It was stated that the only reason why he has that title in the first place is because the remains of whitebread's crew were to preoccupied with the deaths of Ace and Whitebread to stop Blackbeard from taking over Whitebread's territory which he already knew very well

If the remains of Whitebeard's crew had decided to fight Blackbeard as he was taking over Whitebeard unprotected territory he would not have the title of Yonko

Don't get me wrong I still think that Blackbeard is powerful just not on Yonko level per time skip

I've always wondered why Ace never used haki

I could see sabo taking it, BB just has 2 op ass fruits why sabo is mean with the Haki and fighting skills he is the most wanted criminal in the worlds 2 hand man.

And also Blackbeards darkness fruit is a logia so a Haki user might be able to beat him maybe Haki stops the black hole that sucks you in, idk. (Speculation cuz we haven't seen him fight a Haki user yet)

But I don't think BB is as strong as people make him out to be yet, I assume that he is going to get another power up that really puts him at yonko level.

He was still scared of Akainu after the timeskip.

Hmm Sabo put in a lot of work destroying the Colosseum but Blackbeard still beat Ace.

But I dunno due to BB's dumbassery and the unique property of his logia fruit he could actually get killed.

If this is Bllackbeard without the quake fruit he's losing. Unlike Ace, Sabo doesn't soley rely on his devil fruit to fight. Its just an added bonus. His haki is powerful as hell.

Yea Sabo wasn't very up close with his fruit he played range and even with zero experience was pumping out damage enough to annihilate the arena

Plus his stats are probably near Luffy in terms speed and strength. Blackbeard hasn't actually shown any speed feats to date, he's oafish and clumsy. And more than likely gonna accidentally let him get killed in a similar way that this happened. Where he stands there after talking too much again.

Only Sabo wouldn't let him get up in this case.
