I'm pretty sure Todoroki wins both though round 2 would be pretty hard

I'll back Todoroki both rounds. He's one of the few Boku characters with quantifiable speed feats, and those feats are pretty good.

Todoroki stomps round 1.

Round 2 Todoroki takes it with difficulty.

@deathhero61: Yeah, it was against Aizawa. He summoned a giant wall of ice in the time it took Aizawa to do half a blink (he started when Aizawa's eyes were fully closed and it was up by the time Aizawa opened them again). This works for the speed of his ice as well. We know that Aizawa cancels quirks if he looks at you, so this all happened when his eyes were closed.

He also has some pretty impressive durability, taking a hit from Deku right in the stomach and being completely fine afterwards.

Todoroki horribly stomps R1, round 2 is up for debate.
If aang keeps his distance he may win, but he should still lose the majority.

@just_banter: after his fight with nomu his power has a recharge time so we only know it started when he blinked but not that it finished before he opened his eyes

Round 1 is kinda weird. Most of aangs movement is airstyle, so it's hard to imagine no air bending. Todoroki likely wins

Round 2 is a stomp for aang. Excluding the almighty speed advantage, no matter how slight, aang is superior in every category. Unless new chapter shows us something new

I'm not seeing why Aang can't/won't just bend the ice or fire back at shoto

R1: Todoroki. He is better with these elements.

R2: Aang easily. There is no way AS Aang could lose.

People seem to be underestimating the Avatar State here.

R1 goes to Shouto with low-mid difficulty.

R2 Aang should take with low-mid difficulty.

I'm not seeing why Aang can't/won't just bend the ice or fire back at shoto

Shouto can create ice/fire while benders are only meant to be able to manipulate the elements (it gets a bit iffy with fire benders though. Some of the more powerful ones seem to be able to just create fire even without the comet)

And Shouto can create very large amounts of ice/fire very quickly, and as such could overpower Aang without his Avatar State

R1: difficult, I don't think aang can bend the ice into water (unless allowed) which would be in his favor. Since he does not have Earth bending and airbending i say Shouto.

R2: aang stomps, he can fly, use all elements at once, become some giant flame, earth or fire monster that would be to much for shouto.

People seem to be underestimating the Avatar State here.

Fire benders can bend fire literally everywhere because of the sun even when the moon is at full, the comet only amped them. The sun at it's brightest also amps fire benders. If Shouto shoots fire aang can redirect the fire via bending.

Todoroki stomps in round 1. Aang is effectively only working with one element here as he barely has anyy fire bending feats and was still learning it.

Aang stomps in round 2. He' faster, more versatile and has far powerful in DC and AOE

Todoroki stomps R1 - Fire and Water are Aang's weakest elements, he gets bodied.

Aang effortlessly stomps R2 - the AS is way too much for Todoroki.

@mialthefencer: @mialthefencer: Fire and Earth are Aang's weakest elements. He naturally excelled at water bending.

Aang is an amazing earthbender - look at his fight with Ozai for instance. He had trouble learning it, but once he got it down he mastered it to an extremely high level. On the other hand, while he naturally excelled at waterbending, he basically stopped improving after season 1, and he seriously lacks combat feats with it.

@just_banter: you seriously think that Shoto beats avatar state aang? This is the same aang that can move islands, create giant chasms, overwhelm the fire lord and react to lightning after it’s been fired

Are yall sped

Aang was able to move ba sing sa Shoto doesnt even compare

even with fire and water and can bend shoto ice and his fire shoto has no advantage

And with avatar state its not even a competition

Aang wins with Minimal effort
