I doubt so. Asgardian swords can pierce Hela so pretty sure they can go through Thanos' body as well, and he lacks regen + effective ranged attacks. Tbh even Thor would be better for this than a brick like Thanos.

His armor can probably stop their swords, but I strongly doubt that his skin will tank Asgardian weapons

Yes. I doubt fodder will be carrying swords that can pierce high tiers, or even have the strength to put them to good use if they get the chance.

Didn't he already solo asgard at the beginning of infinity war? And they had thor + loki when that happened, i dont see how this is any different.

Not really he had the Black Order helping him and Hela killed most of the defenders/defenses so the Remnants of Asgard are drastically less numerous and powerful.

Well as you said that was only a glancing blow, so if Thor took a better hit at the armor it would do a lot more damage.It depends on how much better Stormbreaker is than Asgardian swords.

Thanos dies.. He probably last a minute tops, those soldiers all carry weapons that can kill him so he's not surviving hundreds of Asgardians via skill alone.

That means there would only be around a thousand soldiers at all times in Asgard.

Maybe 3,000 if you assume that they left none stationed on Earth and after the ice giant homeworld was destroyed the other thousand were stationed in Asgard.

I'm pretty sure that he can.

Asgard's arsenal includes :

-Several thousands ~Cap level fodder soldiers armed with slightly modified melee weapons .

-A few dozen skiffs whose fire power was proven to be useless agaisnt the High tiers such as in the case with Hela and Fenris.

-Lastly , about a dozen Anti-Air crafts cannons that can't even shoot a ground based target like Thanos.

In short , aside from apparent "planet busting " Bifrost tech and one heavy hitter which is Thor plus a few magic users like Loki , Helmdal , Frigga and Odin . Asgard has the military/home defense power of a third world nation or worse since they are hilariously low on man power , has a limited and fairly unimpressive air force and Artilery with subpar fire power .

I'll say this though , they are still better than Wakanda even without their heavy hitters and high end planetary tech . But as it stands , Thanos still stomp Asgard in this scenario
