i highly doubt Base Goku went from not being able to beat full power Frieza from the namek saga to being able to beat Buu

Gokus base got absurdly powered up, he wins with next to no difficulty.

The Super Saiyan God ritual was a huge boost.

Before the SSG Ritual, SSJ3 Goku got one shot by a chop when Beerus was using less than 10% power.

After SSG Ritual, Base Goku was pushing Beerus back when Beerus was using 50% or more.
