Blank did prove to have better durability than Oliver, and nearly choked him out.
I'm not quite convinced he's got better durability than Oliver. There's a lot of variables in a fall like that, especially through a table, even if they fell the same height Oliver definitely could've landed in a less optimal manner, or perhaps taken more damage from the table break. Even then, their recovery wasn't that different, I think Blank was just more agressive and that's why he attacked first. Especially because that fall really does pale in comparison to many of Oliver's other durability feats, including consistently jumping from heights many times that in combat with no damage.
The choke really didn't last all that long, and Blank only got that opportunity due to the fall. Before that, Oliver had a pretty definite advantage, landing many more hits on Blank than vice versa. Then once he recovered, he broke the hold and ended things pretty quickly.
I don't think Oliver was really giving it his all against Blank, and I don't think the fight lasted long enough to put Blank on S1 Ollie's level (who I think would destroy Batroc). I just can't see Blank lasting against Batroc's raw ferocity and power, especially when I think Batroc gave Cap a better fight than Blank gave Oliver.
@tj849: And by superior you mean got his asshanded to him by an unarmed Oliver beaten through a hallway then down a starircase, failed to hold him in a chokehold and then got killed by a poker even though he had a gun throughout the entire encounter and never landing a hit? Or do you mean by superior that he almost got killed by Laurel?
@stahlflamme: Nice lowballing, "almost got killed by Laurel", she missed her shot completely and her gun got jammed or ran out of ammo (cant remember which one) and Ollie saved her ass. You do realise he got surprise attacked and was durable enough to tank all of his hits? Once he got himself into a good position he was able to match him skill wise.
Then they both felldown the staircase and Mr Blank was stomping him, Ollie got lucky that the sword was right next to him otherwise he would've been shot dead. Lets not forget that he knows pressure points as well, Batroc doesnt even stand a chance.
@tj849: Yeah, Laurels gun got jammed. Ergo it was pure luck he did not get killed by her. And we see him throw multiple punches and miss every time not to mention him being surprise attacked is an interesting interpretation given that he had already encoutnered Oliver beforehand and blown the chance to kill him. Your definition of stomping is also amazing given that Blank simply grabbed Oliver pnce trying to choke him and was unable to hold him. Then he pulled out his gun and was diaarmed abd killed not with a sword but some fireplace poker. So Blank literally just got his assbeat throughout the whole thing except one time when Oliver throwing them down gave him an advantageous position and a brief moment were he managed to deflect a couple of hits. Watch the fight again Blank got his asskicked and did not land a hit even though he had a forearm the whole time against an unarmed opponent.
Back at it again with the lowballing, I see. Smh... It was a galaxy busting move at least.
