Adult toshiro should take this due to the fact that he can freeze all matter. Not sure how that interacts with the core of the sun but I'm leaning more towards it getting frozen tbh.

Any other version of toshiro gets absolutely bodied though

That would be the most basic explanation to it without going into the intricate details of the bleachverses fighting mechanics

While yes, Toshiro might be faster in his adult form seeing as he could fight Gerard, it’s still not addressing both their abilities. His ice simply isnt going to work while Yama’s bankai is active, and even if it could, there isn’t much he could do with it considering yama’s 15 million degrees cloak.

@ourmanuel: Royd Lloyd isn’t in any way considered a power house in the sternritters. Especially not on the level of Gerard. So fighting Gerard wouldn’t only give him the speed advantage, it would give him the spiritual pressure advantage.

Basically yamamotos flames would be snuffed out. Not even considering the fact that toshiros bankai freezes all matter and even hax.

Also, why is it that you take this scenario of a previously featless character matching a solidified top tier as a showing of the featless character’s power; but when a naruto character, for example, does the literal same freaking thing, all of a sudden it scales downward

Tbh Toshiro should be stronger and he has the ability to stop the function of all abilities, so the only question is if Yamamoto's heat can overcome Toshiro's freezing ability. I don't think that is a question that can really be answered from the feats we have, so really it could go either way, it would just depend on who's ability Kubo decided to take priority.

A lot of people in this thread completely misunderstand how Toshiro's zanpaktou works

Only the Immature Daiguren hyourinmaru used moisture in the air to create ice. Hence, why ZNT's ambient heat could render it ineffective. Mature Daiguren hyourinmaru, however, doesn't need water to freeze in Bankai. Toshiro also has the ability to freeze all substances, matter and elements, including fire/energy as shown by him freezing Gerrad's pure energy sword. Regardless of something having the temperature of the Sun, it's not immune to having its heat removed and become frozen over. And once Yamamoto and his Zanpakauto become frozen, all of their functions become suspended and any type of Kido Yama is also useless too. Reiatsu-wise, Bankai Adult Toshiro managed to overwhelm the super mode of an opponent that Shikai Kenpachi couldn't against their base.

All Toshirou would need to worry about it is dodging the tip of Yama's blade, which even the weaker Royd was more than capable of doing. He wins mid-high diff. The bleach community put Yama on a pedestal.
