During the time of the books? I'd go with Royce, IIRC Brynden's martial prowess at the time of the books isn't remarked upon, but Royce was still beating Thoros and Ned/Rodrik. In his youth Brynden might take it. It would be between him and Royce.

Good fight, I like the use of these characters who aren't widely discussed! I will go with Bronze Yohn Royce for a decent majority, maybe takes it 7/10. I never got the impression that Randyll was any better than slightly above average, and while I believe that the Blackfish was a much better fighter, he wasn't as good as Royce. As some of my contemporaries have said, Royce has defeated the likes of Thoros and others, proving his single combat prowess.

Also, @the_wspanialy: thanks for the shout out! Keep putting out fights like this and you will be at the top in no time :D

Royce is often mentioned when talking about high tiers, so I will go with him.

Young Brynden would win, but if it's book versions, then Royce.

Royce. His prowess was demonstrated nicely at the Tourney of the Hand and he was described by Sansa as being as large as the Hound, which is substantially larger than either Randyll or Brynden.

I don't think Randyll was ever said to be some remarkable warrior, all we know is that he is a brilliant commander. Even Heartsbane shouldn't be an amp for him. It's a greatsword and should be too cumbersome for him to use (even though it's Valyrian Steel), if we take Ned and Ice for comparison.

Tully was pretty legendary in his heyday, legendary enough for young Jaime to idolize him. He earned great renown in the War of the Ninepenny Kings, but we don't know if he was necessarily a great fighter or maybe just a great commander, like Randyll or Stannis. Currently, in his older years, he hasn't had the feats to show if he's still in shape either way. So yeah, Royce wins this one.

I think that Greatjon Umber could be a good fight for Bronze Yohn Royce.

Welle if all in their prime ,i think Brynden can maybe win.

If this is the ''old'' version warriors, Royce win.

Im assuming we are talking about relative prime versions.

Ill say Royce as well. Brynden is probably the best mix of fighter and general and while he has supposedly been in 50 battles or so, the indications seem to be that he was largely cutting down nobody soldiers. Royce has some good sparring and melee wins. If there is an argument against Royce it would be that his best feats seem to be in non real combat situations. One could also argue tht Brynden would just put an arrow through Royce and call it a day.

Randy is a non factor.

Bronze Yohn gets my vote. He's much larger than either of the other two combatants. He's shown skillin melees and defeated Ned and Rodrik presumedly at the same time

We do know that Tully was a great warrior once upon a time but his time is long over.

Yohn Royce is supposed to be pretty massive and skilled. I'll give him the win overall. He'd probably be followed by Randyll Tarly. He loves war and has a valyrian steel sword to use. Blackfish would probably be the worst of this group.

A peak Brynden may take this. Royce is going to be tough though. I feel Brynden has better real-combat experience. Close....

Royce. Randyll doesn't have hype or feats in single combat while Brynden's hype isn't specific enough..
