Even if Xavier didn't want to fight Luthor there are over a 100 different ways he could incapacitate him while he figured out what to do. This is no contest.

Yeah it was the other way not to long ago, the Marvel bias was out of control but now it seems to be coming around to the other side.
You say Luthor would build a machine to help him defeat Xavier but guess what Xavier already has one, its called Cerebro.

I too am sick of SOME DC people thinking that everyone in DC can beat everyone in marvel. Luthor vs Xavier give me a break! Xavier could kill Luthor from 250 miles away and luthor could do absolutely NOTHING to stop it. Yeah lex is brilliant, but so is charles, and like Gambler said Charles is an omega level mutant! This is not even close!!

Xavier takes over Luthors mind, has Luthor rewrite his will and bequeath all of his assets to Xaviers school. To make sure the will gets executed properly, without lengthy investigations, luthor is telepathically forced to create a device that greatly acclerates the aging process. The machine is rigged with a device that causes it to teleport itself into space after it is used. Charles forces Luthor to use it on himself and luthor ages 50 years in 50 seconds and dies of natural causes. Xaviers school inherits luthors fortune. As a side note, Xavier does all of this without leaving the mansion and without luthor ever even knowing who he is. Now that is better than a mindblast.
