all haxes allowed, who wins
Vs
Brook should logically win. Im sure he's faster and his cut worse than a human. He also can't get Genjutsu'd since he's dead and by the time Itachi understands that he should be opened up
Brook wins in a pretty good fight. Brook could possibly blitz though. Itachi wouldn't use Susanoo and it would be too late by the time he did
Has it ever been stated you had to be alive for genjustsu to work on you. I’m pretty sure Edo Tenseis could be trapped in genjustsu.
There's only been a couple instances of Genjutsu working on an edo
1. Itachi using Kotoamatsukami on himself (He wanted this to happen though so kinda iffy)
2. Itachi telling Sasuke to put him under Genjutsu (Same as above)
3. I think Kabuto's sound based Genjutsu worked on Itachi
The point is though, all the above had eyes.
Also brook still sees out of those socket of his he’s not blind like let’s say Fujitora
That's the power of fiction, no eyes = no optic nerve = no genjutsu.
@Sup3rn0va: and yet kabutos genjutsu works through the ears, and apart from sharingan all other genjutsu Don't require you to have eyes, plus normal genjutsu works on edo tensei, and izanami (which itachi also uses worked on a man who closed his eyes through out the fight)
@Sup3rn0va: and yet kabutos genjutsu works through the ears
How is this relevant to Itachi, Kabuto specifically used sound based Genjutsu
, and apart from sharingan all other genjutsu Don't require you to have eyes
Okay?
, plus normal genjutsu works on edo tensei
The only times visual Genjutsu have worked on an Edo is when the victim wanted it to work on them.
, and izanami (which itachi also uses worked on a man who closed his eyes through out the fight)
Itachi isn't using Izanami in character, he only used it against Kabuto because it was the only way to undo the Reanimation Jutsu. Also, Brook can pretty much blitz Itachi.
@Sup3rn0va: kotoamatsukami worked on itachi and the jinchuriki were controlled by obito, regardless of their struggling.
@Sup3rn0va: kotoamatsukami worked on itachi
Again as I said, he wanted it to work on him.
and the jinchuriki were controlled by obito, regardless of their struggling.
He wasn't controlling them with Genjutsu
@Sup3rn0va: he wanted it to work on sasuke, him encountering shisuis genjutsu was an accident he never intended to happen, kotoamatsukami is stronger than tsukiyomi hence itachi was affected.
he was actually, thats the reason the bijuu still had their minds intact from time to time (kokuo tried to kill obito) edo tensei can't defy command at all (the biju were given to jinchuriki) and obito controlled them both.
@Sup3rn0va: he wanted it to work on sasuke, him encountering shisuis genjutsu was an accident he never intended to happen
He wanted it to happen when he saw the Crow clone come out of Naruto.
, kotoamatsukami is stronger than tsukiyomi hence itachi was affected.
I know Kotoamatsukami is stronger than Tsukuyomi, but how does this have anything to do with this battle.
he was actually, thats the reason the bijuu still had their minds intact from time to time (kokuo tried to kill obito) edo tensei can't defy command at all (the biju were given to jinchuriki) and obito controlled them both.
No. He was controlling them with the black rods, this was explained in the manga.
@Sup3rn0va: when the crow came out it was already too late, whether he'd want or not, shisui genjutsu activates whether you look in his eyes or not, it was set to appear when naruto saw itachis mangekyou sharingan, itachi even tells naruto after they defeated nagato that his intent was for it to be used on sasuke.
it worked on an edo tensei, the fact that it worked at all means it works, the fact that you're arguing that it worked because itachi wanted implies that if itachi didn't want it to he would have to try to resist it.
he used these to control the corpses of the jinchuriki to make his chakra flow in them and create the six paths of obito, his chakra flowing in them to control their every move.
GENJUTSU: To send your chakra into another and controll their senses, and actions.
obito put his chakra in another person and controlled their senses and actions.
PAIN: Jiraiya's genjutsu worked on the paths of pain (they were literally moving corpses, unlike edo tensei that actually have a consciousness).

Yes, what I mean is, it's not like he tried resisting or fighting Kotoamatsukami.
it worked on an edo tensei, the fact that it worked at all means it works, the fact that you're arguing that it worked because itachi wanted implies that if itachi didn't want it to he would have to try to resist it.
That's exactly what I'm arguing.

What did I just read?Obito never used any Genjutsu to control them
PAIN: Jiraiya's genjutsu worked on the paths of pain (they were literally moving corpses, unlike edo tensei that actually have a consciousness).
Few things here
1. That was auditory Genjutsu
2. It was sage enhanced Genjutsu
3. Stated by the toad that it's the strongest Genjutsu the toads have, so obviously it's no joke.
4. The paths of pain share Nagato's Consciousness.
@Sup3rn0va: even if he tried he would fail, kotoamatsukami can't be broken by itachi.
how does this help your argument, it only means, that if the target has np way of resisting they get genjutsu'd.
it works the same way, pains chakra rods make people see his rinnegan and they can't control their own chakra, plus it stops their movement.
if the rods allow obito control and thats all it took, why couldn't he control the eight tails.
few things that are wrong.
1. its genjutsu no the less, unless you want to suddenly say its only visual that doesn't affect edo tensei which is still nonsense since you already admit the edo still has to resist or allow.
2. genjutsu non the less.
3. still genjutsu
4. the paths are puppets he controls and sees and speaks through, you think their senses are connected to his? if they were he wwould die from the pain he'd feel when they get hit, ibiki tried torturing chukushodo, how did that work out, without nagato they are corpses. when genjutsu is used on them they feel the effects (the real nagato didn't stop. moving when jiraiya used his genjutsu and niether did the other pains), when they die he doesn't, if he stops sending chakra they drop.
@Sup3rn0va: even if he tried he would fail, kotoamatsukami can't be broken by itachi.
Edo immunity to visual Genjutsu. Again, the only time Visual Genjutsu worked on an Edo is when the person wanted it to work.
how does this help your argument, it only means, that if the target has np way of resisting they get genjutsu'd.
What?

if the rods allow obito control and thats all it took, why couldn't he control the eight tails.
1. 8 Tails wasn't sealed inside the Gedo Mazo at this point
2. The Tailed beasts are covered in chains aswell as the rods
3. He was losing control once the Bijuu transformed into their normal state, that's why he pulled them back into the Gedo Mazo.
few things that are wrong.
1. its genjutsu no the less, unless you want to suddenly say its only visual that doesn't affect edo tensei which is still nonsense since you already admit the edo still has to resist or allow.
I never said "they have" to resist or allow Genjutsu, I'm saying that if an Edo wants Genjutsu to work on them then it will.
2. genjutsu non the less.
Sage enhanced Genjutsu which honestly makes it one of the strongest Genjutsu in the verse
3. still genjutsu
4. the paths are puppets he controls and sees and speaks through, you think their senses are connected to his?
You say he see's through them and then immediately say their senses aren't connected to his... You're contradicting yourself.
if they were he wwould die from the pain he'd feel when they get hit, ibiki tried torturing chukushodo, how did that work out,
Pain isn't a sense
without nagato they are corpses.
Yep
when genjutsu is used on them they feel the effects (the real nagato didn't stop. moving when jiraiya used his genjutsu and niether did the other pains),
This is just one of the things Kishimoto never bothered explaining. You'd think if he controls them with Chakra and that Nagato's chakra gets disturbed then he'd also be under the Genjutsu since all their Chakra's are linked.
when they die he doesn't, if he stops sending chakra they drop.
I never said otherwise.
Brook speedblitz and one shots, he's almost immortal and in his soul king form he can soul steal but he doesn't use that in character
Itachi can use amateratsu to turn him into ash, also sharingan manipulation and Susanoo would not be able to be overcome by Brook.
Not sure if this is meant as a serious post but there is noone in the Straw Hats who would stand a chance against Itachi, just amateratsu is more than enough to turn Brook into ash, let alone using sharingan manipulation or Susanoo.
Not sure if this is meant as a serious post but Luffy/Zoro/Sanji/Jinbe no diff Itachi, Brook beats him and Franky probably does aswell.

^same guy who says meruem is above everyone in one piece, lol where are all these trolls crawling out from
Idk if brooke can blitz faster than itachi can put of susanoo. Also amaterasu would basically an insta win.
I don't think Itachi can put brook in a genjutsu because he lacks any human systems at all but brook isn't blitzing anyone here. He gets turned to ash by Itachi's amaterasu and none of brook's illusions are going to have an iota of affect on Itachi.
Brook doesn't seem to have much durability and heat resistance feats, Itachi can always use fire style and he can use amaterasu instantly, it doesn't take any time.
Not to mention clone tactics, substitution, exploding clones and other jutsu that brook cannot do anything against. Itachi is super intelligent and can also go for Izanami or Izanami both of which don't require his opponent to see his eyes or anything like that.
Brook gets wrecked.
@earendill: quote 1 person that said Brooke can hurt Susano.
Most of the arguments are Brooke is faster so he can blitz and end it early.
Lol to brook being faster than itachi. He is not gonna blitz him. Brook's captain and vice captain blitzed by a dude who can reach to 200km/h as his top speed. And the big mom who blitzed by brook was trying to catch a ship that has no engine on it only go with the wind currents 😁😂 . And big mom chased that thing for 48 hours on straight. OP bois are delusional as ever. Itachi faster, much starter, much more versatile, has better range and hax, amaterasu and totsuga could be use for gg but i dont think its necessary.
Itachi with low diff.
Brook still speedblitz
Itachi is at best lightning timer speed lvl whereas brook's wci arc feat puts him above that lvl putting him at a speed tier where he should be capable of statuing lightning while moving. He has the most impressive lightning timing feat in the HST

Lol at this.
I'm sorry, but which speed are you talking about? What are the speed feats in the One Piece universe?
It took 8 panels for Doflamingo to reach the Straw Hat ship, which was immobile and anchored.
Big Mom, one of the four Yonkou, was too slow to capture and destroy a sailing ship for more than 48 hours.
So really, lol.

Brook intercepted lighting at near point blank range which is a better quantifiable speed feat than anything Itachi has if I'm not mistaken

Lol.
First of all, this is not ''speed feats''. Brook doesn't run from lightning. He gets hit.Aaand Brook says lightning won't hurt him because he's a bone.
Secondly, I don't think you know that even the Genins in Naruto are fast enough to cut lightning. Genin - kid Kakashi cuts the lightning from with Chidori, and then Chidori is called Raikiri.
@earendill: kid kakashi was a jonin and we have no idea how old he was when he cut the lightning.
