Batman (DCEU) vs Grant Ward (MCU)

Both are in-character but fighting all out and the fights are to the death or incapacitation. They take place in an abandoned warehouse.

1. Standard gear (Batman has his gear from the warehouse fight, Ward has standard Shield gear), start 20 yards apart and visible
2. Strictly H2H combat (Batman is wearing his standard suit, Ward is wearing a Shield tactical suit)

Who wins each round and why?

It's funny I've never watched AOS because I thought it would suck.

I would give it to Bat.

AOS seem boring, I try to keep watching and got disinterested. Granted I might try a free trial of Neflix to watch Daredevil.

@jgames: season 1 of AoS is pretty bad. Its okay after episode 11, the Thor tie in, and it's good after 18, The winter Soldier tie in.

Batman. He's faster, more agile and can disarm Ward with the quickness and he's bullet proof. Even with the icer Ward would have to shoot him in the mouth to KO Batman.

You can afford to literally skip half of the first season. Nothing happens.

@patrat18: He's not fully bullet proof IIRC only the black parts are. He was stabbed in the chest with a regular knife wielded by a regular merc.

Batman. Stronger, probably faster, and with a cool head he's probably similar in skill.

@never_give_up: Start AoS at season 2. You got the basics already from these forumsn so just jump right in to season 2. It honestly starts out good and improves to excellent over the course of the season. MOST although not all of season 3 has been flat out amazing. I was brought to literal tears on some grown men around the tv crying last week.

Bruce will use the location to his advantage. Round 1 should go to Bruce. If this is in Gotham, it's likely he knows the ins and outs of every part of the warehouse. He'd stay out of sight and use intimidation to put Grant on edge. He'd come up behind him and take him out. Round 2 goes in Bruce's favor as well. Bruce would go for a full out assault. Grant uses his environment to his advantage, which won't be much use considering the location. Bruce has shown to be faster, stronger and WAY more skilled. He's also been shown to multitask a lot more. I'd go as far as to say Grant won't even land a hit on Bruce, IMO. Bruce is a lot more brutal and won't hold back. Bruce 9-10/10

Pretty sure ICERs were one-shotting SHIELD/HYDRA agents even while they were wearing ballistic armor, as stupid as that was. So I don't think Bruce's armor will hold up to more than a few shots.

I think people are underestimating Ward a bit here, at least in the H2H round. Especially because Batman only has one real H2H fighting scene and he didn't even clear the room without getting tagged several times.

It doesn't mean anything that a guy stabbed him with a knife, Bulletproof vests aren't stab proof. There are some vest that are both but they sacrifice their resistance to bullets and I think that to Batman it's more important to be bulletproof.

Ward has gone through fights with heavily trained people, as well as superhumans, without being tagged. But Batman was knifed by a regular thug in basically his only fight scene in the movie. Ward has better experience from the number of feats we've seen, whereas Batman lacks in that department. Ward should win both rounds, in my opinion.

While I agree with the whole post in general, but I must point out that Anatoli was a professional mercenary on the movie and he had a pretty good team when he killed the people in Africa. I don't think that he would hire any common thug to do the mission.

@black_arrow: That isn't true. Soft vests aren't stab proof for the most part...that used to be true anyway. Civilian vests nowadays are made wihh no crap carbon nano tube fibers with non newtonian fouid backings. A 3/8 in panel weighs less the a lb and can stop multipl .44 magnum rds on top of .45 and a glock 9 at a few feet. I don't know if a knife can actually penetrate that fiber as easily.

Any plated armor, whether it be a500, sapi or cnt (carbon nanotube again) will stop a knife cold.

Well, technically speaking, Current Grant Ward is HIVE and he would kill him effortlessly.

If we are talking Pre-Hive Ward, Batman wins both rounds.

Eh, Ward could win the first round if he maintains distance and shoots Batman fatally. Batman should win in a hand to hand fight though.

Rd 1: Maybe Ward if ICERS are considered standard gear. IIRC they work even though geared up clothes.

Rd 2: Batman. More durable and hits harder.

Ward stomps both rounds as of now, don't know how you can debate otherwise seeing as he holds every advantage apart from maybe raw strength but his striking power is significantly better

@royal_warrior: when had ward ever kicked somebody across a warehouse, or put somebody's head through a floorboard with a single punch? Batman's striking feats are no joke on par with cap.

Round 1 I'd give to Ward. He has the skill, marksmanship, and physical awareness to keep Bruce on the back foot.

Round 2 I'd give to Ward as well. Too skilled and physically gifted.

1. Having to say they are both visable means you are not thinking of Batman but Bruce Whayne. In any fight with batman to even touch validity he should be able to be invisible. This is like saying that invisible girl fights someone but she faces them fully visable.

Anyhow Batman is still faster so he might respond faster in the beginning and get the first strike to disarm Ward. Batman wins

2. Not a challenge for Batman as he doesn't know every martial art, he MASTERED every single martial art. Ward won't be able to throw one punch that Batman won't see coming while Batman can switch over to another style with every opportunity to finish Ward
