Tournament Rules
In this tournament, each participant will select TWO street-level characters to represent, hence binary. Each match will be a 2v2 battle.
There will be perks, but they will be done differently. Instead of simply selecting your perks, they will be given to you based on the various synergies that your duo possess.
Here are the perks:
- Femme Fatales: If both of your characters are female, they will be morals off
- Best Bros: If both of your characters are male, they will have perfect teamwork
- Easy Allies: If both of your characters have worked together before as allies, they will have basic knowledge
- Smarty Pants: If both of your characters have at least 1 PhD, they will have 15 minutes of prep on the battlefield
- Sworn Enemies: If both of your characters were or are primarily enemies, they will both get one of their melee weapons turned into adamantium
- Otherworldly Forces: If both of your characters are non-human, they will both get complete immunity to all forms of sensing/tracking
- One World: If both of your characters come from the same world/verse, you will get to choose the battlefield
- Lover's Boon: If your characters have been romantically involved at some point, they will get the ability to negate one of the opponent's perks
- Unconventional Methods: If both of your characters are primarily considered as villains, then your team gets 1 piece of non-standard gear (within the limits)
- Good Guys: If both of your characters are primarily considered as heroes, then your team gets the help of 10 Special Forces Soldiers
You cannot have more than 4 perks, even though your duo might qualify for more. If that is the case, you can choose which 4 perks to use.
Some of the perks conflict with each other, for example, Femme Fatales and Best Bros. Androgynous or non-gendered characters cannot be considered for Femme Fatales or Best Bros. Anti-heroes or characters with no true moral alignment cannot be considered for Unconventional Methods or Good Guys.
For Otherworldly Forces, non-human would include robots, cyborgs, undead, aliens, etc. Metahumans (from DC) or mutants/Inhumans (from Marvel) will be considered human.
For One World, the chosen battlefield must not result in an unfair disadvantage to your opponent, i.e. not in the middle of the ocean. If both participants have the One World perk, the battlefield will be a combination of the two.
After choosing your two characters, mention which perks they qualify for. Proof will need to be provided in some cases.

Characters
Any characters from any medium can be chosen.
Your duo, without perks, must lose a majority to 616 Venom.
Your duo, WITH perks, must definitely lose to 616 Carnage.
As a general guideline for the maximum limits:
- Striking Strength: Building Level (4-5 stories)
- Lifting Strength: 25 Tons (including with TK)
- Durability: Building Level (Bulletproof against small-caliber gunfire is allowed)
- Travel Speed: Supersonic (Mach 1-2)Reaction Speed: Casual Bullet Dodging or Bullet Deflecting (supersonic to hypersonic, Mach 5)
- Energy Projection: Small Building Level (2-3 stories)
You can request any character, but if I do not know who they are, I will ask you to provide a RT for them. I will then check the RT, do some basic research, and confirm if they are allowed. I am pretty fair about this, but I will quickly refuse characters I feel are too hax and/or above the limits. My ruling is final.
If other people complain that a character is above the limits, either on this thread or by PM, I will reconsider. In order to ensure that this tournament runs fairly and smoothly, it is important for all participants to be honest about the characters they choose.
Voting Rules
- Only the two participants are allowed to debate
- If you want to be tagged to vote at the end, say "T4V"
- Vote for whoever was the best debater, or who convinced you more, not for which team you think would win
- Make sure to provide reasoning for your vote
- Votes based on obvious character bias will not be counted
- Be respectful, honourable, and civil
