Beat my animal

You get to choose one animal, must not be extinct, that can defeat my animal in a straight up battle on open ground 1 on 1, you may use the largest recorded kind of your animal. Both animals will be considered enraged.

My choice:

African Elephant

24,000 lbs (11,000 kg)

13.2 feet (3.96 meters)

I was talking with some friends and we're pretty sure no living singular land animal can take this animal, though we agreed some birds would stalemate.

By battle we mean a fight where both animals interact and engage and resolve the winner by that engagements, an animal that poisons and runs away will loose the battle even though the elephant might die days or hours later.

Humans are animals so I choose myself and solo hard.

A rhino maybe?

What about Sea creatures? Great White Sharks could probably beat Elephants in the water. But they would obviously lose if they where out of the water.

I don't think there is any animal still alive that can beat the elephant with these stipulations.

Millions of ants. They could attack it internally and it won't be able to do anything to stop it.

@narutobleachfan: again that would lose the battle but maybe win the war, according to rules stated above, though I'm not sure mesquito can either Pierce the thick hide nore carry enough plague to kill a beast this size

@ElderElijah190 that would not be a singular animal and thus does not fit the rules. A pride of lions could probably do the same thing

Could a giant squid be Mobile enough on land? They are up to 43 feet 2000 lbs. But I think being fully on land they'd just be a giant sack of jello

@drache64: No it wouldn't be able to do anything and even if it could it is smaller and weaker than an elephant.

Maybe a poisonous snake could kill an elephant but it would get squashed.

@drache64: Tiger actually, has killed elephants before.

Would be the perfect choice if it wasn't extinct.

Its going to take something with venom because no living land animal can overpower an Elephant. So I'm just going to go with a king cobra. dont know if it will work but its the best chance anything has.

Tigers, on rare occasions, have been able to take down Asian elephants, so a tiger may be able to take down an African elephant as well, I know Asian elephants are smaller than African elephants, but it’s really not that significant of a size difference that it would prevent the tiger from getting on the back and clawing it’s way down. So a tiger could take it down, although more often than not the tiger would just get the hell out of there.

If We're allowed to have the animals follow specific strategies a Lion or a Tiger could get under it, disembowel it and get away before it sits down and crushes it.
