It's not exactly impressive, so easily

That was a direct hit to the ground, Thor had caused more damage from his shockwaves from hitting malekith

Hahaha comparing Mother box to vibrainium

Thor's feats are so much better than Cyborg's so I can't see your point.

@g2_: well cyborg's metal was able to tank superman's heat vision and the motherbox energies that briefly hurt superman. Hrs definitely very durable. Point is cutting into cyborg has no relation to thor's resistance to it considering he's been injured by much less

Probably won't kill him him, but will sure put him to sleep. People is delusional thinking that every hit to the face Thor took from Hulk is the same as the one that stopped the Leviathan... Plus, Thor has never tanked something of this magnitude directly to the head.

The Sokovia blast discredits your position. Captain America actually thought it would kill Thor, but it didn't.

@thorrulesyou: 'Discredits my position'. A bit arrogant of a statement that is. Again, he never took a hit like that to the face/head, if any, the main impact from Sokovia's explosion was taken by Thor's feet/lower portion of his body. Taking an axplosion coming from under your feet is absolutely not the same as taking a swing from a weapon that shatters the earth and even brings magma from below directly to the head. So 'discredited', my butt.

It's a factual statement. The Sokovia explosion makes that look hilariously weak by comparison.

Only problem with Wolfe's axe is that it has that sort of anti-feat against Batman's tank thing. All in all, if we assume Stephen can charge up the axe

when striking, it makes more sense.

In the end, I think Wolfe's axe wasn't about sharpness, but being made of a durable material + heat. So it'd be more like Thor needing to endure a vicious downward elbow.

The blast from Sokovia is dozens of times more powerful and makes up for whatever difference you're trying to bicker about. That's a fact.

If Thor was lying on the ground and just had to tank Steppenwolf smashing him in the face like that, I'm not sure he'd survive, but maybe he could. Also, I can't figure out why Steppenwolf didn't do this attack more often in the film. Seems like it would've been useful...

This is not how it works. If Steppenwolf hits a piece of paper and fails to break it, that is a feat for the paper? What? Cyborg's durability needs to be proven and Steppenwolf's ax does as well. Otherwise, you'd have to assume that Steppenwolf's ax is strong AND that Cyborg is really durable without any evidence.

So unless Steppenwolf has feats of destroying durable things your argument fails.

@thorrulesyou: Username checks out.

Explosive force and heat durability isn't piercing durability. Thor lacks in that department (but not as much as Wonder Woman or Spider-Man.)

@thespartanb345t: actually it is a feat for cyborg because of what happened in that gif and the rock in themyscira, so yea, if he fails to break a piece of paper considering what happened in that gif then the conclusion would be that the paper is more durable than it looks. and we already know the axe is extremely durable considering diana couldn't cut through it

That's hardly a fair argument when you consider Justice League is Cyborg's movie appearance in the DCEU. And your example is pretty bad, because we do have feats for Steppenwolf that prove he is strong(just look at the gif in the OP) so we do know that his ax is strong, and his not one shotting Cyborg isn't an anti feat by default.
