Looking at Big Boss's respect thread although he is very skilled and has a good tactical mind, I don't think he has the damage output to keep Bloodshot down.

Direct hit by from missile then falls to the ground making a small crater is able to quickly willingly regenerate once inside the base

1)Runs past five machine guns tanking almost every round heals off the damage by the time he gets to the door
2) A direct headshot doesn't even bother him.

Charlie smashes Bloodshot's face to hard into the street it makes a crater and several cars jump then shocks with an arc charge Bloodshot gets up like nothing happened while weakened.
He also has several useful abilities

Bloodshot also has the speed to keep up

2) Dodges a close range shot from an alien pistol
3-4) Able to to intercept a bullet from close range. So you know those scenes where the hero runs in the way of a bullet to take it for someone else? Basically that but it was at point blank range
And the strength

1)Punches Shadow man hard enough to crack a brick wall
2) With his good arm his able to match Gamma's strike who's strong enough to make cracks in concrete walls
3) Able to punch through the glass cockpit of a mech
Also if Big Boss has any tech on him Bloodshot would disable it.
