@jedixman: faoras combat speed is completely unquantifiable, while aang has reacted to an explosion expanding while not being in avatar state.
He has wind blast strong enough to completely erode rock
And can shoot tiny pebbles fast enough to Do this

We know Faora is fast enough to get out of the way of high caliber gun fire. Not dissimilar to Aang's rocks. Though unlike Aang's rocks these rocks have a definitive speed.
And fast enough to casually react to MoS Superman's blitz attempt.
faoras combat speed is completely unquantifiable, while aang has reacted to an explosion expanding while not being in avatar state.
How is it unquantifiable? She evaded Mach 2.9 AP rounds with ease, was blitzing soldiers at virtually FTE speeds and repeatedly reacted to Clark's flight speed, which is MHS.
He has wind blast strong enough to completely erode rock
Yh, and Ozai was no-selling those very same blasts
Aang is a complete glass cannon here. One hit from her and it's over for him whereas she can take multiple hits from him and continue. She tagged a moving A10 out of the sky. She is fast enough to blitz
And can shoot tiny pebbles fast enough to Do this
We have no idea fast those pebbles move whereas we do know how fast A10's GU8 is. Further, these bullets can shred tanks like tissue paper
@jedixman: her only have to move 8 feet to the right to avoid the spray she already saw hitting the ground multiple times in front of her is not anything crazy.
She could be moving 1/100th of the speed of those rounds and get out of the way, seeing has she only has to move several feet and the bullets have to travel several hundred of feet or even further (don’t remember how far the planes were)
That “blitz” isn’t anything special because when Superman passes the speed of sound he breaks the sound barrier as shown in the same movie, he wasn’t flying faster than the speed of sound at that point or we would have seen the sonic boom.
He had no time to actually accelerate, so yes unquantifiable and nothing crazy.
@gxrevs06: she didn’t bullet time them, she noticed the spray hitting multiple times ahead of her and got out of they way, she could be moving 1/100th of the speed of the bullet and get out of the way seeing a she only has to move over several feet while the bullets have to travel hundred+ feet to reach her.
Clark didn’t break the sound barrier when he bullrushed her, when he travels faster than the speed of sound he breaks the sound barrier a shown in this movie, even nam ek caught Clark mid blitz the same nam ek that couldn’t react to the Mach 2.9 rounds at all.
Clark isn’t always flying at mhs speeds
@batman242: never said aang definitively wins, just pointing out that Faora isn’t that fast.
@skrskr: You're saying Mach 3 bullets aren't that fast, then? Because she undoubtedly dodged it. She waited only until she was in it's direct line of fire to move. And now you're staying Nam couldn't dodge the bullets, when that simply wasn't the case. He never attempted to, he wanted to tank the round.
And i thought Aang got already quite a bit wanked in the other thread against Azula but this is just crazy, Faora stomps.
@batman242: I’m saying she didn’t have to move Mach 3 to dodge them since she only had to move over several feet before the bullets had to travel several hundred feet and she was aware the spray was coming.
How do you know nam ek wanted to tank them and not dodge? Are you his friend or something?
Aang reacted to an explosion expanding in front of his face, she isn’t blitzing him at all.
@skrskr: I’m saying she didn’t have to move Mach 3 to dodge them since she only had to move over several feet before the bullets had to travel several hundred feet and she was aware the spray was coming.
Faora watched on as the bullets got closer and closer to her. She only moved when she was in the bullet's direct line of fire, feet away from her before she moved. The bullet traveling at mach 3 in transit to her and her casually moving out of it's path is beyond most in the MCU. You're using the same argument to say Hulk/Abom reacted casually to a projectile that moves at subsonic speeds; something even you could trace with your eyes as it moves along it's path. There's no logical way you could use this argument to say the likes of Thor is as fast as Faora is, no amount of scaling can help your case.
How do you know nam ek wanted to tank them and not dodge? Are you his friend or something?
Apart from him watching this slow path of bullets rain down slowly toward him? Yea, there's a line in the Official Novelization that explicitly states that he didn't attempt to move. I thought I had the scan posted here already, but I don't. I'd have to go onto my laptop to find the line.
Aang reacted to an explosion expanding in front of his face, she isn’t blitzing him at all.
That wasn't the point. The point ultimately is that Aang can't hurt Faora, but she can easily kill him with one hit. His bending abilities won't work much against her; he can't knock her out by robbing her of oxygen, because she doesn't need it and thus can't drown her either, both her body and armor are durable enough to resist extremely high temperatures (heat vision hurt her in the form of pressure cutting into her armor) so fire bending won't work and she's more than strong enough to break out of any Earth constriction he could use on her. Aang could play keep away for as long as he likes, but eventually, if not instantly, Faora will kill him.

@batman242: she was not the direct line yet, she moved as soon as the spray In front of her landed.
And even if she did wait till the shot was fired if the bullet was shot from 100 feet away and she only had to move 10 feet to the right to dodge the Mach 2.9 projectile that means she would only have to move a 10th of it’s speed giving her Mach .29 movement in that scene, but that is the highball since low flying for military jets is 250 ft so if the bullet had to travel 250 feet and she only has to move 10 feet then she would only have to be moving at Mach .116 to avoid the bullet. Which goes in line with her reacting to Superman who never broke the sound barrier while trying to rush her.
Also if there’s a line that supports nam ek choosing to not avoid that specific gun fire than I take back my statement of course.
She would absolutely not kill him In one hit, aang without his air shield survived a building busting punch without his airshield from the rampaging spirit, Faora never once busted a building with a strike. And now he has his amped air shield since he is in avatar state.
Also she was knocked out by having the jet fall on her, I would like to point out that if a jet flew into the same rocks aang demolished with his rock cannon the jet would explode on impact and not do any where near the damage aang did to said massive rock structures.
She could win, but he can absolutely hurt her and keep his distance he has massive flames with enough concussive force to destroy massive rock structures
The rock cannon that can dish out more damage than what knocked her out which would count as a win.
People forget that a weaker avatar in avatar state had a island level earthbending feat (avatar Kyoshi)
@skye02: Chobham is mostly ceramics backed by a metal matrix lol not the same as tearing through stone like tissue paper.
It’s made to be lightweight but protective so the tank can actually move.
“ a little debris” are you serious? Or did you not watch the clip?
If you see how high those rock structures towered and how thick they are and how many aang completely destroyed you wouldn’t be spouting such a blatant lowball.
