@wyldsong: great thread
@k4tzm4n: Well I can't say who I'd side with since I am no expert on Logan. But I do think there were a couple of extra things to be considered regarding Oliver's skills and options there. For example, he could use a grapple arrow to quickly get to a vantage point where Logan won't be able to reach him, and use it to either snipe him from there, using the elevated position to his advantage, or maybe sneak around him/lure him into a trap, which is basically what he did against Komodo in Lemire's run. I don't know if Old Man Logan has the acute senses of smell and hearing that his regular/younger counterpart does, but Oliver's stealth is pretty incredible. He was able to sneak up on wild animals and get close enough to actually grab them and snap their necks (and that was when he was stranded on the island and was still untrained).
Another thing is that his quickdraw is pretty incredible. In all of his portrayals one of the things that were most consistent about him was his ability to send arrows flying one after the other with impossible speeds and of course uncanny accuracy. I think it's definitely a factor worth considering, especially since you can never know what arrow this guy is sending at you. He's very trigger-happy with his trick arrows, really, which could be the downfall of a guy like Logan who would very likely not even bother trying to dodge.
Green Arrow is probably the most underrated (mainstream) street-level hero out there
That is very much true.

He does and has utilized it multiple times.
I don't want to sound like i'm lowballing Oliver or anything, but i don't think he stands a chance here. OML has taken beatings from Hulks and taken hails from arrows and continued fighting despite the fact his healing factor is extremely slow.
@all-father: I have no doubt that Oliver won't be able to beat him with raw physical damage alone. But he has quite a lot of other options. Cryonic arrows that he can use to freeze him in a block of ice, sonic arrows (that would probably be a lot more effective than normal due to Logan's enhanced hearing), tranqs, etc. He uses these things all the time. Explosives should tax him quite a lot as well according to what I've seen in katzman's link, and Oliver's extremely trigger happy with those.
Huh...I thought the BOTW hadn't done any results threads for a few months, at least I hadn't noticed any. But this thread inspired me to check back, and I found three weeks that my argument had been featured in that I somehow didn't get the notifications for. Those three brought me up to what had been my goal for some time now, which having an argument featured in 50 battle of the week results threads. Yay me!
It looks like there have been about 200 BOTW in the past (give or take, depending on how you count them since not all ended up having a result), so that's about a 1 in 4 record, not bad considering I haven't argued in anywhere near all of them.
Not to pat myself on the back or anything. But I am pretty excited to hit this milestone. The question is, do I retire, or go for 100?
