Cap for a slight majority
They're close everywhere but Steve has better stats outside of (potentially) speed and agility.
BP's suit doesn't totally protect him from blunt force trauma and he was still taking damage from the punches. Mostly better stats and a better weapon (shield>claws) allow Rogers to overcome T'challa. It'll be hell for both of them though.
So Black Panther is stronger than Captain America, that's nice.
http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/records/raw/world
The 3 strongest drug tested world-record holding powerlifters:
Black Panther was shown as a tad bit stronger in the first Marvel Handbook edition. (Cap was stated to "lift/press 800 lbs with great effort" while Black Panther was stated to be able to "lift/press 800 lbs".
Plus Steve was really scrawny and frail when he received the super-soldier treatment. I haven't seen the mive but I assume T'Challa was quite healthy and probably nearly peak human to begin with simply from the genetics of T'Chakas bloodline.
Need more feats for Panther. For now I'll say Cap.
I don't know why people are saying Panther. They fought briefly and Cap was clearly shown to have the edge in skill. It's close but Cap just has more concrete feats at the moment..
I smell a CAV apocolaypse after BP's movie
Also probably Cap. They are similar everywhere but Cap has more expirence with Tchalla being new to the job
@stormshadow_x: He wasn't new to the job though was he? He said he was already the Black Panther, but that he had only just become King.

I suppose but My understanding of the comics and assumed the movie you can't be one without the other.

Yeah, I was thinking that too whilst watching, but it doesn't seem to be the case in the MCU, he said so to Black Widow.
Toss up. Panther was more agile and slightly faster but Steve was stronger and has the better weapon. Skill was about even, if I'd give the nod to Cap it'll be because of the shield.
What makes you say Panther was faster? Steve didn't seem to have any problems keeping up and was countering/dodging his attacks just fine. Also keep in mind that he was also having to fend off Rhodes as well, who tried to blindside him
Panther
@gxrevolution: He just seemed swifter in combat and more agile to me from all of his fights, never said Cap couldn't keep up, I know he clearly could.
Fair enough. Yh, Iike how they depicted his fighting style. He was very acrobatic.
@samjackson: Why do you say Steve?
I honestly think that BP is more faster and agile. And their strength is about the same. I would say BP's is more skilled tbh, but Cap's shield is a huge advantage, as he can block BP easier. But I still would say BP but we'll see what he does in his solo movie.
@gxrevolution: Where did you get those clips?
I am not sure why some people are saying Panther wins.
They already fought and Cap overpowered him despite being in a 2v1 situation
@js_the_beast: Because he already had the upperhand against him IMO even while Panther had WM to back him up. Cap can block his claw strikes with his shield or dodge them and Cap's already been shown to adapt to Panther's fighting style.
I think Panther takes it. He seems faster and more agile, and the Suit has insane durability. Cal seemed to be winning but there was never a definitive victor and it seemed apparent Panther could have definitely kept going. His advantages just seem more numerous. I'm still just happy they nailed his portrayal though.
Wow.... From what I've seen so far they made cap into a god in this movie they don't even need the avengers anymore just send captain America against thanos
Wow, did they really make Captain America beat Black Panther?
Wow.
Based on the above comments he just kicked him aside and they ended up fighting other people.
Cap, better feats in all area. This has already happened in the movie but the difference is that BP won't have War Machine here for backup
I think you guys forgot that BP also kicked Cap earlier both of them manage to land a single kick again each other so how exactly is Cap superior again?
@war_of_light_2814: Because Cap did it when Panther was having WM's help
@tsol: BP didn't need WM for backup. He rather interfered tbh.
@js_the_beast: BP also got hits on Cap so why make it seem like Cap is superior. They both got hits on each other.
@tsol: War Machine contributed nothing ,he's only in the fight for ten seconds max and BP land a kick before Rhodey was there anyway.
@leo-343: essentially my feelings on the matter. Not that it has any bearing on the fight, but in turns of run speed do you think the order goes bucky>tchalla>Steve. It seems nobody could catch bucky on foot, both Steve and tchalla hopped on vehicles while bucky only had a marginal head start over tchalla.
