Im going to say Sentry though i can be convinced.

Sentry wins.

It's short and blunt but it's the truth.

What's your thoughts on the battle?

Gladiator because Sentry is mentally unstable in-character.Though I could be wrong.

well I believe the edgelord and i agree that Gladiator is the clear superior winner... i mean how can you expect Blondie to win? he was tossed around by She-Hulk

we're talking about a guy who couldn't even catch Punisher (cite Punisher, Dark Reign #1) after Punisher tried to kill his boss. Punisher led the Blonde Barbie wannabe for like an 8 page chase.

Sentry has done almost nothing to impress me.

Actually, Gladiator should take this.

Why gladiator wins?

Strength:

Sentry, though strong, doesn't have physical strength even in the same realm as Gladiator does. He can't simply grapple with Kallark, who would manhandle him as soon as they come in close quaters range.

Gallery

Gladiator and sentry against weights of similar size, look the difference. Gladiator effortlessly lifts and throws it, sentry fails to even stop it.

What makes it even more impressive is tha fact that Gladiator lifted possibly bigger object (its full size is unseen in both panels) and helicarrier consists of a large amount of empty space inside.

And that's not an outlier for Gladiator

Now I know people are going to say "sentry failing to lift helicarrier is PIS" but no, before that, you need to show me sentry lifting something heavier and bigger which he hasn't.

Speed:

Gladiator has several showings of super-speed, in contrast to sentry who only has a handful. Even those handful of showings are nowhere near Kallark's.

• In travel speed, Gladiator regularly crosses Galaxies in hours, minutes and sometimes even seconds. Sentry never showed anywhere near that thing.
• In combat speed, Gladiator has two faster than light showings and two showing of overwhelming characters with super-speed (starjammers and GotG ; Cannonball) with ease. I don't remember Sentry showing anything like that.

Durability:

• Sentry doesn't have many durability feats against characters on Gladiator's level. While some people might argue that he has taken hits from Thor, WWH it must be mentioned that WWH messed him up bad in 3-4 hits, and he never tanked repeated hits from Thor.
• Gladiator has taken hits from characters who hit harder than Sentry, who is not that special in terms of blunt force offense.
• While sentry is undoubtedly more powerful in terms of raw power, I must mention Gladiator's exceptional durability to energy-based assault. He has tanked blasts from binary, Vulcan, Thor, Masterson Thor, flown through sun, tanked a supernova capable of wiping out half a solar system and even blasts from Tyrant. He can tank blasts from Sentry.
• Sentry's durability to heat is rather bad. Even void, even death seed sentry were atomized by sun. Gladiator's heat vision is hotter than the core of sun. He will damage Sentry greatly with his heat vision.

EDIT: Also, Gladiator is much more likely to cut loose before Sentry.

@reaverlation: How is sentry faster? What speed feats sentry has done which Gladiator can't replicate? For every sentry speed feat, Gladiator has better speed feats.

Actually, I have an idea, make a battle of the day results thread, and update it with new posts when a BotD is over, posting the result and best argument from both sides.

Because (assuming he fights seriously) he packs far more power than Gladiator does. For instance I don't see Kallark going toe to toe with Green Scar like Sentry did...

A holding back green scar, who still broke his face with a total of three punches, against an all-out sentry unleashing his power like never before. And hulk calmed down, not reverted back by force.

Sentry doesn't have the speed, strength and durability to fight Gladiator and win.

The guy who didn't get his ass handed to him by Gladiator and oneshot by Gambit.

Since Bob is stable he would probably win.

argument for gladiator being stronger than sentry. Shows 1 scan of sentry being unable to lift something, shows 1 scan of gladiator being able to lift something= gladiator being stronger......

I think a better Match-up would of been Blue Marvel tbh, with feats like Gladiator tanking explosions from the collision of his eyebeams and Tyrant I used to have my doubt but he's lost pretty badly to Jane Fosters Thor, he was fairly matched when fighting Hyperion, King Hyperion was able to stale-mate two Hyperions at once, judging from Gladiators fight with just one I have my doubts if he would of been able to pull this off, Blue Marvel has defeated King Hyperion as well... so it should be closer (And I'm aware King Hyperion is a bigger Jobber than Apocalypse but it's the most direct comparison imo)

Sentry would beat Blue Marvel as well.

A weakened Sentry was able to beat BM.

@nick1994: I'm sorry for being unclear I was referring to a better match-up being Gladiator vs Blue Marvel as they are pretty close to each-other in feats, both are out-matched by Sentry though.

I honestly have no idea what "normal" power level Sentry is anymore.

Anywho, Ill go Gladiator. I believe @apex_pretador pretty much nailed it and that was without even going with some of Kallark's stated feats (ie - the black hole stuff).

This is about to get interesting.

Sentry is not losing to Gladiator. And lol at Glads doing better against opponents than Sentry has. For one I mean he stalemated the World War Hulk as opposed to Kallark who got demolished by a weaker version.
