Cap wins when it comes to inanimate objects, or helicopters.

Bats when it comes to enemies.

I'd say they are equal in this regard. Both have crazy feats of marksmanship.

I can't say for sure who is better. I can say that I would rather take a batarang to the noggin over a twelve pound shield that can smash trucks and copters.

I'd say Captain America is a better marksman than Batman. I have yet to see Batman pull off anything as impressive as what Cap did with that lighter.

Captain America is a specialist....everything he does..he does with that Shield.

Well to be fair to cap he has tagged spider-man before. In amazing 687 he knocked an ice pellet out of spider-mans hands (his skills were being reduced due to mind control as stated in the issue), and suepioer spider-man team up he tagged Otto.

So cap is pretty good at tagging enemies.

I think these feats are pretty good:

His feats are mainly with his shield to my knowledge.

@jashro44: Those scans are ok...but they're not comic book top notch marksman material. The knife throwing bit isn't particularily impressive at all...real world knife throwers can do that and more.

The shield lighter feat was ridiculous. Is he consistent with that kind of precision though? Or was that a fluke? Any more scans of him showing accuracy with something so delicate?

Batman is better, Captain is great with his sheild and all... But Batman throws grappling hooks up buildings and shoots them, uses batarangs to take down countless foes, in the event that he uses a gun which is rare, he seems to be a fantastic shot. And Batman has thrown a few other things too but I'm not going to go on a wild goose chase to see what he threw at people. Coffee Mugs?

After looking at those scans I'm leaning toward Batman since there's a variety in what he's using.

The question was: "Who has better accuracy feats with there respective weaponry?"

The Shield is Captain America's Weaponry. For the most part...he doesn't use anything else.

@shawnbaby: Uhh I'm not sure about this one. I think Batman has taken most of his opponents with batarangs BUT! Those were special batarangs like explosive or something. The normal ones are used for taking down the joker or any other guy he comes across. The explosive are for taking down mech suits or something and doesn't require as much accuracy than the average ones. So with various weapons it is Batman. With main weaponry it's Captain America.

That's the difference. Captain America is a Specialist. Batman is more of a Jack of All Trades type.

Captain America. Batman is more accurate with more gear, but Cap is like a sniper. His shield is not a tool, it is not a weapon, it is an extension of himself. That shield does what Cap wants, when he wants it to happen. Captain America is like the sniper who trains with his rifle, his one tool. He becomes perfect with it. The shot is an afterthought.

It is damn scary how close these two are in all their categories.

Just thought I'd share a particularly extreme Cap feat:

Cap uses his shield to deflect one tiny bullet from a mind-controlled Bucky, to hit the villain who was controlling him:

@veshark: That's hilarious.

Not the feat itself, that's pretty awesome, but the whole sequence of events leading to Corruptor getting shocked by the ricocheted bullet hitting that NOTiPhone.

This is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.

Cap probably takes it since throwing things is his thing, but I just want to post Batman being a little homicidal with his aim.

I don't know if somebody mentioned it yet, but in the somewhat hokey Marvel vs DC mega-crossover of the 90s, Batman was actually pitted against Cap, so a fight between them exists in comics. They fought to a standstill, but eventually Batman hit Cap in the head with a batarang while Cap--gasp!--missed with the shield. Admittedly they were in a sewer and an unexpected disposal caught them off guard. Or Batman planned it that way; I could never tell. Mostly they were both too smart to really want to fight each other, unlike Hulk and Superman who had more of a "well, it's too bad we have to--" PUNCH! SLAM! PUNCH! encounter.

Anyway, I know you don't necessarily mean who has more mastery of his device in a versus capacity, but, it's the one comic I can think of that will give you a clear vote, in this case for Batman. (Fear the pink TANG!)

No Caption Provided

As for my opinion... I guess Cap is more impressive because he does it all with one device and it has to come back to him in the end or else he's out of a shield. It's sort of like the difference between playing baseball and billiards. Cap is always playing billiards. Sometimes Batman is just throwing a batarang at your head. So if it's just batarang vs shield, I go with Cap for skill. Not that he would win against Batman, just that it's more impressive what he does with the shield. But Bruce gets my overall vote for mastering a range of devices, having to be accurate with smaller objects, and also the moral high-ground for doing it as a normal human.

On topic, how's Steve with firearms? Legitimate question since he was trained as a soldier, and I doubt the US Army skipped over firearms training just so Steve can just sling around a shield against the Axis powers.

You'd think that a guy that can slice an ICBM in half, snap off a helicopter's main rotor, slice through a tank's turret ring, and apparently ricochet a point blank shot off of two shields to hit a NOTiPhone meters away would have the hand-eye coordination and nerves to match Bullseye's accuracy feats.

@batmannflash One of the Siege issues of New Avengers, I believe. The art is gorgeous, no?

@vmole Hah, yeah. On the topic of firearms though, Beast once commented that Cap is a weapons master who could master any weapon in seconds.

No Caption Provided

And here's a scan from the (awkward) Good Morning America interview where Bucky was 'interviewed', and he has this to say about Steve and guns:

No Caption Provided

Overall, Steve has used firearms in WWII, his time as the head of global security, and I believe in Fear Itself too. I assume he's a decent shot, but we haven't seen much.

@gambitvoleur If memory serves, that crossover was dependent on fan-votes to see who won, so there's that.

@gambitvoleur: all the fight outcomes in Marvel vs DC were decided by popular vote...so of course Batman won. Also, Storm beat Wonder Woman, Wolverine beat Lobo, and Spider-Man beat Superboy. Regardless, crossovers are non-canon anyway. And that Crossover in particular is probably the worst one to ever bring up around these parts.

As for the thread at hand. Both are evenly accurate in my opinion.
