Can Galadriel defeat the balrog?

Galadriel takes Gandalf's place in moria and holds the bridge of Khazad Dum against Durin's Bane. Will she fall like gandalf did or will she succeed in vanquishing it?

Well, Glorfindel successed in such task (or almost,lol).

However, I'd say lady G does not have feat to apply.

@joshtaku: Well, Glorfindel was an elite regarding physical power, and apart from that, he was also shown to be feared by the King of Angmar when arriving to assist the last king of Gondor---in addition to that, he came back from Valinor with the Istaris, so that definitely said something. Lady G on the other hand has broken the seal of Dol Guldur after Sauron's defeat (and being mentioned by Tolkien as powerful for various times), but that was off-panel. In theory, lady G has equal or more amount of power in comparison with Glorfindel, given the fact that her purpose kind of served as Melian's, but we could never know.

Magically she likely could but I'm not sure she could physically match the Balrog at the same time.

Previous elves like Faenor were able to kill Balrogs. No reason why a powerful magical users like Galadriel can't do it.
