently flawed. I am not arguing Alucard can blitz, never have, but he IS faster.
Alucard can't hurt Mercer

* The Jackall is a lot more power than AR and SMG fire, both of which hurt Mercer, albeit just a little. But since Alucard can spam bullets, this is hardly an issue

* Rip's bullet rips through multiple rockets and layers of steel without losing any speed. It will go through Mercer like he is made out of cardboard. And he does not even have a way of depending himself, since it is too fast for him to catch.

* Dandy cards easily hurt Andrson and uranimum tank shells. They can hurt Mercer just fine.

* Alucard arms completely cuts apart nazi vampires, so they should be able to at least put pressure on Mercer

So yeah, plenty of options. You claimed multiple times Mercer can just brush of tank shells to the face, but you have yet to show me.

Mercer can just consume Alucard and his familiars

Mercer can regenerate fully without Biomass

The only convincing case that can be made is for Mercer maybe consuming Alucard himself, and even that is unlikely considering the way biomass is described and the inconsistencies in the Prototype series.

This is inconsistent with cutscene feats AND gameplay.

Mercer has infected who will help outYou were extremely vague about this, it kinda came out of nowhere. How will he have buddies present?
Alucard loses lives by decapitation and being turned to mushJust untrue, not much to say on this. Heart stab or bust
Mercer will just magically gain this knowledge

The only one present who knows this is Alucard, and to gain said knowledge Mercer would have to fully consume him. GL

Now bring on those feats you are holding back, because Alucard is getting impatient.

Alucard is a powerful vampire. He has lots of abilities from physical to mental, but Mercer is technically dead and is only a form taken by the virus so Alucard can't be using most of his psychological abilities against Prototype, so I think this will end up in a physical match (who has the firepower, speed, etc)

Alex could not regenerate fast enough when he got killed by Heller, just saying

PIS,he was still regenerating multiple times instantly from multiple dismemberments and internal damage.

Alex could not regenerate fast enough when he got killed by Heller, just saying

PIS,he was still regenerating multiple times instantly from multiple dismemberments and internal damage.

he got severely damaged and finally absorbed like any other infected, no PIS involved he simply can´t regen without any biomass.

@imperator_nocturne: he can actually, but since this is a CaV thread I probably should not interfere anymore than I am now, just saying

@cpt_nice: ok I get t4v, after you guys finish debating/arguing, I would vote or go for which side I think would win, but currently I would vote for Alex Mercer due to the debates/arguements and feats shown (could change later on), GL to you and dygoboy

@darkwrath: In a CAV you usually do not vote for the character you think wins the battle, but for the debater who made the best case for his combatant(s). But if you think Dygoboy made a better argument after we finish up, feel free to vote for him. Just clarifying.

@cpt_nice: ok, for now I go for Dygoboy but after you guys finish up i will make the final vote for who makes the best case for their combatants, I didn't really know CAV works like that because I only know comic vine battles that isn't outside of just VS battles

Right.Time to get down to business:

@cpt_nice

Mercer is not totally impervious to bullets. It is clearly shown in gameplay he takes a small amount of damage from them. You can unload mags into him with little effect, sure, but he is not totally bullet proof.

I clearly showed you Mercer getting shot multiple times over and not even getting pierced by the bullets. None even piercing his skin. Because you know during Gameplay those bullets simply whiz through Alex. So No. Don't use gameplay as a chance to downplay Alex. Ill just post it again.

  • 0:43-A easy 10 story+ drop doesn't even faze hurt, even bother Alex by the slightest. And the impact was enough to wobble 2+ ton Vehicles.
  • 1:05-The Sheer force of Alex landing causes concrete to shatter and still keeps in momentum with his Parkour.
  • 2:13-You can easily see Alex simply pop out of nowhere and surprised the well alerted Blackwatch Soldiers
  • 2:20-Claws cut through Blackwatch armor like Tissue paper. From here on forward you can clearly see Alex getting shot by high caliber assault riffles. Not a single one manages to even put a hole on him. He's bullet proof.
  • 2:28-Reacts and Blocks a grenade launcher along with it's explosion unscathed.
  • 2:37-Gets hit with a Javeline missile launcher. And tanks it with no visible damage. And is somehow at some other place pretending to be a Blackwatch agent.
  • 2:54-Perfectly replicates the actual sound of the Blackwatch suit. As it was coming from a Radio.

And the fact that early Heller can get the bulletproof upgrade close to the beginning of the when Alex was a confirmed Superior to him.

This isn't Pre-Cog. At best this Great awareness of the environment around him. In which I will give him a point for that. But this is no pre-cog This is true Pre-Cog.

No Caption Provided

As you can see here Luther sees every single possible 1000 moves the Librarian can even make. Another Example of Pre-Cog is Midnighter who can analyse the environment and predict everything that will and can happen during the battle in a flash. Or somebody that Flat out immediately predicts what his opponent will do next. And Alucard doesn't fit the True Pre-Cog Category. Great awareness. But no Pre-gog.

And I just checked that what really helps vampires dodge bullets is their "pre-cog". Has it ever worked on something other than Humans or other vampires. Or some sentient Virus?

Yeah, by the Captain, who uses multi-ton missiles for soccer practice.

Is that something that would be relevant to a complete physical Superior like Alex?

Yes problem for Alex. First off, decapitation will not work. Heart stab only. Literal "drive a stake or your arm right through his heart" heart stab. Stupidly specific, sure, but that's how vampirism works. And without said knowledge, Mercer will not even put a dent into Alucard's thousands of lives, that is if he can catch him in the first place.

Oh sure.Unless you literately drive a knife to his heart it won't work. Even if he gets atomized, thrown to outer space,to a volcano, gets turned into paste or even gets blown to tiny fractions of himself. Well..Logic! But nothing says anything about complete body absorption. But heck I'm getting side-tracked. Moving on.

Of course he can. Except that won't do anything unless he punches him in the left upper corner of his chest. 300.000 times.

Wow. Now you know the Specific Numbers of his souls? Hmmm..Interesting..

I chuckle at the notion of you failing to post accurate feats and then trying to mock me if I try to use actual calcs, which you have yet to do. Posting a list of armor or shell types is not a calc or a feat.

I already did that.

Except that hunter barely runs faster than said cars going at roughly 100 - 150 km/hour if we are being VERY generous. I find it unlikely a car driving through a busy Manhattan street will be going faster than that.

Again.Downplaying Alex and that Hunter via Game Mechanics. So tell me something. If he is truly is that slow than how come he managed to keep up with a Blackhawk Helicopter multiple Times on a chase?

We do not see what happens after Alex gets hit by said missiles, so this is conjecture.

Artillery Strike is a military disguise skill that allows Alex to target any enemy unit or building and call down an artillery strike upon it.

We do get to see. Watch it again. You will see Alex simply gets worn down and gets right back up with no damage. And during gameplay Alex takes these Artilery Strike Missiles with moderate Damage. And how much potential does the artilery strike have? Well.

Loading Video...

It one-shots Building reinforced Hives. And when it blows up it's in a form of a cutscene. Not to mention that Tank shells can barely damage these hives. And Remembered what I showed about Alex earlier destroying a hive the Bulletdive? Well let's watch it again.

Loading Video...

Mercer's bullet dive destroys a hive. This shows a lot more destructive potential with a bit of Alex's casual moves.

Alex takes them with moderate Damage from the Artilery Strike Missiles. You cannot deny this. Easy Building++ Durability confirmed for Alex. Unless you have a way to lowball this is suggest you Whizz by this and see what else you can downplay.

Yeah no. I will spare you the trouble right now and show you the feat that Alex beats everything later.Within Helsing Verse Fodder.

Oh, so we are back to reaction feats now without you proving Alex is faster than 150 km/h in running speed?

No Caption Provided

Again, judging from Game Mechanics just proves that you're massively Lowballing Alex

Shoulda woulda coulda. I want to see actual calculations like I did for Alucard, calcs which you did not comment on at all so I will just assume you have no answer to them. Alex has to top 170 m/s at least, or he is slower in movement speed, no matter how much you whine about it being untrue.

No Caption Provided

I'm not even going to bother myself with this. All will be explained at the end of my post.

Now this is totally meaningless unless you show me the footage. You can write just about anything here.

Oh sure, says the guy who isn't doing a video game character. And who's judging him on Game Mechanics.

ODB gave a link on they're own take on Alex's Speed.

It was a minimum 275 Mph.

or 442.57 Km/s

or 123.383 Meters/s

All of this on Prototype 1 Alex Mercer. They said it themselves. On 3 minutes and 10 seconds. They completed the run on such time. You didn't even comment on that Speed. You simply whizzed through the actual speed feat,a reliable source and went for the straight the Viner that which you thought to yourself. Hmm..Maybe this guy is bluffing.

You didn't acknowledge it's existence not even mention you went straight for mine.

Did you ignore it?

We're you too intimidated by it?

Did you even notice it?

Me being a massive Prototype fan. I thought to myself: I thought to myself...Hmmm well..I do have Prototype 1 and Prototype 2. Since prototype 2 is more updated. No. The Maps are split and are too small. And I can't exactly gauge them together. So I will pretty much try Prototype 1 since it's 1 big map and see where it goes from there.

No Caption Provided

I basically started from Point 74 all the way past point 01. I did this and my fastest was in 2 minutes and in 22 Seconds.

You complain about this all you want. I showed legitimate proof of Prototype Alex's minimum Speed of 275 Mph per hour. And I did it myself and I got 360 Mph. The fact that you ignored ODB's calculation shows your ignorance. So Prototype 1 Alex is a Confirmed Minimum of 275+ MPH at the very least.

With my attempts on running around New York he is easily 360+ Mph. You cannot deny it. You want footage? Help me create a Youtube account. Or give me the best recording software out there. Or donate some money to me while your at it? Since when was this asked here on Comic Vine? I think your the first. Alex's capabilities have minimally doubled on Prototype 2.

And the cool fact that you didn't even touch on Heller's side on Prototype 2. Where Alex capabilities have doubled! And before you say how come it doubled? What do you think happened after Prototype 1's ending?

My Work is almost done? He was busy finishing things up!

He was consuming, killing parkouring and doing his usual routine. Becoming even stronger. Evidenced by the Red Inhuman Glowing eyes. And him doing feats that weren't even shown during the game. I will get into those later. And when he was done,he decided to take some time off for himself and go on Vacation! Travelling around the globe! Now Moving on.

And what is to say said black hawks can fly at top speed while navigating Manhattan? Can you show me an actual feat of a Blackhawk flying at its maximum speed and Alex outpacing it?

Again. Can't record anything.. So give me some recording software and I can easily show Alex outrunning a Helicopter. But what I can show you that in the beginning of his game,at his weakest is that Alex was close to outrunning a helicopter.

Loading Video...

0:45-Even though he was dead he sort of comes back to life.

1:54-Gets loaded with High Caliber Assault Riffles right on the get go. Gets won down. But his body regenerates without Biomass. Even with no Biomass, his body can heal small bullet holes.

2:06-Manages to aim dodge the Blackwatch agents while trying to escape

2:32-You will see here,Alex at his weakest stay on the Run from a Blackhawk Helicopter. And maintaining a good distance between him and the chopper.

3:15-Gets hit with a missile to his back. It does completely no damage and it only blows him and a Taxy back. But he's fast enough to recover and then catch the Taxy.

3:33-While Locking on Mercer enhances his perception of time. Slowing down everything to lock on more effectively.

5:36-Blackwatch Soldier shoots Alex while he's unconscious. Doesn't even bother him when he wakes up.

5:48-After he gets up kills the Blackwatch soldier and consumes for the first time ever. Then shapeshifts into that Blackwatch soldier.

Pardon my confusion. But a Blackhawk in Mph is 196 Mph.Prototype 1 Alex is a Minimal 275+ Mph. Current Alex is 720+ Mph.

And why did his speed suddenly double for no reason?

Mercer Protoype 2 Potential has doubled. Have a problem, take it up with the developers and the Comic. And show me if it was possible to do those things within Prototype 1 or 2 game on what he showed during the Comic.

Using said comparison to compare Heller and Alex is full with faulty logic. The paths are very different, they are filled with different obstacles, It does not account for the player murking up. Unless you show me a fight/race or something between Alex and James where Alex shows superior speed, I am not inclined to believe he is faster.

That is your problem. I will show it later.

My friend. A wise Man once said never underestimate your opponent. I have barely even showed Alex's amps and your assuming that's Alex's best speed. I'm just gonna go and say it right now. That a serious Alex easily surpasses Alucard in Running Speed by serveral magnitudes.

And that you just showed on Alucard's speed isn't him running. It's him propelling himself towards the air. I want actual running speed. Show me him actually running and calculating his speed, because that's what I did. Calculated his running speed. On foot. Not even in the air. I didn't jump. I didn't air dash I simply kept running and Alex was jumping over obstacles and I did my best to avoid buildings.

You try and compare to Alex on foot you show Alucard propelling himself in mid air? Uhm No.

Alucard can propel himself into the air all he wants but on foot he is still massively beaten down to the ground.

So I will repeat myself again. Without you showing me a scrap of footage on Helsing that Alucard can for example easily outrun a Blackhawk Helicopter. And you can if there's an instance that Alucard that does such thing, the difference is that Youtube has all of the episodes on the Helsing Series there. And there's barely a scrape of content that you would specifically want on Alex because nobody has ever even thought of doing such things. Running all the way from the longest point of New York all the way to the other longest point? Would you really find a video of that? Of course not.

So unless you can show me a concrete feat of him doing that or something better,Alex remains Superior on foot. I will go to the conclusion that Hellsing's running speed is about 300 Mph at best. (Since he moves as a blurr).

And Prototype 1 Alex's with a Superior 360 Mph. And Prototype 2 Alex with 720 Mph. He is massively trumped right from the get go.

I haven't calculated his glide or airdash because they're simply unimportant but I will try that and compare to Alucard's.

Then it is irrelevant since the comparison between Mercer and Heller is weak.

It is very well Relevant. The fact these two posses the same core power set makes it relevant.

The fact Super Soldiers actually do the same thing makes it relevant.

I was trying to demonstrate that Alex from Super Soldier class to above can pretty much almost effortlessly react to something coming at Mach 2.

Let me fix this:

Speeds: On foot

SpeedsAlucardAlex Mercer
Movement speed

High end: at least 134 m/sec

Blitzes opponents easily dodging mach 2 - 2.5 fire and moves as blurr.

Low end: Faster than a Blackhawk Helicopter can keep up,presumably 579 km/h (no real calculation provided), roughly 156 m/s

High end:321 m/sec

Easily Blitzes Humans on a daily basis,Fodderises Super Soldiers who react to mach 2.5 projectiles and deflect them.

Reacted to

Low end: mach 30, High end: Mach 109

(note that he also caught said bullet, so he moved his body fast enough to catch it in his teeth while it made a pass)

VeryLow end: Mach 4 (proven) -

High end: Mach 10+ (Soon to be proven)

Yeah... No... I beg to differ.

Again. That wasn't running. That was Propelling. Actual Running feat required.

Show me him tanking a tank shell with no damage.

I don't need to. I will show it later.

And you are basing that specific number on what? I really am beginning to feel you have a liking for making up numbers.

It's a metaphor. Don't use that to make yourself superior. That's just low.

How is this impressive? Alucard instantly regens from getting his head chopped off and while he is doing it and can't even see, he shoots back.

Again. That is cool and all impressive. But that wasn't the point of my feat in the first place. I wanted to show you a difference that Alex within the cutscene verse/Comic Verse>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gameplay Alex.

Not to mention that in that Cutscene Alex regenerated instantly from that Hole to the face at will. While during Gameplay you have to stay on a corner for you health to regenerate from bullets for a while.

Shoot him with the Jackal

Yeah. Mercer dodges said bullets or simply blocks them, hardens his body or simply walks through it. So no. The Jackal won't do anything. Please show something other than almost taking Anderson's mid caliber tanking arm.

In comparison to Alex's high Caliber,grenade launcher,Rocket launcher,hellfire missiles,tanks shell,Artilery Strike,Thermobarric tanking full body.

* Pepper him with regular bullets (since Mercer also takes damage from soldier AR's)

He doesn't,your clearly lowballing Alex via Game Mechanics. Then if that's true. Alex standing still and letting an entire platoon of Blackwatch Soldiers completely unload on him can kill him. That is seriously false. Non Canon, untrue, unproven and outright stupid. Mercer is bullet proof whether you like or not. Gameplay are a minimum of each Character's abilities. Especially Alex. Common Game Universe use of feats knowledge.

Cutscene and QTE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gameplay

If those bullets couldn't even penetrate through Anderson's arms how will it do against Alex's way more durable body?

* Use Rip's bullet

Gets stuck on Alex's minimal Town/Hill Level durability. Or stops at impact. You choice.

* Use Dandy cards

An annoyance at best. Nothing his hardening body can brush off or his armor.

* Use his arms of doom

More like arms of boredom. Other than shredding vampires. (Their bodies still get easily penetrated by bullets). Has he cut through reinforced concrete? Reinforced Steel doors? Cut through Uranium Tank shells like Dandy Man's cards? No? Ok.

* Eat him with Baskerville hound

Then consumes it inside out and gains a massive power boost. I guess you're forgetting the fact that Luke Valentine was still alive inside despite all that time that he was still in there. And again. You haven't shown me how they're not getting consumed. And you're just assuming that Alex will be turned to confetti or will even get eviscerated.

^ Pick your poison.

None will work. The only one that will actually even help is Dandy Man's cards. Even by then it will be too late once Alex's body begins adapting, hardening or when he puts his armor on.

Not entirely sure about that. Making guys who tank AR fire look like wet tissue paper is not that bad

Tank Shells>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>AR Fire

I have yet to see a legit feat of him deflecting a tank shell, and not you saying he can. And Alex takes enough damage from tank shells that it can take up a good portion of his health, as well as throw him to the floor.

Again. Cutscene>>>>>>>>>Game Mechanics

So you're comparing a real life Human martial artist to a fictional Super Human Virus like Alex Mercer? Mercer does not uses his own force and hardened Body to one-shot M1 Abram Tanks.

His Hammer fist Elbow Drop One-shots Tanks and Helicopters

His Hammerfirst Throw one-shots Tanks and Helicopters

His Blade Air Swipe One-shot tanks and Hellicopters

His Groundspikes One-shots Tanks

Fully Charged Melee hit of Hammerfists One-shots Tanks

Fully Charged Blade Frenzy One-shots Tanks

Combination of Musclemass Canon Ball and Bulletdive Two-shots tanks

A Drop kick from Alex one-shots Helicopters

I wonder why he takes damage from AR fire then. Grenade launchers and javelines take a good chunk of his damage as well

. *Alert*Alert*Alert* Game-Mechanics Lowballing Detected*Alert*Alert*Alert*

Nope, you have proved jack shit.

Oh yes I have. You simply keep ignoring my points and applying yours.

* Mercer takes small chunks of damage from punches from infected and AR fire

WOW. I'm pretty if you ever played Protoype you've probably skipped all the custcenes. Again Mercer in cutscene bullets didn't do anything,he wasn't fazed by them. And they didn't even penetrate his skin.

Cutscene and QTE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gameplay.

Your argument is invalid.

* He takes chunks of damage from grenade launchers and Javelines. He tanked a grenade launcher in your clip by reacting to it and using his blade to block. If it hits him square in the face though, he takes damage.

The Weapon normally used during gameplay to block such explosions is the shield. But at times it brakes. But Alex's Blade in custcene-Verse Completely negates the damage and doesn't brake and completely negates it. See the logical inconsistency with Gameplay and Cutscnes.

Cutscene and QTE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gameplay.

Like I said. All your Gameplay arguments are invalid.

* He takes a fair amount of damage from tank shells, which are less durable than Dandy cards might I add. Tank shells have uranium tips, Dandy cards cut through that like cardboard.

Son.Does artillery Strike say anything? Your argument is still invalid

So yeah, you are vastly overestimating his durability.

No I'm not. I simply haven't shown you his good feats. And you're automatically assuming things due to me holding back. And you're using Gameplay to downplay Alex to immense Proportions so you can win. And it's Prototype 1 to be worse. Not Prototype 2 where he is twice as powerful. It's sad really.

I am not scraping the bottom of the barrel though, since lots of gamers have commented on this inconsistency. Alex's own "clothes" are altered biomass according to the developers, so if he consumes someone it is not weird to think he can replicate their clothes.

Clothes and Tech? It is but it happened.

Of course you could argue that since the he absorbs tech he can absorb inorganic matter too. But then why does he have to consume living beings to regain health? Why not consume corpses? Cars? Bricks? Illogical. Developers stated Alex needs to consume LIVING biomass to regain health.

Then why do other individuals like Greene,Galloway,Koening,The Supreme Hunter other Evolved.

No Caption Provided

Who have absolutely nothing to do with the Game-play can very well consume non living organics? For example, Greene and Alex can turn non living Building structures into living biomass that houses infected. Infecting the actual building structure inside out close to the atomic level. To the point where Greene by manipulating the mass on a wall easily weakened it's structural integrity. To the point where all of Alex's Evolved can easily shapeshift into Blackwatch Soldiers perfectly get the sound, look, composition of the suit? You can say anything you want but cutscene beats any possible word you put into. If it only happened during gameplay you would have made a great point there.

I say the choice to let Alex just use the tech he gets off absorbed soldiers is for gameplay purposes. It goes against the surrounding lore and his own abilities, and the way they explain how biomass works.

The surrounding lore? Infecting Water Towers, buildings, concrete, weakening structural integrity, heck even the infection mass spreading around a fracking Taxy for Christ's sakes you're really going through every way possible to downplay Alex. Was that a part of the Game's lore? Most of it yet yes. But the things about being able to infect non living organics was never said but Alex and Greene is easily do it within the Cutscene/Comic Universe. It might go against the developer's words as you say, but it happened in the actual gameplay, cutscene, comic. You cannot deny it for how much you want. You'd probably have a point if you said:

"Alex isn't weak against Electricity, because it never happened during the lore,it was never shown during a cutscene, and the developer's don't even talk about it,and the game don't even mention anything about it."

I would have agreed with you 100%. But unfortunately for this case it didn't only happen during Gameplay,it happened in the Game's cutscene,it was within the Game's art. And it's in Alex's power-set. There is nothing stating it that it's non canon.

Also, we can either be somewhat critical of gameplay related choices or we can't be. And if we aren't critical, Mercer can basically be killed by regular human infected and a few guys with AR's.

But luckily Cutscene Verse/Comic Verse Alex Mercer>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gameplay Alex.

Mercer cannot one-shot them, he has to damage them. Showing a photo of not-Mercer next to a bloody mess proves nothing.

Lol! I guess you really haven't played Prototype then.

Wow I know! Is it possible that he could have done anything to fight back Alex's consumption in any sort of way? Really tell me. Surprised or not would he still not have easily gotten consumed? Yes he would. So you're sarcasm is rather unfitting in this sort of situation.

No Caption Provided

He later uses the man's face to easily sneak by the Police Swat with no problem.

What infected are those exactly? How does Mercer bring anyone else to this fight?

I don't know. Leaving small fractions of his mass around. Infected Creator Devastator, infecting the environment ect..

How is he travelling around here? This is a random encounter with no prep and they start 100 meters away from each other. If Mercer wants to drop mass around, he will have to do so during the battle. And there is no way Alucard won't notice such an obvious trick with his senses.

He can notice it. But the actual mass can go underground. Deep.

And he will be too busy with Alex to even care. Tell me that after he see's Alex do that a small slime inside the earth will be much of his concern than a man constantly attacking him, shrugging off everything he can throw at him and dismembering left and right.

He is also a magic being who can literally become an inorganic shadow and hasn't lived for over 500 years. There is hardly a leap in logic here.

Does that really matter? He can become a shadow all he wants he still has an organic vessel. Once he goes back Mercer consumes him.

First Mercer has to eviscerate him, since Mercer has never shown the ability to just consume beings other than regular people.

You're really digging a deep rabit hole of lowballing Alex. And you're deep. There's still a chance for salvation.

Did that ages ago.

Yeah. For Alucard Propelling himself. Other than that you haven't shown anything on Running speed. He gets trumped on foot.

Which are basically infected humans. Hunters, super soldiers and anything else he needs to fight first.

By Prototype 2 he simply consumes them instantly. Because Prototype Food chain.

Wow! Needed to? Where did you get that from? A reliable source? Is there anything within the lore, story or even the developers saying that Alex needed to consume the Crow to regenerate? No! The Supreme Hunter regenerated from a puddle after getting pwned by Alex.

Alex then consumed the Supreme Hunter and he was still alive when his remains got to shore. And even before the crow settles on his regenerating remains you can see the ooze actually moving and bulging. He was regenerating on his own. The Crow gave him an extra Pick me up. And Speeded up his regeneration process and got back to full strength within moments. I will explain more about the Nuke Feat later.

Again. Show me something that will actually contribute to him actually hurting Alex other than Dandy Man's cards that Mercer will start to brush off once he gets serious?

His arms are useless.

His guns won't even go through his skin

Van Winkle's bullet stops at impact with Alex's body or it gets lodged inside him.

His hound gets one-shot by either a punch from Alex or a slash.

Yet I showed you nazi vampires easily tanking AR bullets.

Something Mercer's fodder are very well above. Heck even recently infected Tigers don't give a damn about a high caliber hail of bullets.

You still have to explain where these infected are coming from.

Uhmm....Let's see..

  • Infected Pustules
  • Infected Water Towers
  • Infected Hives
  • Infected Creator Devastator

It does not actually.

Yes it does. You keep denying it.

* His only showing of regenerating from a puddle showed him absorbing a crow. You cannot conclude from that he could regenerate from a puddle without consuming any biomass

While the Supreme Hunter did it. Who came from Greene. In which later Alex consumed Greene then he consumed the Supreme Hunter. And he was still living even after the Nuke drop. So..I can. And I did.

* Mercer in gameplay does not fully regenerate unless he consumes biomass.

Ugh......Cutscene/Comic Alex>>>>>>>>>>Gameplay Alex. In Gameplay. Let me explain you the difference.

  1. Gets loaded with bullets instantly during the beginning of the game. Is worn down but his body immediately regenerates without any biomass. He hasn't consumed a single being yet.
  2. Player has to great upgrade to regenerate while undetected.
  • Takes multiple high caliber bullets during custcene, each one stops at impact.
  • Player is fazed by bullets and can be killed by 1 soldier alone while standing still.
  1. Manages to stay on the run from a Black hawk Helicopter during cutscne.
  2. Player Barely passes through cars on a busy street on New York.
  • Regenerates from a Hole to the face without consuming biomass at will during cutscene
  • Player has to consume to regenerate from bullet holes.
  1. During cutscnene Alex consumes one Soldier and easily does a devastator, even if you're at the lowest health. He simply does it.
  2. Player has to get to a certain threshold of Critical mass to perform Devastator.
  • Develepor's say that Alex can throw Tanks
  • During Gameplay cannot throw any Military Vehicle but can still lift 33 ton truck.
  1. Tanks Artillery strike missiles with no damage and only gets worn down.
  2. Gets moderate damage during gameplay
  • Alex can shapeshift to a disguise of a person you've never consumed
  • Player has to consume specific character to get their appearance but cannot use his previous disguise.
  1. During Comic consumes person with a touch of his finger
  2. Player has to beat a person within an inch of their life to consume.
  • Consumes 7 Evolved at once during custcene
  • Player has to wear down all Hunter+ class enemies to consume them.
  1. During cutscene Blade completely negates a grenade launcher
  2. During Gameplay shield breaks on impact of the explosion of the Grenade.

See all of these Gameplay inconsistencies with the actual lore and cutscene? So don't use Gameplay as basis for Mercer or any Playable character within Prototype because they will get massively down played.

* He has no feats of fully regenerating from significant damage without consuming biomass, so you claiming he can is conjecture.

Regenerating from a hole to the face comes to mind. And also getting his throat slit, getting loaded with bullets, getting multiple stabs around his body ect..he regenerates them instantly.

* Being reduced to a puddle is more than enough for Alucard to dispose of him permanently

No it won't. That will count as Incapacitation. If his dog eats him,it gets consumed inside out. And that won't even happen.

And this is not impressive at all since Alucard can regenerate from a puddle without any restrictions or penalty

And he's going to be doing that till he gets annoyed and quits. Or gets consumed.

IIRC you see him consuming the crow to reform himself, we do not know if he was at full power. For all we know he started slowly consuming humans afterwards.

And it is irrelevant anyway, he had to consume biomass to regenerate properly. With no access to biomass, he is going down, fast.

We do not know. But it was more than enough for him to fully get his prime mass back, get him back on his feet and in a good feeling to go on top of a building and think to about his work.

So yeah, Something as small as crow gives Mercer enough mass to regenerate to his prime form. Hmmm...This really makes you think on how much biomass Mercer's body consumes via regen.

ts bullets do not work specifically on Anderson only, so what sense does that make? It was designed to deal with a very durably regenerator. If anything, Alex fits that bill perfectly.

1-Too bad Alex's durability is magnitudes way more durable than anybody within the Helsing verse.

2-Different Physiology,different effects.

3-A Regenerator that is already dead and has no soul.

4-Has no magic

5-Alex is not like Anderson who Bio-Teach Healing. He is completely biological.

So you're saying that this might work on Alex even though his body is bullet proof. And I feel like your making the regenerator thing up.

And Walter blocked said bullets, he did not cut them. Those wires easily cut through reinforced concrete btw, so I hardly see this as an issue even if it were the case.

Blocked. But they were cut anyways.

Mercer has been shown to take damage from regular bullets, tank shells explosions, hunter slashes etc. All within Alucard's ballpark in terms of damage output

Yeah No. Read my post above.

* The Jackall blew away Anderson, who tanked regular bullets with nada/zero visible damage (already shown)

Regular mid Caliber Bullets. While for Alex it's high Caliber. Your making it look like Anderson would beat Alex on a fight.

* Rip's bullet went through several missiles AND three different fighter jets without even losing speed

Again cool. Proves the speed, but again it's damage output. Gets lodged on Alex's body or stops at impact.

Now let's go for you conclusions.

GL

My counter conclusions:

You positI say
Alucard is faster than AlexWrong. Like I said before. You haven't shown me Alucard's running speed. You did some calculation of which Alucard propelled himself into the air. And that's propelling. Not running. Nor even on foot. While I base mine completely on foot. Unless you post an actual calculation of Alucard's running or movement speed on foot Mercer is a confirmed Superior.

Alex Mercer will get hurt by the Jackal since he gets hurt by AR and SMG fire.

RIP's bullet will go through Alex

Dandy man's cards will go through Alex

Alucard's arms will apply pressure to Mercer.

1. You based those small arguments by lowballing Alex via Game mechanics. While in cutscene I have shown you that Alex is bullet Proof. You ignored this. And make your own assumptions. The Jackal wont do anything to Alex.

2.It stops at impact with Alex's body or gets lodged inside.

3. Dandy Man's cards are the only thing that will actually do anything.

4.Alucard's arm will utterly fail to apply pressure to him since the haven't shown to cut through Reinforced Steel.

Mercer can't do consume Alucard and his familiars

Mercer can't regenerate without Biomass

Alucard still gets consumed once Alex gets his hands on him. Still has a organs and blood. Organic. Good enough for consumption.

It isn't inconsistent. During Gameplay the player needs to consume and hide to regenerate comfortabily, while Cutscene Alex regenerates from things without Biomass at will. You can deny it all you want. Cutscene beat everything within the Video Game Universe.

How will the infected get here?Pustules. Re-read my posts dude.
It's either heart stab or bustThere is nothing about being consumed and there is nothing saying that he can't be consumed.
Mercer can only gain knowledge on Alucard via consumption

That might be true. In which it will happen

Now bring on those feats you are holding back, because Alucard is getting impatient.

Alright then. You asked for it.

Well then...Come at me.
Well then...Come at me.

Battle Music.

On Alex's speed:

On these 2 gifs, you will see that Alex causes a sonic boom behind him and outruns turret and missile gunfire from Helicopters the one-shots it via uppercut. You have to look at this closely and focus on every frame because it goes pretty darn fast. And if you notice the health is slowly increasing while doing this as well. Showing off a little of his regen during gameplay.

This helps reinforce the fact that Mercer can be faster than sound at base. But even without being faster than sound he is still incredibly fast and strong.

No Caption Provided

Mercer can easily tear apart a modified tank and use it as a racket on it self.

Again. Alex is an easy 100+ Tonner in Prototype 1. Prototype 2 he is exponentially stronger probably a 200+tonner at base since everything doubled.

Nothing within Alucard's arsenal can hurt Alex or even has the necessary force to do so.

6:00-Tanks a mini tactical nuke Thermobaric Explosion that completely kills and blows everything within the Base to smithereens and turns into rubble. And Mercer emerges. With no Scratch nor wound or even fazed by it. This a very impressive feat. Why? Il'l Explain:

Here's the description for the Thermobarric weapons

Thermobarric explosions has a ton of variations.

´´A fuel-air explosive (FAE) device consists of a container of fuel and two separate explosive charges. After the munition is dropped or fired, the first explosive charge bursts open the container at a predetermined height and disperses the fuel in a cloud that mixes with atmospheric oxygen (the size of the cloud varies with the size of the munition). The cloud of fuel flows around objects and into structures. The second charge then detonates the cloud, creating a massive blast wave. The blast wave destroys unreinforced buildings and equipment and kills and injures people. The antipersonnel effect of the blast wave is more severe in foxholes, and in enclosed spaces such as caves, buildings, and bunkers.´´

That is what exactly happens within that sequence. And Mercer takes it! So truth! Backed up! And Proved!

That of course means that the Thermobarric Tank shells that one shot Alex is simply game mechanics. And Mercer can actually take them.

Always remember that pressure and heat are both forms of energy and that high explosives and thermobarics both produce heat and pressure when they detonate. The manner in which they produce these effects is what differentiates them. Thermobarics produce less heat and pressure than high explosives, but for a longer duration.

It is also going to depend on what kind of structure you are ref to and what the atmospheric conditions are. 2 psi to 5 psi is sufficient to destroy most buildings not made of poured and reinforced concrete. A large Thermobaric device can resemble a small nuclear detonation in its effects, minus radiation. With an overpressure within the detonation reaching up to 430 psi and temperatures of 4,500 to 5,400 °F, it will have no problems destroying these types of structures.

The vacuum that comes after the detonation is nearly as deadly as the initial blast wave. Because the pressure wave is of a longer duration, Thermobarics are typically more destructive then are high explosives.

"The [blast] kill mechanism against living targets is unique–and unpleasant…. What kills is the pressure wave, and more importantly, the subsequent rarefaction [vacuum], which ruptures the lungs…. If the fuel deflagrates but does not detonate, victims will be severely burned and will probably also inhale the burning fuel. Since the most common FAE fuels, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, are highly toxic, undetonated FAE should prove as lethal to personnel caught within the cloud as most chemical agents."

Furthermore, a DIA article reveals, "that because the “shock and pressure waves cause minimal damage to brain tissue…it is possible that victims of FAEs are not rendered unconscious by the blast, but instead suffer for several seconds or minutes while they suffocate.”

Mercer took the initial blast head on,Which killed everything else. Then pressure wave and vacuum had no effect on him. Why? Again,Mercer isn't alive,he does not posses any human organs or tissue. He is just Biomass. This shows that Mercer has great blunt force resistance.

This feat alone proves that Prototype 1 Alex has a Multi-City++ Durability Rank. But what exactly does a Themobarric explosion or Tank shell is capable of? Well.

Improving Alex's running speed.

-Casually Outruns Helicopter Gun Fire.

Mercer effortlessly outpaces sniper bullets at the beginning of his sprint

Now, i've shown that Alex could outpace a pin-point sniper-rifle bullet on the spot, while he wasn't solely trying to dodge it in the first place. He outpaced it just by running in 2 steps.

Alex was running forward while the helicopter was behind him. There would have been no way for him to tell where the bullet was exactly coming from.

Alex doesn't have eyes on the back of his head now does he? Then how did he dodge the bullet when he couldn't see exactly where it was coming from? It's a simple answer, it was because he was FASTER, and that's all that matters. He was fast enough to outpace the bullet.

A Barrett M82 bullet moves at a speed of 853 M/S. It's reasonable to assume that the sniper bullet shot at Alex was moving at roughly the same speed, so we'll go with that:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrett_M82

Of course, you could easily say that i'm speculating the speed of the bullet that was fired at Alex. So i'll go with a slower AK47 bullet, in order not to overpower him. The speed of that bullet is 715 M/S.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK-47

Not only does this prove that Alex's speed is a lot more than what I said but it solidifies the fact that his speed is well above my 720+ Mph. He only did this with 2 steps. Not even getting the slightest chance to reach his top speed.

So yes. Alex's minimum Running speed is a confirmed 720+ Mph at base. Proven, backed up,and shown. There.

Casually dodges a barrage of Bullets from Helicopter Turrets

A little show off on Alex's Healing Factor

I'm going to show you a few gifs on how quick Mercer's healing factor is.

No Caption Provided
No Caption Provided

As you can see, Alex gets his throat slit by Heller with a Mil Tech Combat Knife. Great for penetrating through body armor. But his body regenerates as Heller cuts. This demonstrates Mercer's great speed on his healing factor but it also shows that holes and cuts don't even consume Mercer's biomass since there's still a good portion of him around everywhere. Not to mention a small love tap from Mercer's back was enough to cause a small schockwave and blow Heller back at a massive distance and almost K.O. But somehow Heller survives and keeps trying with sheer determination and will power. Alucard would have probably let human Heller kill him since he had this amazing sort of determination. Something Alucard loves in people trying to kill him. And Mercer has got plenty of that.

No Caption Provided

Heck, Heller stabs Alex multiple times on his arm in vain. His arm regenerates after his cut. F*^$ given: 0.

To sum this small experience for Alex it's probably something like this.

No Caption Provided

Perfect replication of what happened during that sequence!

So unless Alucard dismembers Alex, disintegrates,or causes a large sum of internal damage, not even a single sum of biomass will be spent.

No Caption Provided

Cuts and holes don't consume Alex's Biomass. And I don't see Alucard even making a hole on Mercer.

In continuation to his overall power,Mercer has a second stage form. I don't know if this actually applies for Alex since it only happened in the Comic with the Zoo Animals. Cross even tried using his stun baton on a tiger and it didn't work

No Caption Provided

I couldn't find the page of the Comic on the Internet,it sucked. But this is to give concrete evidence that it happened. Due to that. Cross and his team had to use Lethal weaponry to put down the rest of the infected animals on that Zoo.Aiming for vital parts or completly unload their clips on one and hope for the best.

No Caption Provided

The only survivor of this encounter was Specialist Cpt.Cross. And this was merely his initiation

For now let's assume that Alex has this form.

Feral Mode

No Caption Provided

Like the Animals on the Zoo it is possible for Alex to enter this primal state of pure animal killing instinct. Even though those animals we're infected from the Early strains of the Red-light,it can be assumed that Alex can. Since Black-Light is the more developed, strongest and the perfected Strain of the Redlight Virus.

If Mercer does indeed enter this state,he gain some Pros:

  • Immunity to pain
  • Enhanced Speed.
  • Enhanced Durability
  • Enhanced Healing Factor
  • Enhanced Strength
  • Animalistic Rage

But wait! That isn't even his Final Form! Far from it...

No Caption Provided

I will get into 2 other of Alex's form for now if necessary. Because I don't have the energy.

Mercer's Offensive Powers

Mercer can form his biomass into a variety of weapons, mostly slicing or crushing tools. In combat, he either uses biomass to create various blades and clubs. Each one can and will obliterate Alucard.

Claws

No Caption Provided

Claws are the primary anti-personnel and an offensive abilityevolved within Alex Mercer. Mercer was able to unlock this ability after consuming a hunter.

When activated, the biomass of the arms shifts into three-fingered, one-thumbed talon-like appendages that can used to effortlessly shred flesh and bone, allowing dismemberment of human-sized enemies with ease.

Dashing Slice
Dashing Slice

Dashing slice is a movement upgrade to the Claws. It is the most powerful slashing-type of attack available from the Claws. Since it is performed while sprinting, charging the attack automatically slides the Prototypes towards the target before delivering the slash. This helps in rapidly closing the distance to the target and can automatically stop to perform a Groundspike attack easier.

GROUNDSPIKE
GROUNDSPIKE

Groundspike is an upgrade and an extension to the Claws. It is highly effective for short or longer-ranged area attack. The biomass from the Claws are channeled into the ground to erupt and impale a targeted enemy or a tight group of enemies. This power can be upgraded to cause maximum damage and area effect. This ability is useful for destroying infected water towers with one strike.

CLAW POUNCE
CLAW POUNCE

Claw Pounce is a charged attack, in which Mercer will start by extending his Claws like he is about to pounce like a real Jungle Cat, next he will enhance his leap with his biological cells similar to his glide power and slash at the target.

TACTICAL OVERVIEW

The Claws are best put to use as an anti-personnel weapon; their speed allows to shred through large groups of infected and humans in seconds. When upgraded with the Groundspike ability, damage can be caused to distant enemies by clawing the ground and causing massive spikes of Biomass to erupt beneath the target, impaling everything within its proximity. This ability is particularly useful to deal with armored vehicles, and even some larger infected enemies.

Although the Claws have their advantages, basic attacks are ineffective against armor, D-Code soldiers, and larger infected. In close combat, the damage dealt against them is very low when compared to the Groundspike attack. Unless attacking a lone target, the Groundspike ability forces Alex Mercer to remain stationary for the duration of the attack. This results in a moment of vulnerability allowing enemies to attack him.

Contribution to the Battle:

Alex main anti infantry weapon. Useful for taking out armies of fodders and living targets. Alucard will be constantly slashed and surprised at it's speed. And Mercer has the Groundspike in which he can use anytime for a surprise Sneak attack. He won't see it coming.

Whipfist

No Caption Provided

The Whipfist is one of many abilities the Prototypes have at their disposal. It consists of an extendable, elongated appendage with a blade at the end. Given its unique status as a ranged attack, the Whipfist is usually the weapon of choice when opposed by the recurring Helicopters or distant enemies.

Street Sweeper
Street Sweeper

The street sweeper ability helps in dismembering multiple foes surrounding a Prototype with an eccentric 360-degree swath. This ability is highly effective against infected citizens, Walkers and military personnel. Larger enemies can also sustain multiple hits of the Whipfist if they are within an arm's reach. Charging this attack to its maximum will increase the sweep radius and damage. This upgrade is immediately available to Mercer once he acquires the Whipfist, while Heller automatically has this ability as his basic attack.

LongShot Grab
LongShot Grab
The Longshot grab ability is used to apprehend a distant enemy due to its extensive range. Larger foes will not be reeled in towards the Prototype, rather the Prototype will pull himself towards the target. This ability can also be used to hijack Helicopters easily or "fish out" a specific target for consumption. It also has the benefit of being able to be executed while airborne.

TACTICAL OVERVIEW

No Caption Provided

The Whipfist is the longest range ground attack apart from the firearms. However, it does not inflict high damage against toughened enemies unless attacked multiple times. Whipfist can be used effectively against human-class targets such as the infected civilians, evolved infected, or normal military personnel. The Whipfist can also be used to destroy UAVs easily beyond their detection radius as well as the Viral Detectors and sentry guns. Charging any Whipfist ability in general will extend its effective range in addition to increased damage.

This power is useful when dealing with multiple weak enemies (humans, infected humans, etc.) in large groups. It might also be considered an anti-infantry ability.

Contribution to the battle:

It's the best ranged weapon on Alex's weapons. It can be used for Alex to pull himself. To grab long range enemies. Or overall keep on Crowd control. The Whifist will shred Alucard to shreds or if Alex plays it smart he will drag in Alucard to be consumed.

Blade

No Caption Provided

The Blade is an offensive power employed by Alex Mercer. Mercer gained this ability along with the armor power, once the parasite was removed from his body,

When Mercer activate this ability, an elongated double ended blade forms from the base of the right elbow, turning hid arm into a giant razor-sharp cutting weapon.

The Blade is extremely effective in close contact, and although the area of effect is very localized, the blade's basic attacks dish out higher damage than those from any of the other powers. While this power may be utilized against basic infantry units, its true destructive capability is in attacking vehicles and large infected creatures such as hunters or brawlers.

Air Slice
Air Slice

Alex Mercer can perform many moves by upgrading this ability. As he mutates his ability, the attacks, damage dealt and the appearance of his blade change with each level.

No Caption Provided
  • Blade Air Slice: An aerial drop attack, Alex falls with a bit of a spin to enhance the slicing capabilities of the Blade. This ability can destroy any non-boss (or building) unit in at most two direct hits. It is the most powerful single strike available from the Blade.
  • Blade Frenzy: Mercer lashes forward, unleashing a series of slashing attacks from a standing position, slicing while running for a few steps. Can be manually interrupted by a Diveroll.
  • Blade Sprint Frenzy: An upgraded alternative to Blade Frenzy which allows Mercer to perform the same attack as Blade Frenzy but while sprinting. The slashes from Blade Sprint Frenzy deal slightly higher damage than slashes from a Blade Frenzy. It can cut through crowds of human-class enemies at a very high speed, but it cannot be interrupted manually.
  • Blade Tornado: Mercer spins with his Blade arm fully extended, creating a radius of cutting that slices anything in the way of his path as he rotates towards a given direction. Alex can also leap towards a target while in mid-air, cutting anything in his trajectory with the Blade. Note that doing a Blade Air Slice, as well as a Blade Tornado will automatically take away one arm from a healthy Brawler without any stunning or trapping with Tendril.

TACTICAL OVERVIEW

No Caption Provided

The Blade is a close combat power and is capable of dealing large amounts of damage to heavy targets. Although it doesn't quite match the Claws in terms of raw speed, the Blade's attacks are still fairly quick and they deal more damage than any other power. Even the Hammerfists cannot match the Blade's damage potential against a single target.

A completely charged Air Slice attack causes very heavy damage and is an efficient means of dealing with toughened enemies. However the attack can be difficult to execute effectively. The Air Slice involves dropping on top of an intended target, therefore its tracking capability is highly dependent on the starting altitude when executing the attack. This makes it difficult to perform against helicopters, since they can sometimes out maneuver Mercer.

Blade Frenzy moves allow for a quick series of strikes to rapidly finish off a large foe, or simply dash through enemies, dealing massive damage to anything the Blade touches while evading the short but deadly reaches of certain opponents.

Contribution to the battle:

The blade isn't Alex's go to go signature weapon for nothing. It's the Deadliest on his arsenal. Being able to cut through anything within Alex's Universe with barely any effort and regularly moves it at speeds that the Human can't even comprehend. This weapon will slice and dice Alucard to mince meat like wet tissue paper to my finger nail.

Tendrils

No Caption Provided

The Tendrils was thought to be an ability unique to James Heller, replacing the Musclemass ability developed by Alex Mercer. But this was common Misconception. Mercer does indeed poses the Tendrils. As he demonstrated in his Final Boss Battle when he consumed all of his evolved at once. And when he used it to wear down Heller.

The Tendrils unleashed by Heller and Mercer, are capable of lifting and tearing apart cars and military vehicles, ensnaring powerful infected beasts, and even ripping large groups of enemies to shreds.

TENDRIL BLACK HOLE

No Caption Provided

In-Game icon. The Tendril Black Hole is a charged attack by which Heller shifts his mass onto a target within range, causing secondary tendrils to emerge from the epicenter and grab hold onto nearby objects. The Tendrils then quickly retract with said objects to smash into the target, causing significant damage towards even armored vehicles and helicopters. Lesser enemies like humans and infected rabble will be turned to mush. This ability can be executed even while airborne.Using the airborne Black Hole followed by a Hammerfist dive attack is very useful against tanks and some infected creatures (brawlers, juggernauts in some cases, etc.)The Tendrils are also a great defensive upgrade as they can be used to temporarily immobilize large enemies, like Brawlers and Juggernauts, which allows for dismemberment of their body parts and slowing them down.

TACTICAL OVERVIEW

The Tendrils power consists of two moves. One consists of Heller stringing together objects around him along with human-class enemies, using his biomass. They are immediately killed upon impact, with their corpses mutilated and torn apart while being held by the tendril mass that stick to the surroundings. Larger infected creatures are temporarily immobilized, giving Heller the option to strike a paralyzing blow, such as severing an arm with the Claws/Blade/Whipfist or executing a Dirt Nap, reminiscent of the unarmed consumption move from Prototype.

The second, more devastating move is the Tendril Black Hole, in which Heller and Mercer are capable of attaching Tendrils to a target, then sending out more Tendrils to pull objects around him towards his target, resulting in a devastating type explosion. That can also damage and even pull in other human-sized enemies.

Contribution to the battle

The Tendrills have great mid range and versatility.Able to entangle, trap or squish Alucard. And just in case Alucard gets traped. Mercer can always just consume Alucard easily.

Musclemass

No Caption Provided

The Musclemass power is an ability used exclusively by Alex Mercer in Prototype. While active, it boosts Alex's strength to immense proportions, increasing the damage done by melee attacks and thrown objects.

STRENGTHS

Musclemass increases Alex's melee damage twofold and increases the speed at which he strikes. At its base level, a charged attack will turn any human enemy it strikes into bloody chunks; once upgraded, even an accidental blow will cause this. Objects thrown with Musclemass will hit harder, fly further, and move faster than objects thrown at Alex's normal strength; upgrades will augment the distance. Though the game does not explicitly state it, all of Alex's Combat abilities, same for the Devastators, will be enhanced by the Musclemass. This fact of Musclemass makes it one of the most damaging powers in the game if used with the right abilities.

No Caption Provided

Musclemass is most effective when used on living targets; vehicles are resistant, unless used in conjunction with the Cannonball attack or Bullet Dive Drop. The various shockwave abilities can clear entire crowds in close proximity. Thrown enemies/objects will also hit much more accurately thanks to the speed increase.

Though Musclemass enhances the power of all combat class abilities, a few in particular benefit greatly from it. The Cannonball attack, augmented by Musclemass, can destroy a helicopter on any difficultly level with a charged attack. The Uppercut and its various add-on combo abilities also become extremely deadly, enough to reduce a Hunter to its recovery state with a single combo on Hard. Even the simple Air Kick can bring down a Helicopter in two hits, and will carry Alex much further than it normally does. Musclemass also has the power to greatly increase the damage of the Bullet Dive Drop. Executed correctly, this can be used to destroy multiple tanks simultaneously, without actually getting an exact hit on any of them, so long as they are in close proximity. It can also be used to destroy military bases or Hives with little to no concern for retaliation, save for Helicopters. Even the knocking damage from sprinting with a Shield or Armor power is enhanced, as well as other miscellaneous damaging acts, such as denting objects during parkour or even creating shockwaves from high falls.

Contribution to the battle:

Though not Alex most used power, but it is the most technical one. Increasing Alex's movement speed, attack speed and striking power. A punch from this can cause Alucard to combust. Even though Alex needs to get up close and personal for this to be put into great use. Alucard will be doing his best to keep distance with Alex at the beginning. But when he realizes that range simply wont cut it,he's gonna go up close and personal. Where he is literally outmatched in hand to hand skill. And will be torn apart by Alex's base punches alone. But augmented with Musclemass? He gets obliterated.

Hammerfists

No Caption Provided

The Hammerfists are the Prototypes' anti-vehicle ability. By shifting large amounts of biomass into his fists, Alex Mercer was able to create massive, hammer-like hands to crush his enemies with.

HAMMERFIST ELBOW SLAM

No Caption Provided

Hammerfist Elbow Slam is the second upgrade of Hammerfist. It is essentially the normal elbow slam maneuver with the upside of increased damage and area of effect, as well as not requiring the running up of a wall to execute. Like the Hammerfist Smackdown, this move can help in destroying armored vehicles and Hunters. In order to use this power, the Prototypes will have to gain some altitude, before dropping down on an enemy with a deadly force. The higher the altitude and attack charge, the more damaging the attack. Though from any altitude, any human enemy hit with attack or the schockwave will explode.

HAMMERTOSS

No Caption Provided

Hammertoss is the final upgrade for the Hammerfist. This upgrade helps to deal with airborne enemies, like the Gunships and UAVs to a great extent. It is also a handy way to toss Mercer over obstacles and clear out his landing area of any minor enemies.

HAMMERFIST SMACKDOWN

No Caption Provided

Hammerfist Smackdown, the first upgrade for the Hammerfists, is a slow but highly damaging slam attack. Capable of destroying armored vehicles with a single direct hit, but at the cost of attack speed. While charging the power, Mercer is susceptible to being interrupted by attacks. Otherwise, a fully charged attack has the effect of delivering two shocks upon anything within range.

Strengths

The Hammerfists are quite capable in anti-vehicle combat, as repeated strikes will lift APCs and tanks off the ground, preventing them from retreating. They are also quite useful against Hunters, especially Leader Hunters who will be stunned by the heavy strikes. Even Super Soldiers will quickly enter their blocking stance after sustaining a couple of shockwaves, which Alex can exploit to a grappling advantage.[great against super soliders and brawlers

Mercer doesn't need Claws to use his groundspikes

In close proximity, it can be used to clear large groups of human enemies quickly. If Alex charges up his punch, he can knock one enemy horizontally into another, instantaneously killing both enemies. He can also use a four strike combo that shatters the street and creates a shockwave dealing heavy damage to everything nearby.

In Prototype 2 it is also shown that Mercer can also summon groundspikes with his hammerfists. Adding great area range.

No Caption Provided

Weaknesses

The Hammerfists lack attack speed and is slower than any of his other abilities. Unless Alex strikes point-blank, enemies are liable to move out of range or retaliate before he can get a hit in. Armor, especially when moving, can be difficult to hit unless Alex gets in their path.

Though powerful, the Hammerfists are quickly eclipsed by Alex's other offensive powers in terms of damage over time. Though the Claws are weaker in most respects, Musclemass, the Blade, and even the Whipfist do more damage over longer periods thanks to their greater attack speed. Musclemass, used in conjunction with Alex's various combat moves, will do far more damage over time than the Hammerfists, with the added versatility of enhancing his throwing power.

Contribution to the battle:

Though slow and heavy. The Hammerfists are a very fatal tool against Alucard. If Alucard gets hit by this he can literary explode into chunky bits by the pure schockwave alone. Every blow this thing will launch at Alucard will turn him to bits of meat.

Deffensive Powers

Mercer can use two defensive powers, guarding him against enemy attacks and weapons. Mercer has two forms of defense, the Armor, and the Shield.

Armor

No Caption Provided

The Armor is the second defensive power of Alex Mercer. While in this form, he takes less damage, but the added density results in loss of movement speed and overall agility.

No Caption Provided

The Armor and Blade powers are unlocked after a few missions withDr. Bradley Ragland, who helped Alex remove a debilitatin gparasitic organism in Alex's back. Doing so allowed Alex to gain said powers.

The Armor provides an alternative to the Shield. Unlike the Shield, which completely negates frontal damage at the cost of having a temporarily finite ability to absorb punishment, the Armor significantly reduces all-round damage taken by Alex without losing effectiveness.

Even though it cannot deflect stray bullets like the shield in Prototype 1, it is still ideal for close combat, allowing Alex to go toe to toe with the strongest foes without quickly succumbing to large amounts of damage. Conversely, running from a fight is somewhat more difficult, and Alex's ability to dodge attacks is hampered.

Armor disables the ability to Glide. When sprinting, parkour stunts over many objects are disabled; though they can still climb buildings, while sprinting, they will smash through anything in their path, be it cars, humans (Infected or otherwise), or other small destructible obstacles.

Larger objects, like tanks and heavier barriers, will block his path. In addition, Alex will crush any human enemy he jumps on while the Armor is active, as if they were hit by Musclemass. It is automatically unlocked, along with the Blade, once the parasite is cured.

STRENGTHS AND BENEFITS

The Armor is a very effective defensive ability against fighting more powerful enemies because of the large amount of biomass that fully surrounds Alex's body and never breaking. Though it does not completely absorb damage like the shield does, instead, it simply reduces it to a very small fraction of the damage that Alex would normally experience without it during gameplay. While the armor is in use, Alex can effortlessly clear a path and power through most enemies and vehicles whenever and wherever he is sprinting. Unfortunately, Alex also cannot glide, diveroll, or perform any parkour maneuvers while the armor is active. However, he can still use his airdash and air recovery moves like he would normally.

WEAKNESSES AND LIMITATIONS

The Armor's main drawback is its massive decrease in overall mobility. Mercer's natural movement speed and jump height are both reduced while it is active, making it far more difficult to escape enemies than when it is not. The armor even takes away Mercer's Glide abilities, which makes dodging military rockets and parkouring over buildings much harder than normal.

Contribution to the battle:

While Alex might be slower with the armor on. But he's still faster than Alucard. It will be impossible for Alucard to even do anything to him by the slightest. His best weapon to use against Alex was Dandy Man's Cards. At won't be effective to Alex at base. But once Alex puts on his Armor,It will ultimately be useless like everything else within Alucard's Arsenal.

He won't be able to do anything by the slightest to Alex.

Shield

No Caption Provided

The Shield is one of the defensive powers developed by Alex Mercer. Unlike the Armor, Shield completely nullifies damage instead of merely reducing it, though only against projectile attacks directed to the front.

When using the Shield Power, a large amount of biomass is shifted to the left arm, molding it into a nigh-impenetrable black-biomass shield. It is normally not seen while Alex is standing still, and only as a mass on his shoulder, but is clearly shown when he is sprinting, targeting, or other more active moves. Unlike the Armor, mobility is not hindered when the Shield is active.

Effectiveness

No Caption Provided

The Shield blocks all incoming frontal projectile fire, or all-round melee attacks, until its damage threshold is reached, at which point it will shatter and require time to regenerate before it can be deployed again. It regenerates and becomes available again automatically in less than a second.

Diverolls will still be accessible and Alex will not be slowed by its presence. When sprinting with the Shield active, it is be deployed in front of Alex as a battering ram to push away cars and human-sized enemies, killing the latter instantly in most cases. Although larger enemies, such as Hunters or Armored Vehicles, will only be staggered by it.. It can withstand rifle fire indefinitely and block grenades,missiles,ect... It can stand up to a few hits from Hunters and Brawlers and D-Codes, though larger enemies like Bosses,Juggernauts,Goliath ect.. can brake the shield. Strangely, using the Shield results in no damage taken from Bloodtox.

Usage

No Caption Provided

Since the Shield is a defensive power, Alex may use it in conjunction with an offensive power to attack his enemies while staying protected, as the shield only comes into view in the case of running or being attacked. When hit by bullets, the Shield will deflect them randomly. In this manner, an entire squad of soldiers can be killed without any effort. Simply standing still will automatically manifest the shield and deflect their fire.

However, Mercer is capable of directing enemy projectiles against them. This includes missiles launched by strike teams or soldiers, which are able to be deflected towards a particular target. Alex can manifest spiked shields on both arms if necessary. This has the benefit of causing damage to enemies in melee range when a blocking move is timed correctly, in addition to the basic effect of stunning them.

Contribution to the battle

For Alucard the shield is indestructible. He is completely incapable of breaking it. His guns, his arms,RIP's bullet,Dandy Man's cards can't even hope to get past this. Especially if he uses his armor in combination. He will be an impossible to put down Juggernaut that even Nosferatu can't even hope to stop.

Critical Mass

No Caption Provided

Critical Mass is the excess amount of retained health, which can be used to create devastating area attacks. Damage dealt by enemies will first deplete the excess health before usual health of Alex Mercer.

CRITICAL MASS ABILITY

A core upgrade to the health meter, this ability helps in resisting attack damage and perform devastator attacks. it can be upgraded to increase the amount of biomass stored.

ADRENALINE SURGE

No Caption Provided

Adrenaline surge is a defense mechanism and the ultimate survivability safety net. When Biomass is almost depleted, Mercer gains a moment of invulnerability and access to a single devastator attack.

It's contribution to the battle

If Alucard somehow manages to turn things around against Alex. Somehow...And get's the best of him. As unlikely as it may seem, Mercer has a trump card in his belt that will render things in his favor. Mercer while low on biomass can pull up an unexpected Surprise and bust out a devastator on Alucard. Or take advantage of his moment of invulnerability to consume Alucard.

Sensory Powers

Sensory powers were unique sensory abilities developed by the Prototypes. These abilities could be utilized with other active offensive or defensive powers.

The first Prototype Alex Mercer had enhanced his senses in two ways. Mercer had developedThermal vision which granted him impeccable vision during battle where thick smoke would otherwise impeded his vision, but would also help him see his targets due to their body's temperature.

His second sensory ability was the Infected vision, which allowed him to detect dormant carriers of the Blacklight virus, while providing similar tactical advantages of the thermal vision

Infected vision

No Caption Provided

Infected Vision allows Alex to see the world as the Infected see it and tune into the Hive Mind itself. Alex uses this ability to spot enemies at range, and pick out hostile entities from simple bystanders. This sense reduces most sound, and dulls visual details to enable Alex to highlight and pick out every potential target from a given environment in the world.

Thermal vision

No Caption Provided

Thermal Vision is a type of sensory power obtained by Alex Mercer. It allows him to view targets and objects past smoke and/or past obstacles.

Thermal vision is effective when used to highlight intense and/or biologically generated heat to see past debris, smoke andBloodtox. It can be used to track Infected, military, police and pedestrians at the cost of a limited visual range. Thermal vision is highly useful in two of Alex's missions to destroy several Bloodtox blowers which will be used to eliminate the Infected.

The difference between Infected vision and Thermal vision mainly lies in what it filters out. Thermal vision filters out smoke and other visual obstructions, while Infected Vision highlights enemies much more clearly.

Hunting

No Caption Provided

It is presumed but still unproven that Mercer developed the sensory power called Hunting that allows him to pinpoint his target, while allowing him to sense if he was being watched. He is immune to being tracked by other Evolved with this ability. And only Evolved that have this ability cannot be tracked. So we can assume that Mercer has it as well.

Hunting is a new ability developed by James Heller and several other Evolve which he uses to hunt his targets. This ability allows Heller and Mercer to "ping" trenches, buildings, and facilities for human targets.

When activated, Heller and Mercer are capable of sending a viral sonar pulse to isolate their target among a group. This power can be mutated to detect targets at large distances. As this ability evolves, Heller and Mercer can see through his targets and detect if they were being watched And they can even see their nervous system.

Contribution to the battle:

This will help Alex greatly keep track of Alucard an his familiars. They will literally not get off his sight. He will know exactly where Alucard is at all times. He cannot hide,he cannot escape.

I think that's enough for now. Next rebuttal of mine might be my last. That was a lot of work. Let me go right into conclusions.

My conclusions

OverallAlucard can barely hurt AlexEverything Alex can do can tear apart AlucardAlex

To Sum it all up

  • Mercer has the edge in CQC combat.
  • If both find themselves with Firearms only one will get to feel the pain of the bullets. And that's Alucard
  • Alucard's familiars still won't do anything to Alex/
  • Everything Alex can do will tear apart Alucard
  • Alex can instantly consume Alucard. Since he already consumed beings with Superior stats instantly
  • Alex has the edge on speed on the floor.
  • Alucard himself can't even hope to hurt Alex.
  • Alucard can't outrun Alex on foot.
  • Alex is too durable to be hurt by anything within Alucard's arsenal.
  • Alucard will be tagged.
  • Nothing on Alucard's arsenal has the substantial force needed to actually hurt Mercer.
  • Mercer's transformations can pretty much make the battle one-sided.
  • Alucard can't get though Alex's shield or Armor.
  • Alex still has a lot more tricks up his sleeve

Basically. Alucard has some awesome abilities and his resourceful. But he lacks the force necessary to deal the necessary damage to Alex to stand a chance to win. He is seriously overrated at times. Mercer simply consumes Alucard. End of the day. He moves on. If Alucard somehow comes back he will have to deal with an even more powerful Alex Mercer with knowledge on him.

Your move.

@dygoboy: It will be, since we have one more round for conclusions, and then it's time for voting.

I was out of town this weekend, so no time to work on my post. Should have it up tomorrow probably. You will get a new tag when I am done.
