Of course it's a parody, this show was meant to make fun of hero anime, pretty much like one punch man. It's like saying that saitama can't defeat naruto in his own universe.

Don't use VSbattles as your source of information. Their scaling is so inconsistent it's horrible. Not to mention that some verses have better tier because they are liked by certain admins while other are heavily downplayed.

Sadly this actually true. Ajimu is basically god and has plot/story manipulation too. She's also completely aware she's a fictional character and can bend the rules. She can also take away other people's powers.

Unfair match though. This is beyond a mismatch. Nothing short of true omnipotence can beat ajimu. You need a Multiversal/Universal Reality Warper or a true omnipotent being to give her a good fight.

She comes from a manga that's essentially a play on the shounen genre. She's another one of those "Joke" characters mainly used to prove a point or point out a trope/idea.

A lot of the characters in Medaka Box have really stupidly overpowered abilities.

The main character has the ability to copy and learn anything. Literally anything she sees done, she can do it. This has no limit whatsoever. As she is seen gaining another character's power who could steal anyone's powers and that power had no limit to how many people he could do it on.

The first antagonist had the ability to erase anything. Even his own death as shown when he was killed and he instantly brought himself back to life. He also can erase abstract things such as him losing a fight, other peoples existence, life and death, reality, and other people's powers.

Another guy had the ability to create powers.

You see how bad this manga gets?

Iihiko is neither and he beat her one hundred million times. :P

Lihiko is a reality warper, his ability is passive. Anything he does is unstoppable. He is essentially therefore unstoppable. Also he's essentially immortal as if he dies he simply gets reincarnated.

Also he has a few other hax abilities.

Also Ajimu claimed she couldn't beat medaka, which she clarified she could erase/negate medaka's power and leave her powerless, but still wouldn't be able to win due to medaka being the protagonist of the manga.

Again don't take characters in medaka box too seriously.

Ajimu can't beat Lihiko or Medaka, makes no sense.

Zenkichi can beat medaka. Also makes no sense. Zenkichi's only power that he had, given to him by the guy who create powers, was to eliminate circumstance, He could only win if he truly won, not out of luck. Which is also such an abstract power. The manga is really not to be taken too seriously.

It's more of a reflection on common shounen tropes.

@factoverbias: He can still be somewhat harmed with enough physical force, as shown in his fight against Medaka. He's very anti-hax, but his durability isn't infinite. He's not a multiversal reality warper, nor omnipotent, so that statement of yours was false. :P

Iihiko and Medaka both have in-universe plot armour, an actual power in their universe. Zenkichi can't beat Medaka in a fight, she always trashes him easily, he only won that election while he had the protagonist negating power iirc.

I never said he couldn't be hurt, infact I said every time he dies he gets reincarnated, meaning he can definitely get hurt.

The ability to have the rules bent just for him is more or less a reality warping ability to me.The guy who could erase anything could manipulate reality to a limited extent was considerably weaker than him.

Lihiko has plot armor. Which is really dumb in itself as pretty much every character is just broken or has too much plot armor in the manga. Okay fine he's not a reality warper, but beerus doesn't have the plot armor that lihiko had.

There's too many things wrong with taking the manga seriously.

It wasn't a protagonist negating power. He beat her in the sense that her beat her in a election, so no he didn't beat her in a fight.His power was more of a downgrade than an actual power, He lost any ability to rely on luck or circumstance to win.

If someone shot a bullet at zenkichi, there is no chance that the bullet would miss or hit him in a non vital organ. If the shot is aimed at the right place, it will hit that place.

If Zenkichi had to win the election, he genuinely had to win it by having more votes than Medaka, nothing could interfere or give zenkichi an unfair advantage because of his power.

This was more used as a demonstration of zenkichi surpassing the main character, and used as a joke on the development of side characters. The character who stood no chance against the main character beating the main character as a value on the tropes of shounen manga.

The value is that all his life he wanted to be as good as her, to be able to keep up with her and ended up surpassing her.

The in-verse plot armour is more like luck manipulation of sorts, the very strong kind. Kumagawa only has hax, Iihiko negates hax, of course the former would lose badly.

You can take the manga seriously. It's ideas are meta and weird at times, but it's internal logic is consistent for the most part.

Yeah, what's so unbelievable at her losing the election? It's a popularity thing, not a fighting thing, don't see why it'd make no sense.

Okay it's more of a mixture of reincarnation and possession. His consciousness gets transferred to someone else each time he "dies"

Also yeah I don't think the manga is that inconsistent. It's just that the manga creates and regulates it's own set of rules and because of that, battles of characters from other fandoms don't work 1 to 1. DBZ's laws of reality work differently.

Because Medaka was the most popular person in the school. Her ability wasn't limited to being the best at fighting. From a young age she accelled at everything. All the guys were in love with her, She had the entire popularity of the school, she was the smartest in the school, the best at fighting. Her power was to copy and learn anything. She wants to ace that test next week? No problem.

Wants to have someone fall in love with her? No problem? Wants to win a competition of any kind? No problem.

That's her character. Being good at everything. Her only problem as a character is that she wants to serve others and help everyone else reach the best of themselves.

Again this was a play of her being the main character. So the fact zenkichi beat her in anything was a "a big deal"

I think it was great zenkichi won, it just didn't make any sense. But that's what's great about Medaka box, nothing has to make sense all the time.

I actually can't remember if he possessed shiranui, It's been so long since I've read the manga, I must've accidentally remembered the possessing ability as reincarnation. My bad on that.

I'm trying to not sound like I hate medaka box, I don't. I actually enjoyed it. It's just hard to necessarily have fights with their characters against other fandoms since logic and plotarmors and abilities are very abstract and work in their own ways. Although they are consistent.

When I originally read the manga, I never fully grasped the Plus and Minuses of the manga.
For anyone who doesn't know plus and minus abilities are types of abilities in the manga.

iihiko is a parody of the reader/audience which is why nothing works on him twice and he is constantly searching for something new and "fresh" and only words may reach/effect him

Ajimu IS stronger than iihiko but its just that he is unreachable because ajimu suffers from narrative casuality and basically has to follow the rules of the verse she is in

iihiko was also the "main character" or "hero" once upon a time and thus has plot armor so he may not be defeated

Perhaps a more accurate/interesting way to digest Iihiko is when you look at the series through the perspective of it being a parody of shounen.

What does Medaka represent? Medaka represents the main character of the shounen, which is why she "cannot lose" and is Mary Sue as fuck.

Who does Kumagawa represent? Kumagawa represents the antagonist or villain of the shounen, which is why he is always fated to lose to the good guys or the main characters. This is his inescapable role in the series, and what he truly wishes to combat/change.

Who does Ajimu represent in the series? Ajimu's existence is that of the author. She is the "god" of the universe and has an overwhelming power, but even the author cannot beat the main character and end their story with defeat. The author needs the main character to succeed because without a main character, there wouldn't be a story, unless of course they simply change who the main character is and begin a different course.

Finally, who does Iihiko represent? What entity in the creation of a manga is even stronger than the author? Iihiko represents the audience of the manga. He represents the readers. That's why his destruction is irreversible. Viewers (or lack of them) can effectively end a manga permanently. They are constantly seeking FRESH content and are unaffected by the same story/plot development/scene/concept twice. Readers are impatient people with a constant need for something new and exciting, which is why Iihiko was searching for something new and "fresh." He was unaffected by all of Ajimu's tricks because he'd seen them before, they were boring, overdone, and old. Manga needs to remain fresh in order to survive, and that's what the Iihiko arc was basically trying to emulate in its roundabout way.

Now Medaka's scene where she's explaining how Iihiko would break her makes a lot more sense. Readers have an entirely different way to kill characters in a manga than the author or other characters would have. In a way, Medaka's final fight was against her very audience.

The reader is able to be moved "emotionally" by the words of the author/characters. Readers can be affected by something a fictional character says. Viewers can be inspired by a speech from a book. Iihiko can be "affected" by the words (styles) of the characters."

a character can lose to a character weaker than them if they are hard countered

How she counters Hakai an Instant AoE while getting speedblitz? She doesn't have feats near as Beerus has and her many abilities didn't save her in own show against stronger characters. Using No limits fallacy doesn't make you a winner.

its already canon that she can read minds and would already know what beerus was going to do before he did it

its also canon that she can nullify any ability she wants

just because she cannot pierce iihikos plot armor hax does not mean the beerus receives the same treatment

its part of iihikos plot for "skills to not reach him" but nothing of the kind was ever stated or proven in db lore for beerus
