Superman has destroyed stronger items. Although it is an experimental alloy with vibranium it is not some invulnerable magic shield. It may not obey the laws of physics but neither does superman. With effort he breaks it over his knee
@childoftheatom: thor going all out just dented the shield (small dent) with mjolnir. Superman doesn't have better striking that mjolnir... He can maybe scratch it, or dent it a little but isn't going to destory it.
