Zeus stomps.

Prime Kratos would have stomped Baldur as well.

Depends entirely on the situation. If Baldur has his invulnerability, I believe it would be a Stalemate since Baldur can’t die but at the same time, there’s nothing in Baldurs abilities or arsenal that could kill Zeus. Zeus absolutely REFUSED to go down in God of War 3 and that was against PRIME Kratos. But, if Baldur doesn’t have his invulnerability, then Zeus wins with the force of a thousand curbstomps lmao

Honestly, most of the Greek Gods would just fight Baldur to a stalemate if Baldur has his invulnerability. The only Greek God that I think would come out with a win instead of a stalemate would be Hades and that’s only because Hades could use his claws to take Baldurs soul.

All that being said, I think Baldur without invulnerability is about Ares level or just below. Baldur is pretty strong and is more than likely the 3rd Strongest Norse God behind only Thor and Odin.

Everyone who keeps referencing "prime Kratos" as the Kratos from the original trilogy has absolutely no idea about GoW.

It's obvious that he's stronger now, even Cory stars this very early on that he's definitely not weaker.

Kratos is stronger with age! But now he's fighting against a warrior pantheon of God's compared the the more magical/ civilised Greek pantheon. Norse god's were ALL warriors...

Would say Baldur. Norse Kratos is confirmed to be the prime version of the character by Cory, not to mention Greek gods get stronger as they age, and Baldur was able to physically match him in their first fight. A weaker Kratos beat Zeus to death. Baldur~Prime Kratos>Greek Kratos >> Power of Fear Zeus.

@namenotfound:

Very bad logic.

First of all, you can't calculate the strength level between GOW 3 and 4 Kratos. You can only use feats. GOW 4 Kratos is superior but how much? So Greek Gods become stronger with age is meaningless.

Kratos is physically stronger, but it's also stated he lost most of his magic in Ragnarok. Greek Gods also stated to have a large magic arsenal, and Zeus is the leader of his Pantheon. Zeus vs Kratos wasn't a brute force

Kratos also had Blade of Olympus, and actually managed to kill him only with it (before Conceptual fight)

Nothing indicates Baldur or GOW 4 Kratos is above Power of Fear. Power of Fear Zeus one-shot GOW 3 Kratos, literally one-shot. and Kratos matched PoF Zeus with Power of Hope, another concept direct counter to it. And Kratos lost Power of Hope at the end of GOW 3. You can't scale nor Kratos or Baldur to any concept.

As for the OT, it can go either way. There is no direct scaling determined by directors. Baldur is physically superior due to GOW 4 Kratos scaling, and Zeus has better off-screen feats and hax. I heard arguments from both sides to say it's arguable matchup.

Baldur wins. Observe a side-by-side comparison of their performance against Kratos, taking into account the one Baldur fought against is much stronger than the one Zeus lost to. There is also the fact Baldur knocked out the World Serpent with 3 punches, whereas Zeus couldn't knock out an injured Gaia with his strongest attack, and the World Serpent >>> Gaia.

@heiqn: 1. Yes, I do agree that it's not really quantifiable, and Kratos is even visually WEAKER than his Greek self. However, all we know is that, as confirmed by the creator, he IS stronger than before. Zeus and Baldur both have a "push fight" (is there a specific term for this? Lol) when Kratos and Zeus fight over the BoO inside of Gaia and during Baldur and Kratos' first battle. Kratos ultimately won his scuffle with Zeus, so Zeus is at least PHYSICALLY inferior to Baldur by feats.

2. For a lot of the fight, yes. However, Kratos physically beat Zeus to death with just strength. No magic, no gear, nothing. Just his fists and Zeus' head. And considering we know Baldur is physically stronger than Greek Kratos, he should have no problem beating him to death too.

3. This one I'm kind of iffy on. Baldur has his invincibility, so I'm not even sure if Zeus' magic or the Blade will even work on him, but it might be able to overpower the spell, maybe? IDRK, so I'll leave this one up in the air. For the sake of simplicity, I would either remove the Blade or Baldur's immortality, but that seems like too much of a handicap to still be considered fair.

4. Are we assuming Zeus has the Power of Fear here? And again, would it really matter since he might not even be able to harm Baldur anyway?

So, if Zeus has the Power of Fear, it's either a win for Zeus or stalemate. If he doesn't, I'd argue in favor of Baldur.

First of all, where are you getting Greek Kratos being >>> Power of Fear Zeus from? Kratos was one shotted and neck snapped by Fear Zeus until he tapped into the greatest power in the series.

Baldur was able to physically match him in their first fight

Retired, quickly knocking rust off when Baldur shows up and consequently the 'rust really starting to come off' throughout the entirety of 2018's story but only 'getting really back into it' when training during Fimbulwinter.

Just Base Zeus mops, faced and performed better against an on-form, bloodlusted and haxxed up Kratos in GOW 3, who could only put him down with the use of the Blade of Olympus. Compare that to Cursed Baldur being put down by a reluctant, highly restrained Kratos who was past it. Fear Zeus easily decimates given how he one shotted GOW 3 Kratos who was >= Zeus and by extension >>> the rest of the Greek Mythology.

If Zeus has the blade of olympus he should win without much difficulty. That weapon one shotted a whole continent filled with titans.

Without it, It's a good fight. Baldur is physically superior but Zeus can fly and alter his size, id say stalemate.
