What prevents Star-Lord from doing the same thing with his dual blasters? He's pretty quick at the draw and his blasts can create holes in people.

So far I know, Star Lord captured The Fallen One because the Fallen One was destroying a bunch of planets around the universe which were a target by Galactus, in order to weaken him or let him starve, he is a Galactus Herald and a very strong one, at least above many other of his Heralds.

With this, I'm not saying that Star Lord is beyond a planet buster rank, but due to his tech and tactician output potential, he manages to defeat those opponents.

Boba Fett doesn't stand a chance.

Star-Lord can evade, pin Boba with the gravity device (easily), shoot him with two kinds of blasts, wrap him up like he did with Spider-Man, he's got this. Boba can win a small majority due to his gun and armor, but I wouldn't bet on him. He'd be completely immobilized for Star-Lord to finish off. Star-Lord also has a great energy resistance and control feat that occurred before being anywhere near Ego, I'm not even sure if he'll receive more than light burns at most from Boba.

I do believe people are underestimating Canon Boba Fett considerably. In TCW, young Boba Fett has plenty of feats that'd give Starkiller, at the very least, a challenge. If not, more.

Boba Fett handles Kage Warriors expertedly, taking them out one by one with little to moderate difficulty. For reference, if you continue watching, Kage Warriors were so martially skilled, agile, and fluent in teamwork that they were a challenge for Asajj Ventress herself.

Boba Fett takes on Krizmo, leader of this particular clan of Kage Warriors. In the few minutes of screen time Krizmo has, his speed, reflexes, Batman-like stealth, and combat skill could honestly transfer to Marvel and DC comic-tier street-levelers very well. Being able to stealth and almost instantly disarm Asajj Ventress, one of the most deadliest women in the galaxy at the time, is no small feat.

Moreover, Krizmo literally flips and weaves through individual blaster bolts on a fully automatic setting, as well dances around them. For the uneducated, blaster bolts are written to be just as fast as bullets. Truthfully speaking, I'm not so sure even Batman could do that.

Truthfully, the entire fight's impressiveness seems pretty self-explanatory.

Furthermore, that's not even to mention the fact that Krizmo only knocked out Boba while he was distracted. Nor is to mention that outside of Ventress, a Force-wielder, Boba Fett who is the only one who gave Krizmo an even match.

And finally, this was all before Boba Fett had even reached his prime.

@rebake: And Boba can dodge all of that as well. Peter doesn’t even have a legit bullet timing feat, just an aim dodge, so no, he’s not evading the initial shot.

Too much “hype” from IW is clouding people’s judgements. Just the fact that you think he’ll only receive light burns from Boba’s blasters is proof enough of that.

@thevivas: ROTJ showed him losing to less than Starlord. Starlord has been underrated for the longest time. Getting the better of Iron Man even for a moment is an excellent feat and shows major competence on Starlord's part. Iron Man didn't know who he was and could've easily incapped him if Starlord didn't know what he was doing.

@thevivas: says the person who stated Boba would just shoot Star-Lord. Star-Lord's not fodder you know, and actually has some energy resistance and pretty decent evasion.

@rebake: Boba shooting Starlord is what can and will happen. You think he’s going to jetpack at him and try to engage in hand-to-hand? What else is he going to do with his guns?

Starlord has no evasion feats to say he can dodge shots from a trained marksman like Boba and no energy feats whatsoever that would let him tank a blaster bolt with “light burns at most”.

So yeh, not interested in this “debate” anymore.

@thevivas: Like I said, energy resistance. He's half celestial and he wasn't around Ego when he harnessed the power of the power stone which he held on his own for much longer than a normal human could (just grabbing the stone killed the Collector's servant and blew up the place). And he probably can dodge a significant amount of shots (he dodged Korath's blast). He's also physically tankier than people give him credit for. He took hits from Gamora and even if they weren't full force, we know that she's incredibly strong and taking a fraction of that puts him at least peak human in durability. He just doesn't job as hard.

Canon Boba struggled against an untrained Luke, lol.

What struggled and held off? Luke barely landed a single hit with his lightsaber (which was nothing more than a graze on Fett's helmet) on Boba while all of Boba's melee attacks drew blood from Luke. Heck, the only reason Boba actually lost was when Luke unconsciously used the Force as a sucker punch from behind Boba via that storage box Luke and R2 were there to pick up. Otherwise, Fett would have killed Luke with his own lightsaber.

Read that fight more carefully. Boba easily had the upper hand the entire time during that fight until Force Ex Machina came along.

@life_without_progress: Fett’s fight with Luke really was pretty pathetic. Which was unfortunate. It‘s probably more on Marvel’s editors screwing up then it is a reflection of Fett’s abilities. They show-horned a fight between Luke and Fett too early into the timeline and the creative team had to find a way to make it entertaining and fit with canon. Any slightly below-average Bounty Hunter should have been able to find a way to win that fight. Fett should have stomped based on how he is typically portrayed as one of the best bounty hunters ever.

@tparks: Well, to be fair, Luke only won by accident. Fett was stomping Luke for the majority of that fight until Luke accidentally used the Force for a sucker punch kind of attack.

@life_without_progress: That's fine and all. Which is why I said the creative team had to come up with a way to keep it canonical and entertaining. But a good bounty hunter should have still won is all I'm saying. It's just a shame they introduce Fett with a loss to a blind Luke.
