Avatar/LOK Tournament

Welcome to the Avatar Battle Tournament!

I was inspired by the tournaments that @batfreak2424 created, so I decided to adapt his tournament for the Avatar universe. I also received input from @anthp2000.

The goal of this tournament is to determine who is the most powerful/skilled character in the Avatar universe! Here's how it will work:

- There will be 5 divisions: non-benders, waterbenders, earthbenders, firebenders, and airbenders.

- In each division, there will be 8 combatants who face off 1v1. The loser of each round will be eliminated, and the winner will move on. Therefore, there will be a total of 7 rounds per division. Based on your votes, we will determine who is the best fighter in each division. Once we have our top 5 fighters (one from each division), they will then face off until there is 1 winner! I will provide my own vote at each round as well.

- For this tournament, bloodbending is prohibited, but all other bending styles are allowed. I will provide additional details or adjustments as needed.

- Combatants receive no prep and are in-character. They have basic knowledge of each other, and everyone is in their standard gear (unless stated otherwise). Random encounter. They know they are in a tournament and they are determined to win. Victory is decided by KO or death only.

- Each fight will take place in the Crystal Catacombs from The Last Airbender. Combatants will start at opposite sides of the arena (as seen in the picture). Time is twilight.

- Feats are from Avatar: The Last Airbender & The Legend of Korra TV shows ONLY. No comic feats allowed. All characters are from EoS of their main respective series (i.e.: Toph is from The Last Airbender EoS 3, not old Toph from Legend of Korra)

- If you simply want to vote, that is fine. If you want to provide reasoning for your vote, that is fine too.

- If you want to be tagged and notified when each round begins, please say so in the comments. I will begin by tagging those from the Battle Callout Phonebook. If I tagged someone by accident, I apologize.

@geekryan: Interessting but why not the current(comic) versions, that would be more interessting imho(and would fit more to the basic idea to find the most powerful/skilled character + division top dogs)?

Is it basically like voting in a CaV or something different?

Oh and i guess Eos not for all characters right, cause then would be Ozai in the non-benders division, Jet, CM, Ming and some others in the corpse division and Azula in the batshit crazy division XD?

IC and morals on will change my view on the power levels and tiers a whole lot so it's pretty interesting.

Asami definitely wins this one, maybe 8/10. She took down a bunch of equalists single handedly and one shotted the Lieutenant. Add in the elctricity vs metal advantage and it's not particularly close.

That's true, but the comics gave Toph, Aang, Azula, Korra and some others pretty good and helpful feats.

Oh yeah and i vote for Asami, she is simply a superior fighter in comparison with Jet.

Asami takes this handily. Arguably more skilled at H2H and the globe will be a huge asset.

Jet. In spite of Asami's weapon, he has more of a reach advantage and is agile enough to keep up.

You should assume a vote means "interested", until they say otherwise.

I guess, but there were people on Batfreak's tournaments who voted periodically but did not ask to be tagged. But alright, I'll tag whoever votes from now on.

And I'm thinking of replacing The Boulder, but there aren't too many other competent earthbenders...I was thinking maybe Long Feng (leader of the Dai Li) or Wei & Wing. Thoughts?

In all seriousness, I would say that a Dai Li from the eclipse would stand a chance against Bolin.

Asami would win pretty solidly. All she has to do is catch Jet's sword and electrocute him and he's down, and his skill showings aren't all that great. Not enough to suggest he'd beat Asami anyway.

I don't know, my dudes. Jet fought with Zuko evenly and took out one of the Dai Li by tripping him...

I'm voting for Suki. More experience, more skill, has had to rely on physical combat more than Zuko has
