• Win by tagging the people in the gauntlet once before they tag Carol 10 times. Must tag the character in the gauntlet with physical attacks and cannot stun another character with energy attacks or by throwing an object. For the purposes of this thread being tagged is defined by punching, kicking, tackling, or head butting. The tag doesn't have to damage someone to count obviously.

How far does she make it?

Is Carol that slow in terms of combat speed?

Well we'll see how this turns out. I am curious if she is a legitimate speedster. I don't see how this gauntlet suggests she is slow though. Quicksilver is one of the fastest characters on 616 marvel earth.

@jashro44: 9 out of the 10 people In the gauntlet are street levelers. That's suggesting her speed inept or if she has Thor like speed.

@jashro44: Do the characters know that they only need to tag her 10 times and that they cannot be hit? I think that makes a huge difference. A lot of characters do not actively avoid being tagged if they know they can tank the hit.

They know they have to tag her 10 times. They can still be hit. Carol just has to tag them once.

I don't think iron man is that fast. The whole reason he upgraded to extremis was because he couldn't deal with Mallens speed. When Mallen fled the scene during his first fight with iron man he was clocked at 300MPH. Tony did stomp him when he upgraded to extremis but I don't think his current/later armors are as fast as extremis.

@jashro44: I'm not an Iron Man expert so fair enough(I've also seen street levelers like Taskmaster have no trouble with his speed), but I've seen @noone1996 and @krleavenger post some lightning speed feats for him as well

Stops at 6 if Iron Man is aware of what is happening. He can avoid her long enough to win under these stipulations with knowledge.

@jashro44: Mallen's travel speed has nothing to do with his combat/reflex speed. Besides, I'm pretty sure he ran from Houston to Washington D.C. in less than a day. He even stopped to talk to that girl for a couple minutes too, so I highly doubt 300 mph is his max speed.

putting quicksilver here should be considered spite anyway.

According to google it takes about 21 hours to drive from houston to Washington. I assume it would be quicker if Mallen didn't have to run on the road and didn't have to deal with traffic and stuff (also the max speed of the average car is 200MPH and you probably would be limited to the speed limit). While I get there is a difference between being fast and running fast I doubt Mallen punches and kicks thousands of times faster than his running speed. I don't think Mallen can fight at hypersonic speeds.

I mean to be clear running 300 MPH is still above street level IMO. I just don't think iron mans reflexes are as fast as lightning which was the initial claim.

@jashro44: Yes , Namor has Mach 5 + reaction/combat speed which is pretty impressive , he even tagged Speed Demon (after getting a few hits) , which makes me say that Carol might have some problem with Namor.Same goes for Tony.

Yeah , he will , but both Tony and Namor are more aggressive fighters than him.

That list is mostly based off travel speed and pretty unreliable

@jashro44: I mean he was a blur on Iron Man's pre-Extremis targeting computer and he was capable of catching a punch from Extremis Iron Man, so I highly doubt his combat speed is only in the high hundreds of mph.

Yes. He's created tornadeos with his speed, thrown hundreds of punches in a fraction of a second, etc. In his first appearance Spider-man tried to web him and restrain him but speed demon was fast enough to run while carrying him.

Before we continue do you believe iron man has hypersonic reflexes?

I am relatively certain there are at least 2 or 3 instances of her out-reacting Spiderman and grabbing/tagging him with ease.

I also know she has blitzed Gamora, Hulk, and Grey Gargoyle in the past.

I also think there are two instances of Wonder Man being mind controlled and bloodlusted against her. And I believe in the first instance (I wanna say it was Ultron? I remember it was classic era) she was holding bag significantly because she didn't want to hurt him, as they were dating off/on at the time. Yet she was having only mid-difficulty outpacing and reacting to him. Eventually she went all out and stomped him IIRC.

However, she's also kind of a damage soak.
