Vegito stomps so hard its not even funny. Both Goku and Vegeta haven't gotten nearly strong enough to suggest Base Gogeta stands a chance.

For people to claim that Gogeta wins here, they have to also be claiming that Goku/Vegeta got over 500x stronger in their base compared to the Future Trunks Arc (And that's a massive low-ball, we all know SSB is a much higher multiplier than 500x aswell as the fact that Potara is stronger than Metamoran fusion anyway).

There isn't any evidence suggesting Post-ToP Base Goku and Vegeta have significantly surpassed their Future Trunks Arc Blue form selves, so Vegito takes this.

Which is why SSB Vegito easily defeats even SSB Gogeta, simply because the Potara Fusion is canonically more powerful and additionally benefits from the rival boost.

How big were the dimensions? Doesn’t GT base Goku have a feat of blasting apart a dimension?

Vegito burns through the fusion too fast with SSB and especially Kaioken. IMO Base Gogeta is sturdy enough to last until Vegito defuses.

I wish the movie would hint that Gogeta and Vegito are of the same level, thus ending these discussions.

Gogeta was just straight busting massive dimensions casually with punches, hell him and broly were warping through different dimensions and busting them just from fighting

@scotchbear: Based on what is it massive, and based on what did him and Broly warp different dimensions? Based on what did he do it casually? We don't even know the size of the dimension and the nature of their fight.

Personally I don't buy that Vegetto is stronger than Gogeta. If we look at the manga when Vegetto started overwhelming Boo, Kaioshin exclaimed that this must be the power of Potara. Elder Kai responded that he's a fool, and the reason Vegetto was so strong is because of Goku and Vegeta and their compatibility. I think that any fusion between the two of them, since they are so compatible, would be just as OP.

Gogeta is made by more powerful versions of Vegeta and Goku.

So in regards to this thread it’s a mismatch in favor of Vegitto

Based on the previous Janemba movie, it seems that Gogeta is way smarter and way more objective than Vegito, but the potara-fusion is always stronger, so it's not always about who is more powerful, but who has a better performance, who can use its powers better, as an example, Gogeta's Star Dust doesn't has a casual or an AoE destructive capability but an objective and absolute destructive power.

I hope they left out properties of Gogetas stardust breaker in the movie.

@limitlesssigil: all of that information on potara is now false. and held little weight to begin with since nothing in the manga corroborated the daizenshu. the fan canon of vegetto being a stronger fusion takes another hit since toriyama states the only reason they didn't do the dance was because it was already used in the movie, he would have been fine with gogeta.
